I was happy to continue the Laurel Snow series. The series is best read in order because of the career and personal developments. I like Laurel and she works so hard. The romance isn't settled but she and Huck are definitely interested in each other. Sadly, her half sister Abigail is doing everything she can to butt into Laurel's life.

A new serial killer is on the scene for You Can Hide. There are too many suspects and the team of Huck and Laurel struggle to narrow it down, but more women are dying. The local sheriff continues to be a dick, hence the federal task force. Then the annoyance of an old flame of Huck's, who is a reporter, only makes things worse.

Laurel started her team with Walter from another office, and Kate, a single mom, in the previous book. Now she gets Nester who is a computer whiz and new agent. Her team continues to grow and she considers now whether she wants to make this town her office going forward. Her mother is here and she likes her team.

While the collection of evidence and narrowing of suspects continues, not only are women dying, but the team is suffering injuries. Laurel takes this hard but Huck supports her emotionally.

The women dying are all professionals with doctorates, who are divorced. It is sad to see this happen. Our point of view is primarily Laurel, but we get a bit of the killer. The killer is a shocking twist and I didn't figure it out, but that's normal. I do enjoy the smart police work and the mystery as they work the case. I will be happy to read more because there is more to develop with her team and personal relationships.

Another exciting, adventure filled book in this series. I love the characters and intrigue and can't wait to see what happens next.

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is the 2nd book in the Laurel Snow series. Laurel Snow is a unique character in the thriller, romance genre. She is a brilliant FBI agent who has a problem with emotions. She can be a mystery to Huck Rivers, a Fish and Wildlife Officer and her occasional professional partner. Their personnel relationship continues to slowly develop in this book.

I also love the side stories such as Laurel’s mother Deidre who has a herbal tea business. Then there is Laurel’s nonprofit knitting foundation that provides booties and hats to premature new borns. These add subtle contexts to the characters and help them to feel like “real” people and not just characters in a book.

The crime scenes are grotesque and add substance to the story. The serial killer is always one step ahead. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader glued to the book.

If you like well written, fast paced books with a murder mystery and a little romance, you are going to love You Can Hide. I highly recommend this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced readers copy.

A great romantic suspense read! While this is book two, it can certainly be read as a stand alone in my opinion. Laurel Snow, an FBI Profiler is called to Washington State as they have a serial killer on the loose. She is joined by Wildlife Captain, Huck. I would say this is more FBI procedural and suspense more than romance, but it was an enjoyable read that will really grab the readers attention all the way to the end. I received an advanced copy and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

I love Laurel Snow! She is so cool under stress and I love all the twist and turns this story takes. First I feel you should read book 1 in the series. The story is a continuing mystery. Some things were figured out in the first book but more needed to be found. There is more suspense than romance but it was perfect for Laurel. This is a story about a serial killer and can be graphic.

In You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti, we are back in the rural Pacific Northwest with FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow as she investigates a serial killer along with Captain Huck Rivers of the Fish & Wildlife Unit. Suspense, a touch of romance and the quaint rural area will have you curling up by the fire as you devour their story.

In the previous novel, You Can Run, special FBI agent Laurel Snow returned home and set up a temporary field office to catch a serial killer. She hasn’t packed up yet when the body of a young woman is discovered. She is partially dismembered and flowers are scattered near the scene. So much violence. Snow and Rivers are soon on the case, and her temporary office is looking more permanent.

First, I love Laurel Snow. My guess is she is on the spectrum. She isn’t good with people, but has an incredible mind. For example, if you ask her, she can tell you how many people she saw wearing hats in the past week and how many of those were red. She is methodical and tenacious when catching a killer.

She is slowly building a team and working alongside Rivers, who some might call a hermit. He lives alone and prefers the company of his dog. However, Snow gets under his skin. The two had a one-night stand that ended awkwardly and I loved seeing them address it. We see some development in their relationship and I am enjoying the slow burn, banter, and growth.

The murder-mystery was intense with plenty of suspects and victims. It kept me guessing, felt grounded and had moments of intensity that will get your heart pumping. Fans of suspenseful FBI thrillers with a side of romance and small-town charm will find this series exciting.

The case is wrapped up, and we are left in a good place with our characters. I am looking forward to the next novel. While each book has its own case to solve, I recommend beginning with You Can Run.

I'm loving this series! Laurel Snow is back in her hometown again hunting for another serial killer. She has had to pair up again with Huck Rivers, a Fish and Wildlife captain with whom she worked with her on her last case in the area just a month before. Complicating things is that Laurel's newly discovered half-sister is a possible target for this serial killer.

This was an engaging and gripping mystery from start to finish. It starts off right away throwing you into the thick of the situation and moves quickly from there. Laurel is a fascinating character, with her inability to pick up on social cues and her taking things so literally, but seeing things most don't and her ability to profile. I was completely caught up in this story and didn't want to put this book down, and loved that it's not easy to solve the mystery. I can't wait for next one!

Winter in the northern Washington State area can be dismal. Added to that you have a psychopath running loose killing smart women. It takes a really smart woman to catch the killer and even she was surprised to find out who it turned out to be. Laurel Snow is smart, really smart, but she is nothing like her equally smart and very scary half-sister, Abigail. I've enjoyed this series, even though it skews more Suspense than Romance. The slow burn romance between Laurel and Huck Rivers is growing and building and these two are bringing out the best in each other as they work together to solve the case.

A serial killer is on the loose, again, in the Genisus Valley area of Washington State and FBI Agent Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Agent Huck Rivers are called to the scene of a dead, nude, frozen woman in a desolate area. The flowers left spread around her just add a creepy factor to the bizarre scene. Soon after this discovery, Laurel receives a call from her half-sister, Abigail Crane, that she is being threatened, flowers left on her frozen lawn. With the murder case just beginning, Laurel has no time for the machinations of her half-sister, but Abigail refuses to be ignored, and everywhere Laurel looks for the murderer, Abigail turns up as a link.

My thanks to Zebra, Publisher, and Rebecca Zanetti, Author, for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

An engaging protagonist in unusual and gifted profiler Laurel Snow.

In her first outing, Laurel was summoned back to her hometown to prevent her uncle from being arrested for murder. Laurel has a brilliant mind and is a gifted profiler, but she finds interacting with people to be a continual challenge. She is working to create a support team in the area while dealing with a possible budding relationship with a local law enforcement agent, a newly discovered and unsettling half sister, and now a second serial killer has emerged.

When her half-sister seems to be the only link between the victims, Laurel finds another case that is hitting much too close to home. Can she protect those she loves and identify this latest threat before the killer attacks her circle of family and friends?

As I did in the previous Laurel Snow novel, I enjoyed delving into the layers of Laurel herself as much as the mystery she was deciphering. Fans of Rebecca Zanetti, of profiler mysteries, and overall great romantic suspense reads will thoroughly enjoy You Can Hide. Thanks to @NetGalley for the advanced readers copy.

Phenomenal!

Laurel is quirky and endearing. Huck is the ultimate protector alpha.. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. Their continued story is amazingly written; action, drama, humor, twists! I couldn't put it down and can't wait to see what the dynamic duo does next.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

The second in the series about Laurel Snow, an FBI profiler with an unusual personality to go along with her high IQ, and we are dealing with her sociopathic half sister, and another serial killer. I read and reviewed the first book in this series which I loved, and am so happy that this series is continuing. This is a romantic suspense with the emphasis on suspense and a little on romance. I have to say I did not see the serial killer coming and I attribute that to the great writing by Ms.Zanetti. This book is a standalone but i really think you get more out of this if you have read the first book. Her relationship with Huck, the fish and wildlife captain, is continuing in this book and it feels like a natural progression considering the 2 characters involved. All in all, a great series, fabulous characters and I hope there will be more to this series

And I thought the first one was good…

Rebecca Zanetti FINALLY released the sequel to her serial killer thriller, You Can Run. I feel like I waited forever to read this installment. It was well worth the wait, but now I’m dying (no pun intended) to read the third.

SAC Laurel Snow is back from DC, and she almost immediately lands in the middle of another serial killer case. Once again, she has Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers by her side. Their respective skills make them a perfect detective pair, and their emotional quirks make them a perfect romantic match.

Their potential relationship is jeopardized when his ex returns. And she causes just as many problems for him personally as she does professionally. Her sleazy way of inserting herself into the investigation and manipulating the situation does nothing but damage. To all parties involved.

This serial killer is particularly violent. Easy to profile yet hard to find. Even with all of Laurel’s abilities, she struggles to connect the victims and find the common thread that points to the perpetrator. And, of course, her half-sister is caught up in all of it. Abigail is easily the most intriguing character in this series, sending sparks flying off the page anytime she’s in a scene.

There were almost as many suspects as there were characters. Every time I started thinking one person did it, three other people caught my attention. Zanetti did a fabulous job of laying out clues while keeping me guessing. The setting was, once again, visceral and raw… as much a character as any person was. And the return of peripheral characters (Deidre, Blake, Kate, Viv, Pedro, Walter, Monty, and especially Aeneas) was like visiting old friends, while introducing people like Nestor nicely added to the roster of people I can’t wait to see more of.

This is a standalone novel that could technically be read before book one, but readers would enjoy this story more reading them in order. The mystery is solved before the end, but in the denouement, there is a “cliffhanger” kind of thread that isn’t tied off, and it has me eagerly anticipating the next installment. Five easy stars from me.

Outstanding! Let me say right off the bat that I adore "odd ball" Laurel. She's brilliant and yes she's literal but she is also so authentic. And what's not to like about gruff Huck? He's starting to soften up a little bit but once again a person who is real to himself. And it's fun to watch how although he often has to ask if literal Laurel is messing with him, there also times that he "gets" her. Almost against his will he's liking her more and more. Same here and she made me smile a few times too. And I am hoping for the more for them as a couple.
Maybe in the next book? I say that because while this book twisted and turned me all over the place, there is at least one question left open at the end. I don't mind though because I really would like to continue in this series. It's kind of grabbed me and won't let go. Yes, even with the violent deaths that happened.
On a last note, there were some really good secondary people in the story that also kept me entertained and who like to read more with them included.

This is another story in the Laurel Snow series. I will say, this book begins unexpectedly for me,not where I thought some things would be. Great action and suspense. A bit more romance. Abigail is one great mystery. I do love the way Laurel’s mind works. Leaves a lot to think about in the end.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fast-paced and action packed. It held my interest and I wanted to find out what was going to happen. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book 2 in the Laurel Snow Thriller series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

You Can Hide is book two in Rebecca Zanetti’s Laurel Snow series and it hurts my heart to say that I did not enjoy this one. I am usually sucked into her books and since I did like the first one I am really bummed this one didn’t work for me.

Laurel Snow is back in Genesis Valley when a serial killer strikes, leaving his victims with no hands, beaten, frozen and surrounded by black dahlias. Laurel’s sister, Abigail appears to be a target so Laurel and hunky Fish and Wildlife Officer, Huck are trying to find the killer before he strikes again.

So what didn’t work for me. There was very little romance. I felt like the relationship between Huck and Laurel was there just because the author wanted to add some sex. I expect there to be more relationship, more passion and just more romance, These two just kept tiptoeing around each other. The plot line was very violent and twisty but the end seemed cobbled together. The entire book is leading up to Abigail either being a psycho or just misunderstood, which left me bored.

Thank you to the publisher (Kensington Books) and NetGalley for an E-ARC. All thoughts are my own. You Can Hid has a publish date of November 29, 2022.

Fascinating Serial Killer Romance!!

An intricate set of clues. Too many suspects. The second set of serial killings in a small town.
Laurel Snow of the FBI, and Captain Monty Buckley from the Wildlife Dept.

Laurel is wicked smart, but has a problem reading people. A disconcerting half-sister. Brilliantly crafted, emotional, completely riveting, and unlike anything I’ve read before - a stellar read! Definite movie material.

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

Brillant but socially awkward Laurel Snow is back with another case in her hometown, Genesis Valley. Is there another serial killer on the loose? Is her half-sister Abigail in danger or connected to this killer?

I really enjoyed the latest installment in this series, which has Laurel and Huck, the local Fish and Wildlife Captain, working together again to solve the murders. This dark, twisted killer is targeting local female doctors. Laurel and Huck must work through a long list of potential suspects to find a killer hiding in plain sight. Once again, Abigail can't automatically be ruled out as a suspect. Between the numerous suspects and many twists, I was guessing until the end to figure out who the killer was.

You Can Hide kept my attention from beginning to end with its fast pace, interesting side characters, and twists. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

I received an early copy of this book. All opinions in this voluntary review are my own.

I got the ARC from netgalley. I absolutely loved this book , the mystery and character development is so good. All the various relationships are interesting and am excited to see where the lead to.This book is packed with a ton of action and suspense . I loved the mystery that is going on in this book, and it kept me guessing. I am a fan of HEA in every book so I am hoping this will be a 3 part series and they will get together in the next one

Wowzer! This book grabbed my attention from page one all the way through the final page. It has nonstop action and a linear timeline that is easy to follow. The main characters have depth and are fully fleshed out. I especially loved Laurel, who is exceptionally intelligent and may even be somewhat autistic (my opinion only). Her social skills are stunted and this makes her more relatable to me.
Another plus for me is the higher quality language skills that this author uses and which I appreciated very much. Last but not least is the fact that this book is part of a series yet is a stand-alone novel (I know because I haven't read the previous story). For all these reasons, I rate this book as a strong 5-star novel.
