Just plugging away at this completely Bingeable series. This book definitely requires Suspension-of-disbelief for all the stuff that happens in it. Not my favorite so far but it was still Enjoyable.

Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you, NetGalley and publishers.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is the third in the series. Finlay has written her character into a corner and she’s not sure how to fix it. Her real life isn’t much better. Her ex wants to get back together, her trusty friend Vero is keeping secrets, and she’s not sure if she can really trust Nick as much as she wants to. Surely a week at civilian cop boot camp will help with her writer’s block. But is her luck going to hold?

Another epic adventure with Finlay and Vero. Angela Dawe narrated and it’s the only way to go in my opinion. She has some different voices and so fun to listen.
Finlay and Vero are off for a week of civilian police camp. They are still trying to figure out who easy clean is and now they have to do it from dorms. These two are the modern day Lucy and Ethel. I love this series.
Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for a honest opinion. 3.75⭐️

I’m really enjoying the Finlay Donovan series, though this book was a bit of a mixed bag for me. While it had some unexpected twists and jaw-dropping moments, I felt like the story got a bit far-fetched at times. Still, the relationships, especially between Finlay and Vero, keep me hooked. Their antics, the suspense, and the humorous situations never fail to entertain. I loved the change of scenery and the new challenges they faced, but there were moments where the plot dragged a bit. Despite that, I’m still invested in the series and can’t wait for what comes next!

Definitely had no clue that was coming! Still enjoying this series! Loving the relationships & mysteriousness of everything. Really keeping me guessing! Vero also cracks me up 😂👏🏼 I don’t want to give too much away, but loving the romantic side of things right now. I really was waiting for something to happen. Loved the change of scenery in this book also & some of the shocking moments I was not expecting & my jaw definitely dropped!

This series is far fetched and ridiculous but in the best way. It works because this is just a fun time. This book takes place at a police academy so they are surrounded by a bunch of cops the whole time and they still get away with doing sneaky things. For the most part anyways.

I will say that this was probably my least favorite of the three books I’ve read so far. It just dragged a little bit and the overall storyline wasn’t as interesting as the first two. I still enjoyed it though! I still love Finlay and I still love Vero. Their friendship is the real gem of this whole series. I’m loving that Vero has a love interest now too.
There’s a novella next for Vero and I’m SO excited for it!

This one was my least favorite of the series so far. Honestly, the story just keeps getting more and more far fetched and Finlay is starting to frustrate me. I’m ready for something different and to jump ahead a little bit. Curious to see where Cosimano takes it next.

Decided to DNF this series. Was super excited to see what all the hype was about and wanted to binge it but I just don't think the cozy mystery is the genre for me sadly, though I do totally get why other readers love it so much!

Excited to finally read these! Finlay Donovan is as good as everyone said it was, can't believe I waited this long.

Thanks to Netgalley for giving me a nudge in the form of free copies of previous books.

Nonstop laughs and suspense! Finlay and Vero are my Thelma and Louise! I love reading their adventures and all the crazy antics that this cast of characters get into. In this adventure they enroll in a citizen's police academy and the craziness continues. It has all of the new and old characters that we have come to love. I can't wait for the next installment :)

This is book two in the series and I absolutely loved this book! I hope there are 10 more books written in this series. I love the character of Finley, this book has her doing some detective work and trying to dodge two men who are trailing her. Love how easy to read this book is.

Another wild ride with Finlay and Vero! In Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun, the stakes are higher, the laughs are louder, and the chaos is peak Finlay. Between trying to identify a contract killer, juggling romantic tension with a certain hot cop, and attending a Citizens Police Academy (yes, really), the duo is back to their delightfully messy ways. Fast-paced, funny, and full of twists—this is a fantastic addition to the series. Can’t wait for book four!

I would like to thank St. Martin's Press , Minotaur Books & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review

Finlay Donovan is one of my all time favorite series! The books are full of humor, hilarity, hijinks, and a little romantic intruige. Excited to see where this series takes us!

Favorite Quotes:

“The child is holding very still. I think he might be up to something.” I wrinkled my nose. Zach was definitely up to something. “He’s grunting and his face is turning red. I think he’s possessed.”

It was only a month into the new year, and I was throwing my third resolution into the fire like a cheap champagne flute.

My Review:

I gleefully bounced in my chair and frequently laughed aloud while I inhaled this amusing and cleverly penned series. I loved every well-chosen arrangement of words. Elle Cosimano is absolutely brilliant, and her Finaly Donovan creation is a gift. Poor Finaly, she was a semi-successful writer who had an ex-husband who couldn’t keep it in his pants and a toddler who refused to keep his pants on, or toilet train. Finaly was a hot mess.

Her adventures started with an inadvertent slip of paper on a Panera tray, which eventually led her to helping various women living in difficult situations who were “seeking a specialist with a certain skill set.” Finaly didn’t actually have the skill set, but she and Vero, her ever helpful nanny, kept managing to accidentally kill bad people, some they were supposed to, others just had the bad luck to die in their vicinity.

The engaging storylines were active, eventful, smartly plotted, and populated with a colorful cast of oddly compelling characters, many of whom were unlikable, yet quirkily and knowingly drawn. I downed six in a row and finished the last one hoping there are more to come.

Oh Finlay!
As expected, I had a great time reading this installment of Finlay’s (mis)adventures. Very excited to see what she will get herself into next—and how she will get out of it.
If you like Good Girls on Netflix, pick up this series!

Much thanks to Elle Cosimano, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for allowing me to read a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Another great installment! I did get a little lost on who was who, particularly regarding the cops and class members, and I'm starting to lose track of who knows which of Finlay and Vero's secrets. The Stew therapist character came out of nowhere for me; maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention, but I had no idea what he was doing there. I'm at the point where I just have to roll with it and try to keep up. Fast-paced is a great thing, at least to my taste, but beware of information overwhelm. I do not envy Cosimano and her editor the work of keeping it all straight. I feel like I need a quick series-to-date review--This character is involved in this way and knows X and Y but not Z.

There was more Javi--yay! Though I feel kinda bad for Ramon, being in the dark about everything going on around him.

The love triangle got some clarification--goodbye Julian, with regrets; Nick's the future.

I kinda thought Finn's kids were brats in book 1, but with each successive book they're growing on me. Still not 100% sold on Vero, but she's definitely a charismatic, sympathetic sidekick.

So much nonstop nonsense! I liked the forensics class scenes the best. It was cool for the characters to get involved in a Russian mob

Finlay….Finlay….Finlay….

This girl always seems to find herself in the wildest moments.

The setting for this one was really cool IMO! A police academy where for a set amount of time citizens get to see what it’s like to be a cop, or at least a very small controlled part of it at least. I loved the onslaught of characters being thrown at us. It was a true suspense I felt like and it had my heart racing in the final 15%. And the gasp I gasped when we found out which cop was working for Felix! 😱

Time for book 4!

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC!

Elle Cosimano does it again with the third installment in the Finlay Donovan series! I loved the setting of this one - taking place at a police training academy. It felt original and fresh. Veronica is so funny, I can’t stop laughing at the Flat Stanley reference. That is comedy gold. I can’t wait to see what adventures Finlay and Vero go on next!
