Rebecca Zanetti scores another hit book, You Can Hide. Laurel Snow is once again investigating a serial killer. What is the tie that binds the victims together? Why is her half-sister on the killers radar? Who has access to the black dahlias? All the questions are answered and the story is weaved to flow easily. The plot twists will keep you guessing about who the killer is.

Incredible. The absolute best suspense novel I’ve heard this year. The relationship between Laurel Snow and Captain Huck Rivers is incredibly endearing. The way they maneuver, work, and exist with each other is what makes this series phenomenal. Zanetti has crafted a new series and a group of characters that has staying power and drives this reader to want and know more. I feel like this series can be around for years to come. I am unsure of what Zanetti has planned for it but I really hope it becomes a staple in her yearly releases. What more can I say? I absolutely loved everything about it.

Laurel and Huck have already put one serial killer away can there truly be another in small town Genesis Valley.
When bodies start showing up with no hands it's a race against time before he strikes again. Along with a new killer Laurel must try and work around the sister she didn't know she had and whom she believes is pure evil. Huck just wants to go back to doing his job. He understands Laurel and even though she doesn't connect well with people Huck thinks she does just fine. They are both of the opinion a one and done is good for them both but is it. Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC book and to Ms. Zanetti for being a fabulous story teller.

This one was just ok for me. I LOVED the first one of these but this one was a little slower paced. The characters were still really well done but a bit predictable. The story ran a little on the slower side in this book but overall it was an ok read.
The development of the main two characters gives this one an extra boost.

Rebecca has a way of creating lead characters that are so different in each series, but each have personalities you just love.

Laurel Snow is a little different, she is has an incredible IQ, she advanced through school quicly and missed certain life lessons, normal social development many of us would have giving her a unique quirkiness which is endearing. Huck Rivers suffered PTSD and prefers to be isolated, however, the two just click and I enjoyed watching their friendship grow through this second book.

Add in a great mystery which includes Laurels twisted half sister, just how involved is she in the crimes that are occuring, what lenghts will she go to for attention from her sister??? You will have to read the book to find out, not giving any spoilers away here.

I hope there will be more books in this series.

What is going on here? This series gives me the same feel as the TV Series - Hannibal. Special Agent Laurel Snow is pulled back to her hometown as another possible serial killer is on the prowl. What are the odds of a small town having more than 1 serial killer? This adrenaline pumping suspense is complex with multiple plots going on at the same time. I love it.

For those who are squicked out by S.E.X and want the focus to be more on the mystery, this is a good book for you. There is a bit of a romance element between Laurel and Huck. The romance takes a back seat to Laurel trying to figure out why professional women are being targeted. Laurel's half-sister - Abigail is also targeted by the killer which causes Laurel to worry.

What I enjoyed about this story is that it kept me guessing, trying to figure out who did it and why. There are several nice red herrings placed to throw the reader off. I did have some suspicions about halfway through the story and I feel vindicated that my guesses were correct. There is master-level manipulation going on in this story and it is Machiavellian. High-functioning sociopaths are fascinating to me. There appear to be several in this book and some of them are even females which makes it that much more alluring for me.

As Laurel works through this case, she also learns more about Huck. This taciturn man is so stiff-upper-lip that I don't know if we will ever find out everything about his past. His trauma is deep and it is preventing him from functioning with the rest of the world. It does seem as if Laurel is the catalyst to bring him back to the living. It is still a bit iffy. Huck's steadfast need to keep everything bottled up makes it difficult for Laurel to understand him. She is on the spectrum so this makes for awkward interactions. I cringe as they try to work through miscommunications. Still, they do work well together when it is all about the case and crime. Intrapersonal. . . not so much.

This suspense is recommended to romance readers who like it a bit darker and gritty.

I received an arc of this book. My opinions are my own. I read the 1st book of this series, and it was excellent. This one was just as good. The blurb explains the story, so I won't go into it. I am blown away by Rebecca Zanetti's work. Every book is excellent. There is romance, nail-biting suspense, steam and action. I assume they will be another book, because I can't to see how the main character's relationship works out. The chemistry between them is very hot. I loved this book and think everyone else will too.

Welp, the wait for the next book is going to be brutal.
Between the slow burn between Laurel and Huck, the incredibly odd and fascinating relationship between Laurel and her stepsister Abigail and the story as it unfolds - I don't know where to look next.

Rebecca creates fabulous worlds that foster and build her characters to beautiful crescendos. They pull her readers in, make them practically beg and offer sacrifices for the next book to sooner.

Five stars. Every time.

I'm not a slow burn lover. I'm more of a instant gratification kinda girl, but I do love Rebecca's slowly building relationship between Laurel and Huck.

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is book two in her Laurel Snow series.

Laurel Snow is a genius, young FBI agent of striking appearance with a particular skill for finding serial killers. Which is good, because there’s a second serial killer loose in her hometown. She’s again working with the handsome Captain Huck Rivers, an officer, hunter, and tracker with Washington State Fish and Wildlife. Laurel and Huck can’t decide if they want a fling or a relationship.

Rebecca Zanetti continues her Laurel Snow series with the second successful thriller. The author has done a good job making this series installment read well as a standalone. We get more insight into this unique protagonist and her enigmatic love interest. Character development is again a favorite element. The plot is compelling with appropriate twists. The pace is a little slower this time around, so I dropped one star for pacing and rate You Can Hide 4 out of 5 stars. I still highly recommend it to all readers of romantic suspense novels.

My thanks to Kensington Books, Zebra, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for the ARC. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another winner from Rebecca Zanetti. I love her writing and have read everything of hers except the Dark Protectors series. Laurel Snow is such an interesting, multi-faceted protagonist and I'm loving the slow burn between her and Huck Rivers. New side characters are a welcome addition and I'm looking forward to seeing how they fit in as she builds her team. Her half-sister Abigail is back and their relationship is both fascinating and frustrating to read - you're rooting for Laurel every step of the way! Curious to see where this goes as the series continues.

You Can Hide is book 2 in the Laurel Snow series.
This book takes place shortly after You Can Run.
Another killer is on the loose, and Laurel is working with Huck and local police to catch the killer.
Laurel is such an interesting character, she is very smart, and awkward.
This new case affects her "new" half sister, and has her stumped.
This book is full of twists and turns, and I can't wait for more Laurel Snow books!

Rebecca Zanetti keeps getting better and darker in You Can Hide!

Another serial killer is stalking Genesis Valley, Washington. He leaves black dahlias for his victims and all of them are women with a Dr. in front of their names. Strange that two such killers are working the same small town just a few months apart, no? FBI Agent Laurel Snow and Fish and Wildlife Chief Huck Rivers both think so. Once again, they are teamed up to solve a murder mystery before the killer strikes again. This can't be a coincidence, right?

You Can Hide takes me into the dangerous world of Laurel Snow and it had me enthralled. So many victims. So many suspects. The suspense and the surprise were spectacular! This one is darker than You Can Run. I actually found the murders nauseatingly graphic and difficult, but plowed through anyway, such is this author's power over me. I was rewarded with the delicately growing "friendship" between Laurel and Huck, both loners in their individual ways, who are learning to communicate and truly appreciate each other. Rebecca Zanetti has always excelled in multi-tasking the action and the characters, and this is no exception. And if you ask me, the scariest person in the book wasn't even the one they eventually arrested. It was Laurel's half-sister, Abigail Caine, who chilled my blood every time she stepped on the page. I can hardly wait for the third book!

This is a sincere review of an ARC copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Laurel has just returned back home from an assignment in DC. She is immediately needed at a murder scene. She’s faced with new challenges throughout the case. Of course we get more of Huck and Monty, as well as Kate and the girls. We are introduced to Nester as a new member to the team, and I hope we get more with him. Abigail continues to try to push her way into Laurel’s life. By the end of the book, I was definitely ready for the next Laurel and Huck adventure!

This is the first book I read from this author and I was hooked from the first chapter. To the point that since this is book 2 of a series, after reading the first chapter, I decided to buy book no 1 and only read this book once book 1 of the series was finished. Yes of course like any other good author of crime series, you can read this book independently but it would be your loss as the main character Laurel Snow is such a fascinating character.
The romance background between her and Huck is delightful to follow and and is very welcome within gruesome crimes.

I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next one in the series.

FBI agent, Laurel is my perfect genius, a little socially awkward, yet her personality draws me. With action, suspense, and mystery, Rebecca Zanetti manages to add just the perfect amount of romance for Laurel and Huck. Absolutely wonderful mystery series and this one will keep you guessing.

Book 2 did not disappoint! Once I started reading this book I could not put it down!! Riveting to the end and I never would have guessed who the murderer was! A great murder mystery!

Laurel is back in Washington to work on another murder. And of course they assign Huck Rivers to assist her! Neither are looking for a relationship…but there’s something there…

This killer mutilates the women’s faces and cuts off their hands, a very gruesome way to die. The killer leaves black dahlias on the scene – a flower that signifies betrayal. Now Laurel and Huck need to figure out who’s doing this and why. It seems like another daunting task.

And then another murder happens…before they even get very far into figuring out who is the culprit. It appears that whoever it is has a lot of psychological issues. Enter Abigail…the half sister she never knew she had and isn’t sure she really wants to get to know. They’re both brilliant women but Abigail seems to be obsessed with bonding as sisters with Laurel. However, Laurel isn’t sure she can even trust Abigail!

Then the killer leaves black dahlias on Abigail’s property…is she the next one on the killer’s radar? Laurel isn’t 100% sure that Abigail isn’t doing this herself to get Laurel’s attention – it would be something she could see Abigail doing.

The team is working hard, picking up clues, talking to people, trying to figure out who is doing this and the bodies keep showing up dead. Then, when they least expect it, it takes a turn and when the killer is revealed…no one even saw it coming.

This second book in the Laurel Snow series is just as good as the first one…this reader was baffled until the very end and I had no clue “who dunnit!”

Rebecca Zanetti has done it again…created a series of books that just grab you and don’t let you go until the book is over! I am enjoying this series tremendously and hope that the books just keep on coming! If you haven’t read either book in this new series, I highly suggest that you do…you’ll be glad you did!

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is an engaging and engrossing book. This is book 2 in the Laurel Snow series and can be read as a standalone book.

The book is fast-paced with a hint of humor to give the reader a breather from the action. A satisfying FBI/serial killer procedural that draws the reader in from page 1 until the exciting ending.

I would recommend this author and this series. I would rate this a 4 out of 5 stars. A good read with lots of action and twists to hold the reader's interest.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this sequel to Rebecca Zanetti’s You Can Run for months now, so I was overjoyed when I received the ARC. You Can Hide is an excellent follow up. FBI agent Laurel Snow is back to investigate the murders of intelligent, professional women.

What works:
1. Laurel again teams up with Huck Rivers of Fish and Wildlife. They have a complicated relationship, though they try to fight their mutual attraction.
2. Laurel and Huck are multifaceted characters. Laurel struggles to connect with others and cannot always understand subtext. Huck tries to distance himself from romantic entanglements. He tries to fight the overprotectiveness he feels for Laurel, while also seeking her attention and friendship.
3. The side characters are fantastic. I particularly liked the new character Nester Lewis. He provided some much needed comic relief and was a good sidekick to Laurel.
4. The reader is left guessing until the very end. There were many plot twists and false leads and it all came together to form a shocking climax.
5. Dr. Abigail Caine is back. This time, she says the killer is targeting her. Laurel struggles to keep her half sister at arm’s length while also trying to keep her safe.
6. The ending itself is perfect.

What didn’t:
1. When I read Rebecca Zanetti books, I sometimes wonder how characters can endure the level of violence and walk away from it. These characters are seriously abused and yet they quickly recover.
2. I have to wait too long for the next book!
