Finlay is back! Though did she ever really leave?
Book 3 in the Finlay Donovan series picks up right where book 2 ended off and doesn't skip a beat. There's plenty of rehashing and refreshing (which felt a little tedious at times) so no worries if it's been a minute since you've heard from our old pals Finlay and Vero. I do recommend reading the prior two books and not picking this up as a standalone as you'll miss quite a bit.
The shenanigans remain at an all time high and if you enjoyed the humor from the first two books, you're sure to feel right at home.
While this book was entertaining and fun, I've had enough of this series, or I at least need it to turn another page. The entire series spans a very short few months so while so much happens, no time passes at all. You really need to be able to suspend all sense of believability to thoroughly enjoy these books and I just couldn't do it.
The book ends on quite the cliffhanger, confirming your suspicion that this series will continue. I don't think I need to include any future books on my TBR unless I hear it takes a major turn as this storyline has been well and wholly played out for my taste, but if you loved the prior two books, don't let me dissuade you!!

This is my favorite Finley book yet!!
Maybe I liked it because there was less overall action, but still over the top antics. Or maybe I liked it because there was less of a love triangle, and more of some burning love answers.
Or maybe I liked it because while one question was answered, more questions came up.
Who knows the exact reason, I just know that yet again - Finley finds herself in sticky situations, but always manages to wiggle her way out, and by this point - we know there’s going to be some out of this world luck, chance, circumstance, whatever you may have it, to help her along the way.
I still don’t fully trust Vero, and find her harming Finely more than she helps her, but that’s a conversation for the next book! I can’t wait!
Thank you NetGalley for my advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review!

I love Finlay Donovan, I will read any book about her ever. As these books go on, they get more and more unrealistic so if you're okay with that, this book definitely didn't disappoint. If you can't get passed the blatant mistakes and dumbness portrayed by all characters, don't even pick it up, it will bother you. This book is super quick and it really feels like it fits in with the other 2 books well.
Fingers crossed Elle Cosimano blesses us with more Finlay Donovan for many years to come!

ack with all the same great characters we love, 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗻 finally gives us more of Vero's story! She remains my favorite character in this series with her quick thinking, perfectly timed one-liners, and, yes, accounting background.
I attempted the audio this time, but I ended up going back to the e-book. Vero didn't sound like I envisioned after reading the first two. It was 100% a "me" problem.
Highly recommend reading the prior books before starting this one as it picks up right where the last ended. With the love triangle closure, this may be my last Finlay Donovan book. I'm not usually one to read series as it is SO hard to top the first.
Thank you to @netgalley @macmillian.audio @minotaur_books for an advanced copy. 3.5 stars rounded t0 4.

The third book in the Finlay Donovan series and I wasn’t disappointed!
Is this series absolutely ridiculous? Yes!
-But I can’t help but love each and every book in this series.
This might be the only series I’ve read that leaves me laughing the entire way through each book. Mostly because-Vero! Shes the best sidekick!

This is book three in the series, and I’m happy it won’t be the last one! Finlay has gotten herself into a sticky situation with the Russian mob that’s blackmailing her to find the identity of a hired assassin. If she doesn't, her past will catch up with her, and secrets will be unearthed. Vero, her partner in crime/nanny/ seems to think their target is a cop, so they’re thrust into an intensive citizen’s police training academy, which pushes them to their limits. Will the skeletons in their closet be exposed once and for all?
This series never ceases to surprise me with every twist and turn. It’s a funny and enjoyable read!

Yet another fun installment in a fun series. Elle does not miss on this one. I will continue to follow Donovan until she reaches the end of her journey.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun was amazing!! In this book Finlay and Vero head to police officers camp with a hit man on their tails. What could be more fun than obstacle courses and steamy escapades with a hunky cop?

I've loved all of the Finlay Donovan books and this one was no exception. Finley and Vero are back and up to more shenanigans in their efforts to thwart and get the bad guys. Their stay at a police training academy does not go as planned, but I can't wait to see what the future holds for Finlay and hot cop Nick! Another fantastic addition to the series and the audiobook narrated by Angela Dawe is the perfect way to enjoy it!!

4.5 ⭐️
I feel like whenever I read series, the books usually tend to get worse the more books there are, but that’s definitely not the case for this series!! Book 3 was just as great and entertaining as the first two. I love how far all the relationships have come and I’m looking forward to what happens next in Atlantic City!

Book 3 Totally redeemed the series! I don’t think a series was even warranted, since book 1 was fantastic and could’ve stood alone. Book 2 was disappointing and near empty. But I felt like I really got the FD feel again in book 3!

FINLAY DONOVAN JUMPS THE GUN is the third book in the series, and while it was my least favorite, I still enjoyed it!
Finlay and Vero are tasked with finding and identifying a contract killer before the cops do — but the problem is, the killer might be a cop.
I loved being back in the world of Finlay and Vero. Their banter cracks me up, and it’s always fun to see what insane scenarios they find themselves in. I probably should have re-read books one and two because there were definitely some details I didn’t remember.
I wanted more from Finlay’s and Vero’s friendship because that is truly one of my favorite parts of the series. However, having them attend a police academy training where they use their time to sleuth added an intriguing element.

Finlay Donovan is back again and was just as hot of a mess as ever. I significantly enjoyed this new installment and loved the new setting we had with the police academy. Was everything a bit too convenient for Finlay? Yes but that is how her life has worked for all 3 books. I love the never ending saga of her love life, her book, and her wild ex-husband.
I loved the new focus on Vero and how we get to see more of her life and her story. I am really looking forward to seeing even more of how her role will play out in the next book. I hope she gets everything she wants because I really enjoy her as a character.
While I did get a bit confused on the story line it was still enjoyable to read. There were so many red herrings and twists and I got lost on a few plot points and who actually did what. But overall, I still highly recommend this series!
Thank you NetGalley and Minotaur Books for my advanced copy!

I loved the first Finlay Donovan book - it was original and funny with a fabulous premise. When it ended with a cliffhanger, I couldn't wait for book two but unfortunately, I found the follow up lacking. But I'm excited to report that book three won me back. You can't jump into this series cold but if you were ever a fan of Finlay, you'll want to give this one a read.
Thanks to Minotaur for the copy to review.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 stars rounded down
This is the third installment of Finlay and Vero's usual antics. As always, it was a comedic, easy cozy mystery. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of Elle Cosimano's books and this one was no different. The storyline continues, however, the reason this book isn't a higher rating for me is that the plot is getting dragged out a little too far. While I still was interested in this book, I don't know how the 4th book will end up.
I do enjoy the banter and characters in each book. I also love that Nick and Finlay are expanding their relationship in this book. I did listen to the audiobook along with reading the physical version. Overall, I would recommend this series to any mystery lovers.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC of Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun by Elle Cosimano.
I'm pretty much done with this series now. It was fun at the beginning, but when I literally feel like I could open any of these three books at just about any spot and be in the exact same place, it's time to tap out. Some books should really remain a stand alone.

Another fun addition to the Finlay Donovan series! The nonstop wacky situations continue to amuse as Finlay and Vero take part in a citizen's police academy, looking for the identity of Easy Clean in the process.

Finlay and Vero are back! This is the third book in the series and I do think it would be wise to read the second book in the series before this one as there are many characters from that book that are mentioned in this one. I found this book to be full of completely unbelievable, non-stop action that is fantastically enjoyable. Add in guaranteed laughs and giggles that are signature to Finlay and Vero's partnership, and steamy scenes with hot cop Nick, and you've got the makings of a great book to escape from reality. Will there be a fourth book? I hope so!
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Finlay and her sidekick, Vero are my absolute favorite team! I was so excited to see what shenanigans they would get into for this book.
Finlay finds herself “owing” a favor to the Russian mob. They want her to find a contract killer and kill him/her. After realizing the contract killer may be a police officer, Finlay and Vero come up with a brilliant idea: Join the local police academy to find the killer. Of course, this idea was as easy as they thought.
This series is an absolute blast to read. Finlay and Vero, her “accountant/nanny”, are hilarious together. The mystery is OTT of course, but that’s the fun in this series. I’m already highly anticipating book #4, which I hope is in the works after another cliffhanger ending!
Thank you to Minotaur Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 New To Me Stars
I must be one of the few who hadn't been on the Finlay Donovan series train. I was fortunate to receive this and it totally introduced me to all the fun. The characters are engaging and the writing captures so many moments. It made me go and click click the other books.
