It’s a great book for astrology enthusiasts. Very informative and in depth. For those who are already familiar with this area it can be a great guide/resource to refresh your memory or expand your knowledge.
I would say it’s not for a total beginner. I’m one of those who doesn’t know anything about astrology except my own sign. And it was confusing to read sometimes. As I like to say “the deeper you go into the woods, the more trees you’ll find and more darker it gets”.
After reading this book I understand, how much I still need to study in order to get a grasp on astrology, and I’m not sure I have patience for it.
Nonetheless I think it is a solid book.

This book is a good solid introduction into basic astrology for readers who want to understand its broad spectrum, not only horoscopes. A good investment for people who a new to the field.

Very well written, so simple to understand. This author did such a great job of not put a lot of bullshit in this book. I wasn’t confused, was able to follow it. I think for the first time, I could sit down with this book and read my own chart. I’ve read about 20 some books before this one. This was such a pleasure to read.
100% recommend

A Great Resource Book

April Pfender provides some background information on Astrology, along with defining what it is. She states that Astrology is the study of interpreting the stars, celestial bodies, and planets and how they influence your life. By examining your zodiac, or the wheel representing the placements of the planets and stars at the time of your birth, astrologers can explore the relative influence of these celestial bodies and observe the various dynamics at play within your natal chart. These details can illuminate behaviors, patterns, and potentials, as well as the light (strengths) and shadow (weaknesses) that manifest in an individual’s lifetime.

She, further, discusses the origin of Astrology, the different astrology systems, myths and misconceptions, the benefits of studying astrology, and many other aspects of astrology.

This book is a must have for anyone needing to augment their knowledge of Astrology or a great resource for a beginner. It has a vast amount of information on birth charts, the twelve houses, and your sun signs.

I really enjoyed this book, it is so much more than just knowing the zodiac signs and along with a thorough introduction into what exactly astrology is, it also teaches you how to interpret your personal birth chart which can help guide you for better self-care routines, better relationship care, and even your career success. Very entertaining and informative.

This is a well and a very in-depth written book that really provides a lot of information on astrology.
Don't expect your usual 12 zodiacs, it goes further than that. It has so much information that I don't think its just for beginners, this is a good book for the intermediate reader to and dare I say even for an expert to read back on things when the mind gets a little hazy, as it does sometimes.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the colours used through the book, they make the book look outdated.

Astrology for Beginners by April Pfender is stunning! Absolutely comprehensive and it feels not for beginners because it has so much in it. This book is a gem. I will be buying this and using it as a reference book over and over.

This book is a labor of love and it shows. I will be adding more to my review as I use it more after I buy it. I HIGHLY recommend this fabulous book.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher, Callisto Media for the opportunity to read and review this glorious book.

This is a well written book that really provides a lot of information on astrology - not just the 12 signs of the zodiac. It’s a great book for beginners who are interested in more detailed aspects .

Although the book breaks things down very well and I am interested in astrology, I could not understand many things in this book.

I don't think this is the author's fault though, just my brain's inability to process. The book is well written and I'm sure a great tool for the majority of people

Incredibly informative. The craft is easily explained without being overwhelming or coming off in a "preachy" manner. I'm definitely using this as a reference moving forward.
