This was an excellent conclusion to the saga of Ainsley and Peter. I was surprised in places I didn't expect to be and was very pleased with the resolution, as it left nothing untethered. Modglin is one of my favorite authors and this was no exception.

Such a great end to such a great thriller trilogy! The narration was great. This might be the most twisted, messed up story of psychopaths but it was so good!!

Thank you Dreamscape, Kiersten Modglin, and Netgalley for this audio in exchange for an honest review. This is the conclusion to The Arrangement Trilogy. Same narrators for all three books, which is awesome since they do an awesome job of narrating. I would have to say that this book seemed rushed and some things that happened just didn’t seem plausible in the slightest. I definitely liked the first in the series the best, and The Amendment was pretty good as well. The Atonement was ok. 🌟🌟🌟 rating from me.

Title of Audiobook: The Atonement
Series: The Arrangement #3
Author: Kiersten Modglin
Audiobook Narrators: George Newbern. Sarah Mollo-Christensen
Publisher: Dreamscape Media
Genre: Mystery Thriller
Audiobook Pub Date: September 6, 2022
Rating: 3 Stars

This is my sixth novel by author, Kiersten Modglin; she became my fav author back in June 2021 when I read " Just Married'. Now I am a big fan!

This is the third in the series and since I didn’t love these nasty characters in the other two books, I wasn’t interested in Book #3. But ratings from readers I trust plus author, Kiersten Modglin usually does not disappoint ~ I decided to give this nasty evil pair another chance.
Have to admit if "The Amendment" Book #2 had been my first KM novel; I may have given up early. However, true to KM’s twists, the ending was a surprise.

In this story, we once again hear the dual POV of Peter and Ainsley Greenberg as they try to outsmart one other.
I enjoyed the wicked Peter’s chapters! Audiobook narrator George Newbern does a fantastic job in performing Peter's character.
Ainsley was so unhinged in this story. In the other books she seemed just as guilty as Peter.
I did ‘get’ that she is trying to save her children as well as herself. But she sure made some strange decisions.

Although I was disappointed that this didn’t live up to all the hype. . ...I will definitely read another Kiersten Modglin novel.

Want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape for this audio eGalley.

I tried to read all 3 books in this series and I have to say they all are so twisty. I am really not a fan of the topic, per se, but this relationship is dark and twisted. If you are a fan of crazy dark stories, this one if for you.

I want to thank @netgalley and @kierstenmodglinauthor for the advanced audiobook of The Amendment in exchange for an honest review. This was a great wrap up to the series. I listened to all three books on audio. I#the narrators are fantastic. I liked how there was a male narrator for Peter and a female narrator for Ainsley. Their voices captured the personality of both characters well. This is a cat and mouse ending to the series where you are on the edge of your seat wondering who will come out on top. My only criticism is that one of the characters that is involved, the motivation for their actions wasn’t clearly defined. I definitely plan on reading more books by this author.

I have read my fair share of K-Mod books, all of them have been 2-3 stars (Yes I know I need some serious therapy because I keep going back hoping I will one day give her a 4-5 star) I read the Arrangement (#1) and it was clearly the best in this trilogy (By no means a good book, but definatly the best in this series) It was somewhat reasonable, had a decent plot and so many twist.
The second book, was predictable and kinda just shock after shock. It got stupid.

So when I saw the third one was coming out I was almost kind of disappointed, because I knew I was going to have to read it, but I really just wanted Peter and Ansley to ride off into the sunset and be done with them.

But nope, K Mod wrote a third (a little too quickly) I think she would have been better off taking more time and releasing this one next year. too much of a good thing (though it was not a good thing to start with)
The whole book is who can out do who. And how many lives does Peter have.....I mean like is he a cat? That man should be dead by now.
It honestly became too confusing, too many plot twist, surprises, people changing sides. My head hurt.
It got really bad the last hour or so, Ansley claims to be pregnant and Peter all the sudden goes soft---what?? So dumb.

So yes I know I am critical of K Mod books, but this one was actually boring. Not shocking, because every page was a twist or someone was changing sides.....too confusing. And not confusing like a piece of literature, confusing like something so dumb it doesn't make sense like Billy Madison's speech (lol!)

OMGGGGG WHAT THE WHAT?! I love this series and everyone gets better than the next! It ended perfectly and I’m so happy I read it. I recommend these to everyone so if you like a twisty psycho thriller then this one is for you

This is the final book wrapping up my favorite deranged couple’s story. I’m going to skip a synopsis on this one because of spoilers rom the first two books. I will just say that it follows The Arrangement and the Amendment in an epic finale closing out Peter and Ainsley’s story.

In typical Kiersten Modglin fashion, this one is full of twists. This was more of a cat-and-mouse game, with the characters working to outsmart the other. I was outsmarted a few times and like usual, I didn’t see most of these twists coming. I’m glad the story got some closure and I’m satisfied with the ending.

I listened to this one as an audiobook and I definitely recommend this format! Both characters get their own narrator, with each one as good as the last. Both of their voices were clear and full of emotion, and they both did all the voices well. A narrator can make or break a book and this narrator duo added a lot to the tension and emotion of this one.

It is absolutely necessary to read The Arrangement and The Amendment before reading this one, but they are so worth it! They are all shorter and fast-paced, and you will absolutely fly through them. Kiersten Modglin is a force to be reckoned with and is one of the best thriller writers out there in my opinion.

Thank you so much to @netgalley @kierstenmodglinauthor and @dreamscape_media for the ALC in exchange for an honest review!

This is a review of the advanced listening copy of the book.

It tells a tale of Ainsley, a mother of three, on the run from her serial killer husband, Peter. The plot is fast-paced and the narrators do a great job.

As the story unravels, you learn that Ainsley is not so innocent after all and that there are more shades than black and white.

This is the final part of a trilogy. Reading "The Arrangement" and "The Amendment" prior to this might provide more continuity.

Binge worthy series!

...and why not? All three books are relatively short and suspenseful. Once I start one, I just have to finish it to find out the ending. I rarely finish a book in one sitting but I did with these.

Ainsley and Peter are a whacky couple who try to save their marriage in the most bizarre ways. We hear the story from both sides with alternating POVs. I enjoy the audiobook performed by George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen. They narrated all three books and are fantastic.

This is not the kind of book that I want to write a plot summary because the shocking revelation is part of the fun. A bitter-sweet feeling that it has come to its finale. 3.5⭐

Quote: “…and when she was ready I’d bring her home with or without the use of rope.”

“The Greenburgs are back for one final showdown.”

Ainsley is on the run with Peter on hot her trail. The (end?) to this series is a game of cat and mouse that had be stressed until the very end.

Anyone else like Peter??? Lol. Just me? 😂🤣
I was a bit confused by his portion of the book initially…. I couldn’t tell if he just wanted to catch and “handle” Ainsley like all of the other women, or if he wanted to work it out with Ainsley. It weighed heavily on me as the book progressed…I was like what the heck is going on.

The audio narrators for Ainsley and Peter were perfection. So kudos to K Mod for picking awesome narrators.

Ainsley’s character annoyed me. I wanted to like her, being the strong female lead and all, but I just kept wanting her and Peter to come together and continue their dysfunctional life together.

I enjoyed the wild ride between these 2 demented individuals even if I didn’t get what I wanted in the end. I was left feeling exhausted. I can’t wait to read more of Kiersten’s work.

Kiersten Modglin knows how to make you both, love and hate a character. Loved this one—strong female who was smart as hell. Went back and listened to the other two books and they flowed seamlessly. Narrator was excellent!

A satisfying wrap up to this trilogy!
The third part to The Arrangement series, this really can't be read as a stand alone, so be sure to read the first two books prior to this one.
This book picks up right where The Amendment left off. Peter and Ainsley's showdown continues, and the twists and turns and changing of the upper hand is constant. Who will come out on top in the end?
As in the previous books, there are a couple of moments where you have to suspend some reality and ignore the occasional plot hole. This series is meant to be a fast easy read without a ton of character development, but it does deliver what it means to. I was certainly satisfied with the conclusion!

Welcome to the third and final installment of the Arrangement series. I was eager to find out how Kiersten Modglin would wrap up Ainsley and Peter’s twisted, complicated marriage.

I was somewhat disappointed that this book didn’t have any crazy twists, unlike the first two books in the series. There wasn’t much to the plot of this one: just a power struggle between Peter and Ainsley as the reader waits to see who will come out on top. I think the series could have ended after The Amendment.

Anyone who has read the first two books will definitely want to read this one to see how things end for Ainsley and Peter. It wasn’t a terrible listen, it just wasn’t quite as exciting as the first two. Luckily, in typical KM fashion, it’s an incredibly quick listen, so you don’t end it feeling like your time was wasted. Any longer and I would have been irked!

Juicy and fun, just like the previous two installments! First of all, don't read this first. You must first read The Arrangement, the first book in the trilogy. I guarantee that book will make you addicted to love (or hate, or whatever it is this crazy couple has for eachother).

There's not a lot I can say about the plot of this series without spoiling the fun. So let me just say that this extremely unique couple starts out (in book one) trying to spice up their marriage by seeing other people, and then both parties find out way more craziness about eachother than they bargain for. Murder, mystery, and mayhem ensues and continues through this extremely juicy third installment. This is one of the most fun domestic suspense series I have read in some time, and it doesn't lose any steam by the end. Narration is the same as the first two and the acting is devious and fun. My highest recommendation! Just make sure not to miss book one - it's a classic and sets up all the action for the next two. Sorry not to give any details...but...if you read book one, you'll find out why I can't ruin the best twist.

Many thanks to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for this fun and highly anticipated third book in the series!

First, the different narrator's really brought the story alive.

Secondly, this was a great finale to the trilogy! Things really got wild in the 2nd book but this book was able to bring a completion to the story. It was fast paced but the chronology was easy to follow.

The third and final installment of Peter and Ainsley Greenburg’s horrendous marriage does not disappoint. I have been a huge fan of this series since the beginning and raced through this audiobook! I love the characters and the crazy dynamic between them. The narrators were awesome. I couldn’t get enough. I’m sad it’s over.

What started off as an attempt to save their marriage now has Ainsley and Peter stuck in a dangerous game with each other.

Ainsley is determined to finish what she started as Peter gets closer and closer. There’s more secrets and more drama.one With everything on the line will Ainsley make the tough decisions she needs to in order to get her life back?

If you haven’t read it you need to!

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this arc in exchange for my honest review.

4.5/5 stars

Thank you Dreamscape Media for the advanced listening copy for review!

A fittingly wild conclusion to an insane trilogy! Kiersten Modglin writes the most unpredictable twists ever. The last 1/2 of this book I was just like "what?! What!! WHAT?!?!" over and over! If you haven't dove into the world of Peter and Ainsley yet, back it up and pick up THE ARRANGEMENT. Trust me, you won't want to know anything ahead of time. Go in blind!

SYNOPSIS: After THE ARRANGEMENT to fix their marriage didn't work, Peter and Ainsley were left picking up the wildly broken pieces in THE AMENDMENT. Now, in THE ATONEMENT, Ainsley is left to cope with her latest attempt to fix her marriage, one that left her in even more danger. As Peter and Ainsley play cat and mouse, Ainsley is left to decide who she can trust, and whether or not she can even trust herself.

This was the best resolution for the series that I could have hoped for. I am truly shocked at the twisted webs that KMod weaves. Throughout the series, I went back and forth between hating Peter, to hating Ainsley, to rooting for them, hating them both, and back all the way through. They are the most morally gray characters I could have ever hoped to root for, and perfectly executed in my opinion. I loved to hate both of them! I loved that the narrators were the same across all three audiobooks, and that the books themselves were pretty fast-paced and quick. I felt like I was watching a movie unfold! Truly a wild ride from start to finish.

Bonus: I loved the small connection to THE DREAM JOB by Kiersten Modglin towards the end of the book -- IYKYK (and if you don't, you should pick up THE DREAM JOB)!
