The Finlay Donovan Series is just SO fun.
I love the characters, the antics, the dialogue.
I can't wait for the next installment to see what kind of trouble they get into next.
And how they get out of it!

This series is the best! I am always smiling at Finlay and Vero and the all sorts of trouble they get into. This time it involves a mob and many close calls. It’s a really fun book! The series continues to make me laugh and want more

Finlay, Vero, Nick, Georgia, and a police academy??? I started this book by laughing out loud and ended up gasping in surprise! I loved it. It might be my favorite one so far. But that freaking ex husband is the worst, and the bad guys are getting a little braver and that is so exciting!

Thanks to NetGalley and Minotaur books for the digital copy of this book. I was lucky enough to get the whole back catalog of Finlay Donovan books and the forthcoming novel to read.
This time around, Finlay is saved by the Russian mob and now she owes them. Crazy, funny, exciting adventure ensues! I am really enjoying this series.

These books just keep getting better. I laughed so much. I love the characters and the stories. Thank you for the opportunity to read this!

This very quickly has become one of my favorite series! It’s hilarious and the situations these two find themselves in is highly entertaining!

3.5 stars
Another great addition to the series, lots more lol’s and we learn some history on some of our characters as it comes back to bite.
Though I dont love romance so much, the romance here is just lighthearted enough to not gag me.
So far I’m really enjoying this series. I hope it doesn’t get overdone too quickly.

3.5 rounded up for now. Was cute, little slow and I kind of lost interest little bit into it and didn't know what the actual mystery was they were trying to solve. But i read and listened over just a couple of says so rounded up rather than down.

The setting for this third book in the series is so original! Finlay and Vero are hiding out from the mob at the Citizen's Police Academy, with Detective Nick running the show. We see Finlay's relationship with Detective Nick deepen as they enjoy some forced proximity. In this book, we continue a plot from the last book, in trying to figure out who Easy Clean is. Finlay and Vero have their suspicions that Easy Clean might be closer than is comfortable. Like the books before it, this book ends with a hint of what we can expect in the next!
The book is easy to read and follow but keeps your attention. I have listened to this is audiobook format and really loved the narrator, the slight voice changes for characters, and the pacing.

**Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun** by Elle Cosimano is the first book I’ve read in this series, and I’m already hooked! It’s a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud mix of crime, chaos, and comedy as Finlay—mystery writer, overwhelmed mom, and accidental hit-woman—finds herself tangled in mob trouble, police academy training, and some undeniable sparks with Detective Nick.
The characters are lovable, the banter is sharp, and Vero, Finlay’s ride-or-die sidekick, steals every scene she’s in. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how Finlay would juggle all the madness around her (spoiler: hilariously).
This was my first taste of Elle Cosimano’s writing, and now I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series. If you love funny, twisty mysteries with a side of heart and hijinks, *Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun* is a must-read!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley and publisher for the 48 hour access to the series!
Elle Cosimano does it again! *Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun* is another knockout installment in this delightfully zany and addictive series. Finlay and Vero are back, and this time the stakes are higher, the humor is sharper, and the shenanigans are even wilder.
This book had me laughing out loud and on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The plot takes a hilariously unexpected turn when Finlay finds herself at a law enforcement training camp while trying to solve a murder mystery and dodge a contract killer. Only Finlay could mix up crime-solving with hot cops and a surprising amount of sexual tension—and make it work!
What I love most about this series is how Cosimano keeps Finlay relatable despite the over-the-top situations. She’s still navigating single motherhood, dealing with her messy love life, and trying to keep her writing career afloat—all while stumbling her way through murder investigations like a total amateur. The chemistry between Finlay and Nick is sizzling, but it’s the friendship between Finlay and Vero that really steals the show. Their dynamic is equal parts hilarious and heartwarming.
If you love fast-paced mysteries with humor, charm, and just the right amount of chaos, this book (and the entire series) is a must-read. I’m counting down the days until the next Finlay Donovan adventure!

As soon as I saw this series available, I jumped all over it. I love everything about this series and these characters. You can NOT go wrong if you want a fun and quirky murder mystery. I am absolutely devouring this series and beleive it is impossible to not have a great time reading.
Thank you Elle Cosimano, St. Martin's Press, Minotaur, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

Elle Cosimano does it again,
I don't think i've loved a series as much as this one.
I normally don't go for cozy mystery but this one is a MUST.

We get a little bit better of a view into Vero’s past as it comes back up to get her! This book was action packed, included plenty of accidentally committed crimes, intentionally committed crimes, and plenty of amazing banter. I can’t wait for the next one!

I think this my favorite one yet. This romantic suspense series is all levels of entertaining: it’s both funny yet still contains a good level of mystery. I really love all the characters!

'Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun' returns us to Finlay Donovan's world as she attempts to find a contract killer. This task takes her and Vero- her nanny/coconspirator- to the citizen's police academy. I found the setting to be great for moving this story forward, plus, it put Finlay in regular contact with her latest love interest, and the tension between keeping him in the dark about her plans and feeling closer to him provides a lot of comedic energy throughout the book.
Thank you to Elle Cosimano and Minotaur Books for the ARC in exchange for a honest review of 'Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun.'

Fun, fast-paced read, very easy (popcorn lit). The third installment is just as good as the first two. I loved the concept of Finlay being a hit woman, but she sort of segues into more of an investigator. After her hit woman days, she’s now more connected to the mob, who do her more favors while helping her to save her ex. Well, they are now calling in the favor and want the name of the person involved in the hit on her ex. Finley has to juggle her past bad deeds and her current actions from all but her friend, nanny and accountant, Vero.
This is an addictive series and I’m excited to start the next book.

Elle Coimano has such a fun series. This one is just as cute as the other two. More crazy situations they get themselves into. Still enjoy reading about these characters.

Finlay and Vero are back at it in book 3 of this hilarious series. I read this book on my Kindle and listened to the audiobook version as well which was fun. The audiobook is narrated by Angela Dawe and she does a wonderful job. I would recommend both ways to enjoy this book.
It seems that Finlay and Vero just have trouble falling them wherever they go. Yet they always seem able to solve the problems one way or another but not before making me laugh out loud. On to book #4 for me, I can't get enough of this crazy duo.

The Finlay Donovan series never disappoints. This book finds Finlay still trying to figure out who wanted to kill her ex-husband to save him and save herself. All she has are her suspicions that the would-be killer is a police officer and the opportunity to go to a week long event where she would be in contact with all the police officers she suspects. Taking that chance, she and her trusty nanny/accountant Vero find themselves in the middle of an important investigation. One that is dangerous, mysterious, and altogether too entertaining.
I appreciate how real the characters feel even if they're going through entirely unrelatable experiences. I like that they have depth and that the story continues to weave an intricate tale. There's no small details in this series. Everything matters and everything comes up again later in ways that you wouldn't necessarily catch at first glance. Finlay Donovan's story is one that I don't think that I'll ever tire of, and I am so excited to continue to read about her and Vero's adventures, hoping they'll never get caught.
