Thank you to the author/publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this whole series! I think everyone should read these because they're so fun. Finlay is one that I have loved getting to know and the series was so much fun to dive into.

The third book of the Finlay Donovan series continues the zany, action packed antics of everyone’s favourite accidental crime solver. This book delivers a story with laugh out loud moments, clever twists, and heartwarming friendships. This instalment takes the chaos up a notch, sending Finlay and her trusty sidekick Vero to a police academy retreat that’s as absurd as it is dangerous.
As Finlay juggles her obligations to her children, her feelings for her swoon worthy cop love interest, and her determination to find a killer, the plot barrels ahead with implausible scenarios and offbeat humour. Yes, the premise may stretch reality at times, but the sheer fun and charm of Cosimano’s writing make it easy to overlook.
The dynamic between Finlay and Vero continues to shine, with their banter providing many of the book’s most memorable moments. I would like to see some more depth with Finlay’s romantic relationship however.
The mystery itself is fast paced and full of surprises, with enough twists and turns to keep readers guessing. While the scenarios may be far-fetched, the humour keeps me along for the ride. I would recommend this series if you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted mystery that you can escape to.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to review this book.
3.5 Stars rounded up

As I can by other reviews, this has also been my least favorite of this series so far. I think that the whole concept got extended a little past it's shelf life

Appreciate the ARC. The premise was strong, and there were parts I enjoyed, especially the pacing and a few standout scenes. Some characters felt more fleshed out than others, but it was an easy read with a clear plot. Not a favorite, but not a miss either.

I loved this book! Elle Cosimano delivers another hilarious, fast-paced adventure with Finlay Donovan that’s equal parts suspense and heart. The mix of motherhood chaos, mob intrigue, and witty banter had me hooked from start to finish. Finlay is a wonderfully relatable heroine, and the twists kept me guessing the whole way through. A must read for fans of smart, funny mysteries!

4 stars for book 3 in this wacky crime series. I have read the previous 2 books in the series and you should read them in order too, since each book ends with a lead into the next book. Finlay got involved with a vicious Russian mobster, Felix Zhirov, in book 1. He demands that she find out who is blackmailing him or he will kill her. She does find out, but not without some missteps, causing Felix to get angry with her. Hows she survives and finds romance made for an entertaining story. Her accountant/nanny Vero helps her navigate some very treacherous and dangerous pathways between Felix and the police, including a detective that is in love with her.
Thank You Minotaur Books for sending me this eBook through NetGalley.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is Elle Cosimano‘s third book in her clean mystery/thriller series, Finlay Donovan. It should be read after Finlay Donovan Is Killing It and Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead. The stories continue chronologically within a short time span and do not contain any profanity or descriptions of sex or violence.
31-year-old Finlay Donovan is a stressed-out single-mom of two and a struggling novelist, reeling from her ex-husband’s affair. Her life is in chaos as she juggles parenting two preschoolers while trying to find inspiration to meet her writing deadline. She is behind on all of her bills and frequently needs her ex-husband to bail her out financially. She is a hot mess with a lot on her plate, and she keeps getting into mayhem.
Finlay began a relationship with Nick, a handsome by-the-book police detective in Finlay Donovan Is Killing It. Things became dicey for her in Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead when the Russian mob put out a hit on her ex-husband. While Finlay was devastated by his betrayal, she didn’t want him murdered because he was still a good father to their children and frequently helped her out. So in the process of trying to save him, Finlay and her bestie, Vero, borrowed a luxury car which was destroyed in the melee. Now Finlay is indebted to the Russian mob for taking care of the car.
Feliks, the mob boss, contacts Finlay from jail with an assignment: find a contract killer.
It’s problematic because this killer might be a police officer. Since Detective Nick has started up a Citizens’ Police Academy, Finlay attends under the guise of research for her new novel. It’s tricky for Finlay to balance her desire to spend time with Nick while keeping him in the dark about her clandestine activities. Meanwhile she has two children to care for and a book to finish. Vero’s mysterious past surfaces, leading to a connected story, Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank.
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is a fast-paced, clean and hilarious story about a young mother whose life is in the toilet. The descriptions of motherhood are spot-on, while Finlay’s adventures are pure escapist comedy. It’s a definite page-turner that will leave readers begging for the next story. The Finlay Donovan series would make an excellent TV show.
I received an advance review copy (ARC) from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the complimentary e-ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This time Finlay and Vero go in citizen’s police academy that is lead by hot cop Nick. While doing some “research” for her new book, Finlay tries to find out who is a dirty cop and how to save her family from Russian mob.
At this point I will be following this fearless duo till the end. Finlay and Vero are full of surprises and solutions for almost any problem they run into. Humor, more development and history for beloved characters.

Just plugging away at this completely Bingeable series. This book definitely requires Suspension-of-disbelief for all the stuff that happens in it. Not my favorite so far but it was still Enjoyable.

Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Thank you, NetGalley and publishers.
Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is the third in the series. Finlay has written her character into a corner and she’s not sure how to fix it. Her real life isn’t much better. Her ex wants to get back together, her trusty friend Vero is keeping secrets, and she’s not sure if she can really trust Nick as much as she wants to. Surely a week at civilian cop boot camp will help with her writer’s block. But is her luck going to hold?

Another epic adventure with Finlay and Vero. Angela Dawe narrated and it’s the only way to go in my opinion. She has some different voices and so fun to listen.
Finlay and Vero are off for a week of civilian police camp. They are still trying to figure out who easy clean is and now they have to do it from dorms. These two are the modern day Lucy and Ethel. I love this series.
Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for a honest opinion. 3.75⭐️

I’m really enjoying the Finlay Donovan series, though this book was a bit of a mixed bag for me. While it had some unexpected twists and jaw-dropping moments, I felt like the story got a bit far-fetched at times. Still, the relationships, especially between Finlay and Vero, keep me hooked. Their antics, the suspense, and the humorous situations never fail to entertain. I loved the change of scenery and the new challenges they faced, but there were moments where the plot dragged a bit. Despite that, I’m still invested in the series and can’t wait for what comes next!

Definitely had no clue that was coming! Still enjoying this series! Loving the relationships & mysteriousness of everything. Really keeping me guessing! Vero also cracks me up 😂👏🏼 I don’t want to give too much away, but loving the romantic side of things right now. I really was waiting for something to happen. Loved the change of scenery in this book also & some of the shocking moments I was not expecting & my jaw definitely dropped!

This series is far fetched and ridiculous but in the best way. It works because this is just a fun time. This book takes place at a police academy so they are surrounded by a bunch of cops the whole time and they still get away with doing sneaky things. For the most part anyways.
I will say that this was probably my least favorite of the three books I’ve read so far. It just dragged a little bit and the overall storyline wasn’t as interesting as the first two. I still enjoyed it though! I still love Finlay and I still love Vero. Their friendship is the real gem of this whole series. I’m loving that Vero has a love interest now too.
There’s a novella next for Vero and I’m SO excited for it!

This one was my least favorite of the series so far. Honestly, the story just keeps getting more and more far fetched and Finlay is starting to frustrate me. I’m ready for something different and to jump ahead a little bit. Curious to see where Cosimano takes it next.

Decided to DNF this series. Was super excited to see what all the hype was about and wanted to binge it but I just don't think the cozy mystery is the genre for me sadly, though I do totally get why other readers love it so much!

Easy breezy, super funny and cute. I’m completely invested in this series. Finley Donovan is hilarious.

Excited to finally read these! Finlay Donovan is as good as everyone said it was, can't believe I waited this long.
Thanks to Netgalley for giving me a nudge in the form of free copies of previous books.

Nonstop laughs and suspense! Finlay and Vero are my Thelma and Louise! I love reading their adventures and all the crazy antics that this cast of characters get into. In this adventure they enroll in a citizen's police academy and the craziness continues. It has all of the new and old characters that we have come to love. I can't wait for the next installment :)

This is book two in the series and I absolutely loved this book! I hope there are 10 more books written in this series. I love the character of Finley, this book has her doing some detective work and trying to dodge two men who are trailing her. Love how easy to read this book is.
