The best book on starting macros you will ever need. The beginning explains macros. Then there’s meal planning & recipes. Ending with exercises you need. I felt so prepared to start after reading this book.

There is a wealth of information here about macros. Also included are a ton of meal plans, pantry stocking lists, and recipes. I especially want to try the Halloumi tacos! At the end, there are workout routines which was also surprising.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

As someone who has heard a lot about macros I was interested to learn more from this book. It is really a guide - it lays out two meal plans (one to lose weight and one to gain muscle) that span two weeks each. The book focuses on increasing gains through protein and exercise and losing weight through calorie deficiency and exercise. There's a variety of recipes in this book, but nothing that really jumped out for me. I could see this book being helpful for people who want a guide to stick to and learn from.

This is very informative to a beginner looking for a place to start. It include 14 days of meal plans for fat loss and muscle gain. There is also an exercise program to go along with the 14 days as well.

I am not exactly the correct target audience for an all-in-one macro basics, healthy recipe, and beginner’s workout routine book. I was only really interested in the recipes as I have been counting macros for years and I haven’t come across a comprehensive all meals macros-based cookbook with recipes for those of us who aren’t master chefs, don’t have a ton of free time, or don’t want to spend hundreds on keeping certain ingredients in the house - which is what I enjoy for the most part about this one. They seem simple enough without odd ingredients.

I’ve been counting macros for a while so it didn’t benefit me much personally, but the book also breaks down beginner macros, how to calculate, the benefits of tracking, etc, which is good knowledge for those interested in just getting started. Same with the workout routines - I don’t need that, but it could help those just getting started with simple bodyweight exercise.

Thank you to NetGalley, Callisto Media, and the author for the e-galley in exchange for an honest review!

This book is great and perfect for people who want to follow a macros based approach to their cooking. I have to follow a strict FODMAP diet which I only recently discovered, so this book will have to be inspiration for me and then I'll need to heavily modify the recipes. Very simple and easy to read which is essential for me as I'm not a natural cook.

Great book on Macro diet with a lot of flexible recipes. What is also super helpful is the meal plans for weight loss and muscle building. I also liked the diversity of recipes the cookbook has to offer.

This easy to navigate, comprehensive cookbook explains everything you need to know about macros and how to incorporate this method into your eating to create a healthier lifestyle. The author does a great job explaining the method and gives all pertinent information to get started toward eating this way in order to either gain lean muscle mass or lose fat.

There are “easy to follow” 2 week plans included. I read this on kindle and really enjoyed the link feature in the meal plans where I could click on a meal and would be taken directly to the recipe.

The recipe section is full of delicious dishes made with whole foods and easy to find ingredients. I’ve already tried the Chia Matcha Smoothie Bowl and the Blueberry Peanut Butter Muffins and they were so good! I look forward to making many more of these recipes such as: the Dessert Hummus, the Goat Cheese and Tomato Breakfast Wraps and the Chickpea Curry Bowls. In fact, there wasn’t a single recipe in this book that I wouldn’t try.

The final section of the book is dedicated to exercise routines for strength and cardio.

This book should appeal to the beginner or the experienced macro counter, it is realistic, doable and promises to be the program that can be maintained for life!

Thank you Netgalley, Callisto Media-Rockridge Press, and the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. This book is available for purchase on August 9, 2022
