This series is one of my favorite reads of the year! it is such a perfect blend of mystery, comedy, and romance. The characters are so lovable and I found myself rooting for them even as they did some morally questionable things. This was my favorite book in the series (so far!) and I loved the extra romance and suspenseful moments. If you are looking for something laugh out loud funny with a lot of heart and a delightfully twisty plot, I would highly recommend picking up this book!

Thanks to NetGalley and Minotair & Macmillan Audio for the ARC! 4.75 stars! There is no quality lost in this series, every single one is worthy of its praise. Once again, Finlay Donovan finds herself in a sticky situation as she tries to navigate her ever complicating life after being mistaken for and hired as an assassin. The charming characters, laugh out loud humor and intriguing mystery are all there! The only downside is having to wait for the next one.

Third book in the series of Finlay Donovan’s unpredictable life and not the last as Finlay and her babysitter Vero keep getting themselves in situations. This book is concentrating more on Vero but peppered with her sarcasm it’s still lighthearted and fun read.
This series, great storyline and likable characters will suck you in and not let you go. Honestly surprised this series hasn’t been picked up for tv yet.

I love Finlay! She's so relatable and hilarious. I want to be her bestie!! I can't wait to continue this series.

It's Finlay us the Russian mob. To solve the problem, Finlay must find and identify a contract killer before the cops do. All this while a ttenting Nick's citizen police academy and getting closer to the handsome cop.

This series continues to delight me over and over again! The comedic duo of Finlay and Vero never seem to get old, and this time we’ve got a new setting, some new characters, and a plot that builds and builds toward a dramatic showdown. I really love how funny this series is, so we’ve got mystery and murder but it never gets too too dark. Will definitely be eagerly awaiting the next book!

Probably my least favorite in the series, but still an enjoyable read! Finlay and her nanny/friend/partner in crime, Vero are back in the third installment of the Finlay Donovan series.
Finlay and Vero are back to investigate an online contract killer and get thrown into the citizens' police academy as they suspect the person is a cop. While still a fun and quick read, I felt like this book dragged on for a bit and I wasn't as invested compared to the first two books. Still worth the read and I absolutely love this series! Start from the beginning and you'll speed through the series as there are lots of fun over-the-top antics and shenanigans.

FINLAY DONOVAN
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️ innuendo
🤬🤬🤬
I have been loving my reread of this series! Everything I want in a mystery can be found in these books. It takes place throughout fall and winter so it’s a perfect read for this time of year. I love Finlay’s shenanigans and the ironic humor woven through the story. I love the romantic tension. And I love that the stories feel realistic. Seriously, the best cozy mystery series I’ve found!

Finlay Donovan Jumps The Gun
4.25⭐️
Nick 😭💛 He had my heart at this point in the series.
I felt like this one didn't have quite as high of stakes and high anxiety as the last 2 books even though they're all in cop school.... IN THE BEGINNING! So deceitful. The tension and stakes got higher and higher. The suspect list was growing. The author really put the suspicion on everyone. 2 of the cops were giving me off vibes but ofcourse it's never the one you expect 😐
Overall, I say this series is SO BINGEABLE! 4.25 ⭐️ through and through. The writing style was consistent over the 3 books. Closed door romance but the build up and innuendos were top notch!

There’s going to MORE?! LFGO! I definitely thought this was a trilogy so what a pleasant surprise to read that cliffhanger at the end!!! Definitely one of my favorite series to read and recommend. A ton of fun and so unexpected!
I received an advance review copy for free from the publisher via Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Favors from the mob? Being in a debt to the mob? Best friend relationships? Hot cops? This series just keeps me guessing. Vero and Finlay can’t seem to stay out of trouble and I just can’t seem to stop reading! Love this series.

Book #3 does not disappoint!
Hot cop Nick has been tasked with starting up a citizen's police academy. While Finlay deals with another looming book deadline, the last thing she want is to go. However, Feliks the mob boss has enough riding over them to convince Finlay and Vero to get involved. As they work through firearm training and forensic classes, Finlay and Vero use their time in police academy to sleuth out the real contract killer to free themselves from the mob's clutches―all the while dodging spies, confronting Vero's past, and juggling the daily trials of parenthood.

The mob. The Russian mob. Just when you think Finlay and Vero can’t get up to anything more insane, here we are! I loved the mafia presence in this one and I will never ever tire of these characters!

THERE BETTER BE A FOURTH
This one kind of draws out the continuous story of Finlay and ends on such a cliff hanger that makes you begging for more!

I’m not sorry to say that this was a 5 star read for me, I’ve seen mixed reviews but I LOVE Finlay. The amount of shenanigans is just perfect, I’m constantly laughing at what ridiculous situations Finn and Vero get themselves into. I thought the police academy plot was so silly and it made me think of the old 80s movie 🤣
I’m rooting for Finn and Nick, they had a really sweet moment in the closet. And I need Vero to get back with Javi, there’s so much history there 👀 and the banter 👌🏼
So looking forward to the next book, whenever it will drop 🙌🏼 there’s a few loose ends - Zhirov’s escape, whatever the heck is going on with Stephen? And the mysterious kidnapping that will take Finn and Vero to Atlantic City. Bring. It. On.

I loved everything about this book! It may be a 3rd book in a series, but the exciting and hilarious plot keeps it feeling fresh.

This book was a disappointment given how great the first 2 were. When the mystery was revealed it was so unexpected and not in a good way. I mean no one suspected the guy because he was a side character that added nothing to the story. All in all I still enjoyed the read.

Another fun adventure with Finlay and Vero. This one primarily takes place at a citizen's police academy. It was a fun way to trap all of the usual characters at one location, even nosey neighbor Mrs. Haggerty. I got lost a bit in the middle, but it all came together in the end. If you have ever enjoyed a Stephanie Plum novel, you need to read the Finlay Donovan series. So many good laughs.

Finlay and Vero - citizen police? HA perfect fit for them. This was my favorite so far. I love the Feliks angle. Finlay didn’t annoy me nearly as much as the other books and Vero is obviously best supporting actress! I don’t generally like books that happen all in one place over a few days but this was so fast paced it didn’t bother me. This book is perfect for anyone who is looking for a fast paced, hilarious, cozy mystery. Looking forward to book 4!

This was a little bit of a stretch, wasn’t it?
I enjoy Finn and Vero’s friendship too much to complain about the actual synopsis of the story, which is barely a thing in this third book of the series.
At the end of the day, the main aspects of a cosy mystery are all here: the action, the big question mark, the romance, as many plot twists as you can think, and some obviousness none of them see.
What doesn't help is this massive continuity with the last book: she hasn't yet completed her second book, so she's doing research for it; she's okay with the kids spending an entire week with their father, who's far from being responsible, and she seems to have forgotten what he has done to her; we thought the lawyer was a closed chapter, but he's here for the sake of it; and so on.
Also, why does any action of the story always happen in the last quarter of the book?
I'm gonna read the next one to find out if anything she has done comes back to bite her. I mean, for how long will she look guilty as hell for things she hasn't done, and innocent for the ones she actually did?
Thanks to St. Martin’s Press and Minotaur Books and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
