Another edge of my seat, slow burn, fantastic read. I love the intrigue, the twists and turns, and the chemistry. There is a serial killer, and Special Agent Laurel Snow is on the case. With Huck Rivers to help her out. From the prolog to the end, the suspense and intrigue kept me guessing until the end. I like the ratio of action and suspense with a side of romance.

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is the second installment to the Laurel Snow series. While I guess you could read this on its own, but the relationships between all the characters were started in book 1.

FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow finds herself back in Genesis Valley. It's still undecided whether she'll be staying her permanently for the new task force, but In the meantime another serial killer is stalking the streets of the small town. As the bodies start piling up, with the help of Fish and Wildlife Officer Huck River, she has to stop the killer before any more women are killed. Too many suspects and her new untrustworthy half sister tangled up in the mystery make it a hard case to solve.

Laurel is the same brilliant but socially inept character that we got to know in book 1 . (If you're new to the series, think female version of Spencer Reed from Criminal minds.) She struggles with whether or not her brilliance could turn her into one of the killers she's spent her life tracking down. Solitude and grumpy Huck, really seems to be her perfect match both as a partner and on a more intimate level. He appreciates her directness and her honesty, and finds it refreshing to be able to tell her exactly what he thinks. They also have a great back and forth when going over suspects and working through theories. On an intimate level they of reverted back to a slow burn, but it does result in a steamy open door intimate scene and thankfully by the end of the book they've actually decided they want to have a go at something between them.

You Can Hide has a story line full of multiple suspects that it has our main character running in circles. With so many, it was also hard for me as a reader to pinpoint who it was before she did. It has everything I look for in a suspense thriller. Dual point of view from our main characters, victim point of views and even the killer's. Action, mystery, danger, and more than one life-threatening situation for our leading heroes.

I've grown quite fond of the staple characters in the series already, and it's only book two. Which makes me excited for more books to come. So far, this is turning out to be a quality suspense thriller series with a dash of romance.

FBI profiler Laurel Snow is called to a scene of a brutally murdered woman. It quickly becomes apparent that this is a work of a serial killer. When Laurel’s newly discovered half-sister potentially becomes a target but is a connection between the women, Laurel must ask, is Abigail a victim or a suspect?

Adding to the drama is Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers, which only makes Laurel’s investigation more complicated.

Between the two of them, they attempt to figure out Abigail’s involvement before Laurel risks her own life.

I have not read any of Rebecca Zanetti’s novels prior to this one.

I enjoyed both Laurel and Huck. I thought Laurel was brillaint, intuitive, and calm. She didn’t allow her emotions to override her common sense, especially when one reporter seemed determined to undermine Laurel at every turn. Huck was brilliant and introverted, but also very hard-working. Both of them recognized their own faults and tried to overcome them.

The mystery drew me in right away. I ached wanting to know more about Abigail. I will say that this is a series that should be read in order, so I do need to go back to the first one. There were many references to the first novel and, unfortunately, spoilers but I still think it’ll help readers understand both Huck and Laurel’s reservations.

Overall, I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars.

FBI Profiler Laurel Snow is back at the scenes of the crime in Genesis Valley. There are bodies popping up in the same rural area where she just solved her last serial killer case. This killer has a different calling card and seems to be working quickly and escalating. It puts her back in a working relationship with Huck Rivers from Fish and Wildlife which is a bit awkward after they shared one hot night, survived a shooting, then kind of faded away. It also brings back her highly intelligent and possibly psychotic sister, Abigail, her quirky investigative crew, and introduces a new tech guru, Nester.

Laurel is brilliant, intuitive, detail-oriented, and an excellent profiler. But she does not excel in emotions, social situations, and communication. Huck is a stoic, introverted, protective, ex-Military man with PTSD and control issues. He also lacks effective social and communication skills. They work well together on cases and share hot chemistry, but are a bit uncomfortable with day-to-day small talk and expressions of feelings.

There are multiple murders, possible suspects and motives, threats, and twists. Laurel and Huck seem to be going in circles and the killer seems to be closing in. They seem to be missing the one piece to pull it all together. Will they figure it out in time before they strike too close to home?

This book sucked me back into this wintery small town with mystery, danger, and suspense. It is best to read it after book one, You Can Run since it explains more of the back story. I like Laurel and Huck and think they are great together even if a bit awkward. Their back stories are interesting and have shaped who they are. I like the side characters and storylines are layered and complex. I am looking forward to more in this series especially since this one left us with more questions about one of the main side characters.

Back to the amazing, suspenseful and exhilarating life that is Laurel Snow, FBI profiler extraordinaire as she hunts down another killer, this one a sociopath who seems to fall in love with women and then kills them. This story was a showstopper with so many unexpected turns and scary af moments that really had my heart thumping. This romantic suspense is perfect and deserves some serious notice.

I love Laurel so much! She is smart and kind and seriously tough. I really enjoy the sparks that still pop between Huck and Laurel and the way Laurel interacts with everyone around her. She is so unique and brilliant, and I absolutely adore her. Huck makes the perfect partner for her too. The way they work as a team even as the sparks kindle a small flame, made this story extra special. I can't wait to see what comes next! You Can Hide gets a HEART POUNDING FIVE SUSPENSEFUL STARS!

This is the second book in this wonderful FBI procedural suspense story and I do recommend that you read the first book "You Can Run" first as it will give you a far better understanding of the characters and their motivations for this story. Someone is killing people in the far north of Washington state and leaving black dahlias at the crime scene So the FBI's best is sent in to profile the case That is non other than genius Laurel Snow but she may try to be cold and analytical but this case may involve her sister but is she a future victim or something else Meanwhile she also has to deal with fish and game officer Huck Rivers someone who with his seat of the pants approach to life is the total opposite if her but there is a spark between them as well. All in this is a action packed ride with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and the perfect way to spend a few hours.

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti is another thrilling ride in the Laurel Snow series. This time we see Laurel trying to save her sociopathic sister from a killer whilst developing her relationship with the Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers. But this killer is smart and brilliant and Laurel helping her sister might just forfeit her own.

The first book in this series was really enjoyable as we were introduced to Laurel and the people in her life. The second is much the same as her relationships develop and Laurel has to deal with emotions that she hasn’t necessarily dealt with before. Her relationship with her sister is complex with lots of twist and turns as you try and figure out if she is a good or bad person.

Like the first book, this one has a lot of twist, turns and suspense and a little bit of romance thrown into the mix. If you like your main characters complex, this is the one for you!

Laurel Snow is a FBI Special Agent and is currently in her hometown in Washington state. She is working with Huck Rivers from Fish & Wildlife on tracking down another possible serial killer in Genius Valley.. They had spent a night together while investigating case they worked on (in book #1 of the series) and they again are investigating a possible new serial killer and while trying to ignore their mutual attraction.

There are so many great twists and turns that I could not figure out who the killer was till near the end of the book. This series is definitely worth reading, it’s a fantastic series!!!

Laurel Snow is back!

This one was a rideeee. Laurels weird ass "sister", corrupt cops, and rowdy youth just barely brushes the amount of characters I was sussing out while reading this. And SOMEHOW with all my guesses, I was still wrong. Thanks Rebecca.


Unlike the first one, the second was light on the romance, but heavy on the suspense. I do wish we got to see more angst between Huck and Laurel. I feel like they're going in circles with each other, one rushed hook up with no sustenance after another. I will say I had a more immersive read due to the ambiance music I had playing while zooming through this on my Kindle. 10/10 definitely recommend.


I had a good time reading this, but it doesn't beat the first book in this series, by a long shot. I'm giving this one a 3/5, but the series as a whole a 4/5. I hope there's a next book because this one left on an incredible cliffhanger!

Wow, that last line of the book! This author is spectacular, keeps you guessing right up until the end. Huck and Laurel are still dancing around each other, they are both dorky, loners, but when you put them together, they click. The plot is amazing, the characters are unique, the mystery, superb. "Warm and kind.", not a psychopath. Phew. Loved the building chemistry between these two. Always a pleasure to read this author.

And wouldn’t you know…Laurel’s sister is somehow connected to the killings. This was the second book in a trilogy, but can be read by itself. Enjoyed the action, romance, and suspense!

This was another great thriller I thoroughly enjoyed. It's Your Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti and I received it from Kensington Books via Netgalley. It will be out on the 29th of November.

We follow FBI profiler Laurel Snow who returns to her hometown after a major case. Somehow she stumbles on a new case that has bodies turning up. Her newly discovered half-sister is also being threatened and Laurel tries her best to protect her but the killer is getting closer by the minute.

This book was filled with so much action, you never had a full moment while reading it. Quite fast paced, interesting and well thought out characters, plus a great story: a definite recommendation!

I’m going to start with the classification of this story. With this author, it is easy to see why people will assume this is a romantic suspense, but I wouldn’t classify this book as a romance. And, to be fair, neither does the author. On her website, it’s referred to as a thrilling suspense, and that seems right to me. Don’t worry, there is plenty of interactions with Huck and Laurel. But their romance is by no means the central story here.

That being said. Laurel and Huck have a wonderful connection. Because Laurel is socially awkward and not able to pick up on social cues, she doesn’t get that Huck is quite enamored with her. Subtleties don’t hit the mark with Laurel. While Huck knows this about her, it can still be confusing and frustrating for him. Yet these two always come back around to each other and really do understand each other in ways nobody else does. So while this can’t, in my mind, be considered a romance, it still scratched some of my itch for some warm fuzzies.

The meat of this story is the possible (new) serial killer on the loose in the Pacific Northwest. Lauren and Huck team up again to solve this case. The mystery itself is well written. There were a lot of suspects that kept me guessing. But the thing about this series that keeps me invested is Abigail. Lauren’s half-sister is creepy. I love how the author writes all of the characters, but with Abigail, it is next level. I never know where she’s going and what she’s up to. So while the criminal cases in both books so far were wrapped up by the end of the books, there’s still so much not known about Abigail. Obviously, she is not a good person, but how involved has she been in the murders so far? And how far will she go to get what she wants? For that matter, what does she want?

It’s my opinion that you shouldn’t read this story without reading You Can Run first. I don’t feel the full extent of Laurel’s personality or Huck’s reasons for his need to be alone will be appreciated without reading that first book. This is a series that will continue to build tension (and romance) as it goes along.

You Can Hide, the second book in Rebecca Zanetti's Laurel Snow thriller series, kept me reading way past bedtime!

Laurel is a brilliant FBI profiler, a child prodigy with multiple degrees, and a look-alike half-sister named Abigail, a sociopath and just as accomplished as Laurel. Set in the snowy Pacific Northwest, a violent serial killer is terrorizing the remote community. Laurel partners again with Fish and Wildlife Captain Huck Rivers to capture a predator who appears to have Abigail on his kill list. Or has Abigail made herself look like a victim to get her sister's attention??

The story twists and turns, the clues are shadowy with several dead-ends, and you feel the frustration of solving the case alongside Laurel and Huck. And they make a great team in more ways than one. Laurel is neurodiverse, brilliant, keenly observant, and brave, and Huck is intuitive, smart, knows the land, and deals with PTSD. I love their chemistry and how they understand one another.

On the other hand, Laurel and Abigail are playing a cat-and-mouse game. Abigail is highly manipulative and seemingly obsessed with Laurel, making her unpredictable in ways that will be intriguing to see play out across the series.

Suspenseful and fast-paced with high stakes and multiple subplots, the writing and pacing make this completely bingeable!

I loved the first book in this series, You Can Run, and it's probably a good idea to read it first. Described as The Blacklist meets The Profiler, these books are atmospheric, gripping, and intense!

This is the second book in the Laurel Snow trilogy; you can probably read it as a standalone, but I think it's better to go back and read the first book first.

FBI agent Laurel Snow and FWS Agent Huck Rivers are working to catch a serial killer. This is the second serial killer operating in a small town, and Laurel and Huck are very suspicious about the likelihood of that happening. Is something drawing serial killers to Laurel?

Overall, a suspenseful book. I thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong. A little slow at times, and then super fast toward the end, but a solid second book.

First off, your need to start with book 1 in the Laurel Snow Series and trust me it will be worth it!

Rebecca Zanetti creates a story that will have reader finishing the book needing to know what is happening with Laurel and her new half-sister who might be a killer or who might have a killer after her.

The author has the ability to create characters out of everything from an animal, people, the city and even the buildings that are found in the story.

The characters are growing and developing along with a few surprises that readers will not be able to get enough of. Laurel and Huck are completely different from each other which create the best team.

The author is able to create a dark and gritty story that has just the right blend of light moments to keep readers from falling in the darkness.

Hands down one of the best series by Rebecca Zanetti and seeing as the author as an amazing book list that is saying something big.

Another thrilling read in this new series! Laurel is such a complex character. There is a lot to love about this book especially the slow burn with Huck. Their professional relationship is just as intriguing as the personal one. Abigail is hands down the creepiest characters this author has written. The tension with Rachel gave me a love to hate character. Then there's the twists, action, and suspense. There's something for everyone. I can't wait for the next book!

You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti was a surprise for me, but in a very good way! I have read this author in the past, but her prior books have always been more paranormal romance and this was definitely not that. I really enjoyed this thriller! The author did such an excellent job with the genre that you would think that this was her norm. The book was action packed without feeling rushed or unrealistic. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a good murder mystery as it is one of the better-done ones in my opinion.

I have not yet read the first book in this series, but will definitely be going back and reading it now. Despite going in without any introduction to the characters, they were so well-developed that I didn’t feel completely lost in either them or the story. I really enjoyed how different Lauren was and how her character was written about.

The mystery itself was pretty decent. I figured out the whodunnit well before the conclusion, but it did not hinder how enjoyable the reading experience was. That said, if you like being completely blown away by the mystery then this may not be the book for you. It is slightly descriptive of the murder scenes and there is content that includes rape, sexual harassment, and of course, murder.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book. Zanetti did what most serial killer thriller writers are incapable of, make the love story actually believable and enjoyable. I am so impressed with how well the author wrote in this genre and I can’t wait to read what she has in store for us next!
