This was such a fun and light listen. Thoroughly enjoyed this. The narrator was great and the story itself was good as well.

A single mom moves into a new neighborhood with her children and almost instantly gets into a battle with the HOA over a lawn gnome. But when she meets the HOA president, he is very attractive, and as gnome-gate gets more intense, Amelia and Kyle become good friends, and maybe even more.
This book was so cute. I really appreciated seeing Amelia as a mother throughout this story. I loved how she was really there for her kids and was so wonderful and supportive as a parent. Even better, we saw her go through a healing journey of her own and still have time for herself. I’m not a parent, but I felt this was a really good depiction of motherhood. In addition to that, this book had some really funny moments. I loved the HOA battle and gnome-gate was so entertaining!
I switched between ebook and audio and really enjoyed Eva Wilhelm’s narration.
Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the advance copies.

After her sleazy husband cheats on her, Amelia starts a new life in a new home and neighborhood with her children. Romance is the last thing on her mind. Kyle, president of her new HOA has also had his heart broken and has no desire to get involved with anyone, but sometimes fate has a way of playing little tricks on people and try as they might to deny it, the sparks fly between these two unwilling would be lovers. This was a sweet little romance, if I had any criticism, it might be that it tries a little too hard to be cute, but all in all, it’s an enjoyable diversion

Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media for the chance to listen and review this audiobook prior to its release on August 31st.
I was sold on this one based on the adorable cover and the promise of a fun "mom rom" a new take on "rom com"
We have a single mom that moves into a new neighborhood and battles the HOA over her kid's lawn gnomes. It was light and funny and a great mindless listen.
3.5 stars

This book is centered around a recently divorced mom who moves into a new house with an overzealous HOA.
I freaking loved this book. I thought this was the cutest, most schmaltzy rom-com and I want more.
I honestly wrote in my notebook, “okay, this is the cutest rom-com”.
I love Amelia's quick wit, and Kyle's big heart is so freaking endearing.
Chloe and Jacob are so freaking sweet and really tug at your heart strings. And honestly, they remind me a lot of my kids. My son (the oldest) is a big old softy. And my daughter is the feisty, fierce one. So I can totally see her punching someone for her brother!
Honestly, this book is super sweet and a fantastic clean romance. A bit of swearing. But that's it. I love it so freaking much!
Thank you, Netgalley & Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this Audiobook
Thank you, Tracy Goodwin for writing this adorable book
Thank you, Eva Wilhelm for using your voice to bring these stunning characters to life!

With neighbor like this by Tracy Goodwin releasing August 2022. This is a great feel good book. It has a single mom with two kids. It has a jerk ex and a dad who will not communicate with the kids. Enters a man who is kind and helpful and present.

With Neighbors Like This was a fantastic read! A story of motherhood, starting over, found family, romance and community - it was heartwarming, laugh out loud funny and full of feel good moments!
10/10 recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the advance copy in exchange for my honest review!

I really, really enjoyed listening to this audiobook! It was compelling and awesome, and I’m looking forward to buying the book!

I love me a good mommy drama! There’s something about a single mom standing up for herself and her kids in the face of a snooty neighbor that I just can’t resist.
With Neighbors Like This reminded me of The Truth and Other Hidden Things, Welcome to the Neighborhood, and Mom Jeans and Other Mistakes. Wow, this genre loves its long titles!
The scenes of Amelia putting Carla in her place were, of course, my favorite.
I enjoyed Amelia as the main character. She was strong, confident, and a great advocate for her kids. I liked her wit and sarcasm. I’m not sure how she balanced a full-time job, single motherhood, researching tenant’s rights and still had time to organize Easter egg hunts, but somehow she stayed on top of it all! In fact, she was such a good mom that her worst offense was having to move her kids’ gnome from the front yard to the back.
Kyle was so sweet, especially with Amelia’s kids. I wish we got to see more of his backstory and what hurt him in his past. I do think I wanted a little more out of the romance than we got. Both Amelia and Kyle were frustratingly wishy-washy about whether they wanted to be together. I liked that the romance took a back seat to Amelia’s relationship with her children, but I feel like there still could have been a little more, given that we got to see a decent amount of Kyle’s thoughts!
Audio Review: This audiobook was narrated by Eva Wilhelm. This was the first production of hers that I’ve listened to. I enjoyed her performance overall, and thought she was a good fit for Amelia’s character. However I didn’t like her “man-voice” for Kyle–it’s so important that a voice actor be able to do any gender’s voice well, but Kyle’s voice missed the mark for me in this one.

I listened to about a fifth of this before giving up. It was trying too hard to be funny, and it just didn't work. Also: not even remotely subtle.
