I really enjoyed the finale to Kiersten Modglin's Atonement trilogy. I was glad to see such a satisfying resolution to some very twisted situations. Kiersten Modglin is an excellent writer who is seriously underrated. If you've read the first two in the series you must read this to get the so wanted ending,

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to listed to this in exchange for my review.

Thank you to NetGalley + Dreamscape Media for the ALC in exchange for my honest review!

In the third and final installation in THE ARRANGEMENT series by Kiersten Modglin, this epic game of cat-and-mouse finally comes to its conclusion. Who will make it out of this marriage alive?

I was so excited to hear that we were getting a third book in this series, and THE ATONEMENT did not disappoint! If you are a fan of domestic thrillers, you need to read these books! Especially if you enjoy premises that are dark and twisty. THE ATONEMENT didn’t pack *quite* as big a punch as the first two in terms of twists, but that’s to be expected - the first two had such great cliffhanger endings, where this one needed to wrap everything up. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and I’m so sad it’s over!! If you were introduced to KMod through these books, check out THE REUNION.

Everyone’s favorite dysfunctional couple is back for more! Ainsley failed to kill Peter at the end of the previous book, so she’s running scared, trying to save herself and the children.
In typical Kiersten Modglin fashion, this book was full of many twists and turns as Ainsley and Peter duke it out until the end. As ever, the narration was perfectly cast!
*Thanks to the author, Dreamscape Media and Net Galley for the advance listener copy for review.

Great Narration
Fast Paced
So many twists your head will spin

Do not pick up this book unless you have cleared your schedule for a few hours! You won't be able to put it down.

The third and final book of The Arrangement series and of course, Ainsley and Peter are at it again. While the beginning started off a little slow paced, it soon picked up the pace. And didn't let off the gas. Kiersten Modglin is a master at keeping the twists coming and leaving the reader guessing until the end. Loved the cat and mouse game. I never knew which spouse was going to one up the other. A fitting ending to tie up the story. Finished this is one day. I didn't want to stop listening. The double narrators reading each character's point of view really helped with characterization and create original character voices.

Are you Team Ainsley or Team Peter?

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an opportunity to read and review honestly an audiobook copy.

I was dying to know what you come of Ainsley and Peter. The second book left us on a cliff hanger.

I really liked how this book wrapped up. This couple has been through it all and to finally see it all end was so satisfying.

I will never tire of Kiersten Modglin's twisty books.

Wow, what a way to end the best thriller series I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I was absolutely obsessed with the first two books. So much so that I finished them both in a day. When that happened, I knew I needed a conclusion to the story and I immediately messaged Kiersten Modglin on Instagram and begged her to write a 3rd book. I have a feeling I wasn't the only one, because she replied that although she currently had no plans for a third book, if she was able to come up with a good story she'd be thrilled to write about this chaotic couple again. That was back in February of 2022. It is now 6 months later and I'm already finished with the 3rd book's ARC. I like to think I helped bring this fantastic conclusion into existence. In Ainsley & Peter's final game of cat and mouse, its unclear until the very end who will win this game and whether they will finally end this game together or separately. This was full of twists and turns and I really couldn't trust any of the characters because it felt like every single one had an ulterior motive. I was thrilled with the epilogue and actually very surprised with how things turned out. This was a very quick listen and I do wish it was a bit longer because I wasn't ready to let go of these characters, but I am just so grateful we got a conclusion. I really hope the author comes up with another series that will grip me as much as this one did. Thank you Peter & Ainsley for giving us a wild ride to follow. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and Kiersten for this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This is the third book in Modglin’s trilogy, and husband and wife Peter and Ainsley Greenburg are back. While the first novel dealt with the couple’s bizarre attempt to save their failing marriage, the second was based on how to fix what they had screwed up in the first, and the final novel is a gloves off battle. No longer interested in saving their marriage, it’s now a question of which one of them will survive. Readers will need to read or listen to the first two books to really understand what’s going on in this twisted thriller

The Atonement picks up right where book 2 ends. I couldn't wait to see how this game of cat and mouse between Ainsley and Peter ended. I found myself not really being "hooked" with book 3, but I had to finish to know how it ended.

I feel like Peter's personality changed in this book. I'm not sure if everything intensified his personality or not but this book just didn't feel like Peter to me. I feel like some of the twists were a bit out there. The narrators did a fantastic job! I really liked listening to them.

Overall, I'm glad I read the book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Ainsley wants a new life with her kids and freedom from her husband. Peter is determined not to lose his family. Can Peter convince Ainsley to start over?

How does Kiersten Modglin come up with these stories?!?! The Atonement is a crazy, wild roller coaster ride!!! Will you need to suspend disbelief to enjoy this epic battle of wills? Definitely. Will you be entertained? Without a doubt!

While it didn’t have the same “I can’t put this thriller book down” draw as the other books in the series, The Atonement finishes the series with a fitting, jaw-dropping conclusion. I won’t forget this book or series any time soon.

When I hear the voices of narrators George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen, I will always think of this series. These narrators embody gaslighting narcissist Peter and controlling fixer Ainsley perfectly. I waited until the audiobook was available because Newbern and Mollo-Christensen are part of what I love about this series. Their performances in The Atonement didn’t disappoint!

I received an early listening copy from Dreamscape Media. All thoughts and opinions in this voluntary review are my own.

Ainsley and Peter are back , for part three, with more of the same antics. You know, the normal stuff that happens when you find out your husband survived your muder attempt, and, now that he's alive, you just know he is going to come after you, of course! So, who will come out on top, one step ahead of the other? If you liked parts one and two for the fun they were, I would think you will also enjoy part three. I would suggest reading all three together though because this one starts off right where the second in the series left off. If you're like me, you read it quite a while ago and the ending of part two is quite foggy.

This is the third book in Modglin’s Arrangement series. Peter and Ainsley are back and crazier than ever! For me, nothing will ever top the mind blowing first book, but this was an entertaining listen. I was eager to see how everything wraps up with Peter and Ainsley.

I highly recommend the audio versions of these books since the narrators do a great job. I think I may permanently recognize Peter and Ainsley’s voices- let’s just hope I don’t ever hear these two crazy nut jobs in real life. 😂

Listen to this if you like super twisted mind blowing domestic thrillers

What Colleen Hoover is to romance, Kiersten Modglin is to suspense and thrillers. She has impeccable timing and I know I’m in for a ride whenever I pick up a KMod book, and ‘The Atonement’ is no exception. So much fun!

I really enjoyed listening to the narrators. George Newbern is perfect as Peter, just your average everyday dad with a pesky unfortunate hobby. No worries 😉

As for the story, I loved watching Peter and Ainsley battle it out, their dynamic is pure fire, they know each other so well it’s only when the other barely stumbles that the other catches a break in their game of tug-of-war.

But that “tug-of-war” is a reason for my rating. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed ‘The Atonement’ the narrators were engaging and I couldn’t put it down, but it was less of a suspense/ thriller like the first two books when we learn of Peter’s secret and the things Ainsley does in retaliation, and more of “cat-and-mouse/ how can I put smart you” kind of scenario, which can get tiring.

Overall, it was a good solid ending to the Greenbergs and I’m glad I got to read it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kiersten Modglin for this audio-arc in exchange for my honest feedback and review.

My jaw hit the floor!! The first two books in this series, The Arrangement, The Amendment, did not disappoint in shocks. The third and final book The Atonement left me staring into space thinking about this series for a good 30 mins. I devoured this book!! Ainsley and Peter's marriage has not been easy but now that Ainsley is determined to free herself from Peter things take a deadly turn. Any fans of thrillers, mysteries, crazy love stories, insane romance need to check this series out!! Kiersten Modglin will have you on the edge of your seat!!

Thriller/Suspense isn't my normal go-to genre but Kiersten Modglin knows how to write a book/series that will grab you and not let go. I love the conclusion to this trilogy, it didn't disappoint. I'm not sure I've read any book with a more toxic relationship and I was here for every twist and turn. I highly recommend this trilogy.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this audiobook!

I loved this series! Kiersten Modglin is so great at writing twisty, fast-paced thrillers that keep me hooked from page one. This book didn’t have many twists and turns like the previous in this series but wrapped up the story so perfectly. I couldn’t really guess how this series would end because I wasn’t sure what would make for a good ending but Modglin nailed it! I recommend this series for everyone.

Specific to the audiobook- the female narrator is great at switching pitch and intonation to differentiate between the characters speaking. The male was okay, I always find male voices a bit whiny when they try to portray women.

Farewell to my favorite deliciously evil book couple. I got the Kindle version of this frightening finale when it was released but I was waiting until I could get my hands on the audio. The narrators are part of this story for me. They really bring it to life.

This series was fabulous. I usually only read standalone novels but when I finished the first, I couldn’t wait for more! I think the whole series needs a better blurb/summary to reach a bigger audience. I almost skipped it because I thought it was about wife swapping or weird sex stuff. If not for my Goodreads friends steering me in its direction, I would have missed out! Now I get text alerts for Modglin’s releases so never pass up a good recommendation!

This picks up where The Amendment leaves off. Ainsley has realized she isn’t rid of Peter yet. She packs the kids up and is on the lam but of course makes the brilliant decision to stop by her narcissistic mom’s house and by her bank to withdraw funds. Rookie mistake.

Peter has his own plans for them. They’re going to fix things whether Ainsley wants to or not! He’s become dull and listless in her absence and has lost interest in his nefarious hobbies so he’s dedicating all of his time to winning her back at any cost. Ainsley wants to set a good example by leaving a toxic relationship, forgetting she has a few skeletons in her own closet.

We are used to seeing Ainsley pretty much in control but this time, when the stakes are highest, Peter seems to be a step ahead of her at every turn. Will she be able to resist his allure or can she rebuild her life anew? And if she does.. what will Peter do?!

It has been an absolute pleasure following this devious couple as they try to save their marriage. Just when you think it’s over, Modglin proves she has a few tricks left for this couple and Peter and Ainsley are riding it until the wheels fall off.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen and review!

I enjoy KMod's books, but this one was just an okay read/listen for me. The twists were twisty, like normal, but I just think it was the last half of the book that wasn't doing it for me. I wasn't a fan of the ending but I am not gonna hate on this series because of it.
