First came #TheArrangement
then came
#TheAmendment
then came
#TheAtonement
this was a trilogy that I didnt know would be a trilogy by the amazing @kierstenmodglinauthor !!! When I listened to the first one few years back I had thought it was going to be just a story about an open marriage gone wrong.
Oh boy, did things go wrong. And the things this woman found out about her husband are things that would (you'd think) make a wife run farrr farrrrr away. But then comes #TheAmendment and things go even more sideways than Id ever have thought. I mean, what's better than an unreliable narrator? You might've guessed already if you've read these: TWO unreliable narrators. Not because they are drunks or got hit on the head (or did they?) but because they both seem more than a little insane. Yet mostly you see this because you are watching the he said- she said and drawing conclusions, otherwise; you might believe each POV if read soley on their own! In the Atonement, which is a hell of a title for what happens, its never more hazy to me of who is the truly delusional one. I'm still left feeling uneasy after the conclusion. It would be an excellent exercise to read one POV all the way through (husband) then read wife's all the way thru all three books and then compare again!!! For me, with just the audiobooks and no time to do a full-length study like this; impossible, but very very tempting!
This trilogy goes places. It makes you second guess the truth. It will shock you. And just sayinnnnng, the #audiobook of these are amaaaazing!!!!
Many many thanks to @dreamscape_media for allowing early audio listening of these via @Netgalley. These POVs really elevate the story and the punch of it. Definitely recommend & am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!!

The Atonement by Kiersten Modglin was book 3 of this cleverly written crazy and very entertaining story! KM, you’ve done it again. It was a 5 ⭐️. I already knew I would be glued to this and it took so many twists and turns. If I had to describe this with just one word it would be shocking! I love watching this couple and couldn’t believe how it was unfolding. I kept thinking “how does KM keep coming with such creepy twisted dialogue?”
Book one was my first experience with KM and I’ve read 5 of her novels. I chose to listen to this book on audio and I highly recommend listening to all of them. The narraters were George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen. Both were awesome and I could listen to them all day. This isn’t a stand-alone. You’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t start with book 1.
Thanks Dreamscape Media via Netgalley.

Given the events of the first two novels, this one was a cat and mouse game between Ainsley and Peter. Overall, it was a fun conclusion to The Arrangement trilogy. Despite the MCs being bonkers and toxic AF to one another I will miss those crazy peeps. Highly recommend checking out the entire series as audiobooks. You must read them sequentially. Sarah Mollo-Christensen and George Newbern do an amazing job bringing the characters to life. I totally support George narrating all of the crazy/snarky dudes in books from now on.

Kiersten Modglin has a fan in me and I will continue to read whatever she puts out and have my fingers crossed that George Newbern narrates for her again.

Special thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for providing me with an ALC for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Going into this I did not know this was part of a series, but the book was fascinating on its own. Peter and Ainsley are MESSED up and I was on edge throughout. The book was gripping and I could not figure out which of them was really the “guilty/bad one”. They are both nuts!

Another excellent read by KMod! I cannot get enough of her books. And this was the perfect ending to Ainsley and Peter. Equal parts terrifying and infuriating, I loved every minute of it. And the narration was spot on!

4/5 Stars!

I thoroughly enjoyed the third installment of Kiersten Modglin's Arrangement trilogy. This book is the conclusion of Ainsley and Peter's tumultuous, murderous relationship story. This is not a standalone book, you must read the first two to understand the characters and the story.

That said, this book is a satisfying ending to the story, which began with The Arrangement. I loved the Arrangement, although the second book, the Amendment, sort of fell off the rails for me. However, the Atonement was more in tune with the first book and I am very glad I read it.

I listened to the book on audio, and it was the same narrators as the first two books. They really do a good job with the characters. Without giving away too many of the twists and turns, this book brings back some of our favorite characters and like before, is chock full of surprises.

I really appreciated Modglin's references to the earlier books and she tied up the storylines well. Overall, this was a fast-paced, entertaining read, and if you have read the first two you MUST pick this one up.

Special thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this advance reader copy. The Atonement is available in print and audiobook!

This final chapter of Peter and Ainsley's insane marriage was such a wild ride! I wasn't sure I wanted to read it, because I didn't think Book 3 could continue to surprise me like the first two did.

I was wrong.

The Atonement was delicious, an epic of revenge so surprisingly sweet I couldn't put it down. I loved the ramp up, I loved the struggle, and OH YES I loved the ending.

Kiersten Modglin is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

The Agreement didn’t work. The Amendment made things even worse. Ainsley and Peter Greenburg appeared to have a common goal in the very beginning. They both wanted to save their marriage. To give it back the spark that it once had. To make their family a happy unit.

Now that all the secrets have been exposed, Ainsley finds that she has set an irreversible course in motion, leaving her in fear of Peter. This is going to be a case of who wins as there can only be one winner. As the second book in the series left with a cliffhanger, The Atonement starts off with a bang. In fact, it also ends with a bang! This is an incredible game of cat and mouse, delivered to the reader in a dual point of view fashion from both Ainsley and Peter’s perspectives. Chilling and exciting all at the same time.

This is definitely a series that has to be read in order. In fact, I was able to listen to all three books in this series, The Arrangement, The Amendment and The Atonement, as audiobooks with excellent dual narration. That made each of these books that much more intriguing. I listened to these books with bated breath as it was more than evident that things would eventually come to a head. I love it when you think you have figured out a book especially as you get very close to the end. Then you find a humdinger of an ending. And that’s exactly what happens with this third book and one of the best trilogies I have had the pleasure of reading.

Many thanks to Kiersten Modglin and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

3.5⭐ rounded up for the audiobook.

The conclusion to The Arrangement trilogy ~ definitely read this series in order. I, also, suggest to not wait too long in between reading each one since there isn't a recap and the next book picks up just where the last left off.

Told in dual POV 1st person ~ Ainsley and Peter are playing cat and mouse and are out for each other. Who is the smarter one and who will come out on top at the end? You won't have to wait too long to find out since this is a quick read. A solid read that all wrapped up just as I figured it would.

Side note ~ I was not feeling Ainsley's mother at all in this installment ~ why does she think she knows what's best in someone else's marriage?

Narrated perfectly by George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen for 6 hours and 17 minutes, easy to follow at 2x.

Ainsley and Peter square off in this one. And if you’ve read the other two, you know they are both pretty feisty. It has some twists and turns for sure. Who’s for or against each of them? Matt? Ainsley’s mom? Their son?

A pretty solid ending to the trilogy. 4 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy.

This was the perfect ending to The Arrangement Series.

Peter and Ainsley have one of the most messed up relationships I believe I have ever read. In the last book we watched them try to repair their relationship, twisted as it is. I feel they are like magnets drawn to each other.

Will Ainsley give in to Peter's pleas and return to the marriage? Or has she finally had enough? What lengths will she go to to break free? This book is one wild ride!

Such a unique story with some seriously twisted characters that, strangely, I'm going to miss.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an advance audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

***4.5 Stars On My Instagram Account***

The Atonement by thriller favorite Kiersten Modglin is the third and final book of the Arrangement series and will keep you on edge just like the previous two outrageous novels.

Perfect narrators Sarah Mollo Christensen George Newbern are back to finish their dynamic chemistry as Ainsley and Peter who sacrificed their souls to keep their marriage in The Arrangement, tried redemption through deadly marriage counseling and now, finally, The Atonement is here but maybe not for this killer couple. This trilogy was shocking, hilarious and absolutely brilliant!

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #netgalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

This is the final book in the Arrangement series. Peter and Ainsley have been trying everything they can think of to save their marriage. Is there marriage even worth saving? Ainsley and Peter will not walk away without a final showdown.

I love Kiersten Modglin as an author. She writes very twisty thrillers with completely unpredictable endings. This was not her typical writing style. The Atonement wasn’t much of a thriller in my opinion. It was basically just Ainsley and Peter going back and forth trying to outsmart each other. Unfortunately, I also saw the ending coming too. I’m a little disappointed in this conclusion to the Arrangement series. I rate it 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

The Atonement

Kiersten Modglin

3.5 🌟

What I loved:

-- Easy-to-follow book despite my not having read the first two books in "The Arrangement" series re Ainsley and Peter Greenburg

-- Narrators George Newbern, Sarah Mollo-Christensen

-- Super-short, twisty and fast-paced at just over 6 hours

What I didn't love:

-- Super angsty, manipulative characters.

-- Major codependency relationship issues and I wanted to strangle Ainsley for putting up with this jerk.

-- Some of the plot is not super believable.

Thanks to Dreamscape Media for the advanced listener copy of this thriller.

Okay here we are! The third book!
I got this book as a ARC audiobook. But I started it and was very confused. So I looked it up and saw that it was the 3rd in a series. So I went back to read those first so that I could give myself some much-needed context. You *can* read this as a stand alone. But it's so much better with the context of the first 2 books.

As far as this book. I think this was my favorite book of the 3. There were so many things wrong, so many twists. I have SO MUCH TO SAY! But I want to talk about everything. But most of it is spoilers.

There has to be more. KIERSTEN! THERE HAS TO BE MORE!!! I have questions!!!

This book is SO good! But it's one of those book where all the 'talking points' are also spoilers. So It's hard to review. But if you're into serial killers, if you're into somewhat taboo topics, if you're into those things but not into the gore, This book is for you. This series has a bit of gore, but not a lot. There is blood, bruises, and bodies, but the 'details' are skirted. But there's also a protagonist that isn't exactly 'likeable'. There are A LOT of questionable choices and decisions. I spent a lot of time yelling at these characters (and some time cursing the author, sorry). But all of that makes for an incredible story! I really enjoyed these 3 books!!

Thank you to Netgalley & Dreamscape media for this ARC Audiobook
Thank you to Kiersten Modglin for this Wild rollercoster of a series
Thank you to George Newbern & Sarah Mollo-Christensen for narrating these 3 books. I'm sorry if you could feel me yelling at you. I apologize!

Catch up with Ainsley and Peter in The Atonement. In the third book in the series, Ainsley leaves Peter and takes the children in attempts to protect them from the horrific truth about their father. In this cat and mouse thriller, twists and turns are aplenty. The reader is kept guessing until the very end.

Definitely a binge worthy series. I didn't realize this was #3 so I had to go grab #2, The Amendment, to catch up. So, I pretty much listened to 2 and 3 back to back. It is a compulsive series and a crazy ride. Kiersten has got to be watching tons of the ID channel because some of this is nuts! I enjoyed the narration. The books just got better and I definitely recommend the series. This one definitely had a little more meat to it.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars. I received this 3rd installment of the arrangement series having never read any of them. The sequels are not nearly as good as the first, but I liked this one better than the 2nd! It's hard to write a review without spoiling the other 2, so Im going to mark this whole thing as spoilers. In the first book, a couple named Peter and Ainsley decide to spice things up by having no strings attached hook ups with other people. Long story short, in the end we find out that he's a serial killer. So in book #2, they decide to switch the goal and instead of sleeping with other people, they'll kill people together. At the end of that book, Ainsley tried to kill Peter but he escaped. So then this book is a cat and mouse game of the couple trying to kill each other, despite the fact that Peter really wants to get back together. I was rooting for Ainsley the whole time and really wanted her to outsmart him. Thankfully, in the end she did. Both of them made a lot of stupid moves and it wasn't the most memorable book but I liked it well enough!

Well this was one heck of a conclusion to a crazy trilogy!

When I first requested this from NetGalley, I was looking for an audiobook to hold me over for awhile. I did not realize this was part of a series until I started it. So I went to my library app(s) and thanks to Libby, Hoopla and NetGalley, I’ve now devoured this entire series in a day!

These are short books and they are action packed. There are twists and turns and many of them I’d call unpredictable. This is a great trilogy for anyone looking for a suspenseful domestic thriller.

This couple is an absolute freaking mess and I am here for it. The drama, the weird random bits of the relationship train wreck that is Ainsley and Peter. This entire trilogy is absolutely worth the read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We pick up right where book two ended so I recommend reading this series in order. Things got really crazy in this book. I felt like Peter changed a lot from his character in books one and two, and the tone of this book was a bit different than the others. It was interesting how it came together, and I totally loved the ending.

I listened to the audiobook and thought narrators George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen were perfect as Peter and Ainsley. They really brought these characters to life.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced listener’s copy in exchange for my honest review.
