A wonderful adventure in the Marvel universe featuring a beloved character who is finally getting pop culture spotlight on a wider scale. I enjoyed this prose novel as a companion reading to the comics.

this book was amazing
I saw this book and decided to read it because honestly, I'm still so sad whenever I read think about how Chadwick died amd all.
this book made me picture him in my imagination and I'm so grateful for that.

it was quite long though, but I really loved it

One year without it's king and Wakanda is taken over by Killmonger. Killmonger, with the help of Venomm and few other allies from the palace, is looking to destroy and rebuild Wakanda, with him as the new king.

As a Marvel fan I was so happy receiving this ARC! This was a brilliant read! The author did a fantastic job in transforming this classic into a novel.

I can certainly agree to the fact that this book was jam packed full of action and drama with a marvel-lous (see what I did there) plot. It’s a fab book for anyone who loves Marvel and the Black Panther and is a brilliant book for those who want an expansion of the world of Wakanda and some extra adventure.

I love how in-depth this world was and how it was portrayed. Although at times I maybe did get a little bogged down with all of the names and getting to grips with the set up but I got well into it. The premise of the story was a good one, with T’Challa and Kilmonger locked in a battle for Wakanda.

Round and round the Black Panther and Kilmonger go, both fighting to attain the upper hand. T’Challa just wants to protect his people and save Wakanda but Kilmonger has other plans. He wants to see the death and destruction of Wakanda so he can rebuild it free from the influence of the Panther King.

T’Challa certainly has a lot to face in this with many (many) battles ahead of him. I also loved the addition of Monica in this and it made for a really compelling story to see her initiated into a world where she’s considered an outsider.

The world of Wakanda is so expansive and immersive and it made for a great book.

Thank you NetGalley and Titan Books for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I will post my review on this book on Story Graph closer to the time of publication.

I am a massive marvel fan so of course I loved this book. This was a very easy read and beautifully written. My favourite sentence in the book was: “so dark and smooth it looked as if black water, the night itself, had risen up and swallowed him whole” to describe Black Panther’s suit. I loved how this novel followed a similar storyline to that of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther - which is one of my favourite films. This book is not just for marvel fans, it is suitable for everyone, even those who are not at all familiar with the character. Rest in peace Chadwick Boseman.

I had enjoyed the Panther’s Rage arc as a comic and was excited to read the book itself. I had enjoyed the Dark Phoenix Saga novel by Titan Books and this was done just as well as that book. You would think it wouldn't work but it does. I enjoyed being able to imagine the worlds and the characters in it. It was a wonderfully done novel with great characters.

"T’Challa paused as he heard movement deep in the briar behind him. The sounds were subtle and faint. Something was attempting to be stealthy. Or somethings. Nevertheless, the Black Panther heard them with his enhanced senses."
