I'm not sure what I love more about this book the mystery or the comedy. There are just so many elements of surprise and entertainment throughout this series. If I'm not laughing at the comedic relief, I'm Infatuated with the romance. I admit, before receiving an arc of this book, I had never heard of Finlay Donovan. In course of a week I finished the whole series including this book. The cliffhanger on this book left me wanting for more and I'm excited to see what the next book holds.

This book was my favorite so far in the Finlay Donovan series. It’s funny, it’s fast pace and the romance component was more present that previous books.
Would I put my life on the line for Nick? Yes, yes I would.
These books are SO fun, quick and easy reads! Thank you, this will most likely make it in my top 5 of 2023.

Finlay and Vero are always hilarious characters thrown into crazy situations. I loved the second book but unfortunately, Finlay’s most recent adventure was a bit underwhelming. I could appreciate a good twist though and this book had that!

From the very first pages of "Finlay Donovan is Killing It," I knew Finlay and Vero would become my newest and favorite comedy act in modern literature.
There is just something so endearing about these two women.
Despite trying very hard, they just keep finding themselves in these awkward, messy, ridiculous situations and somehow still look cute at the end of it all. They are funny, oddly relatable, and unlikely heroines and it's just one of those "I can't look away it's so entertaining" scenarios.
While "Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun" doesn't read as easily or rip-roaringly as the first, this third installment of (what I am now calling) "The Mis-Adventures of Finlay and Vero" (IYKYK) was everything I hoped for in re-visiting the crazy antics in the world of Finlay Donovan.
I will keep reading anything Elle Cosimano writes; she's got me hooked!

Well I had super high hopes for this book, but I could not for the life of me get into it. I can’t pinpoint what it was that kept me from getting into it, but it started right from the beginning and the more I read the more I was not interested. And the non interest turned into me not paying attention and then the book made no sense to me because I was not able to follow it.
This book has great reviews, I would definitely still give it a try. It just didn’t work for me.
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for a copy of this book on exchange for my honest opinion.

I really love the Finlay series, and this third book had me laughing from page one. Although this wasn’t the strongest of the three books so far, it was very enjoyable and set up the story well to continue. I can’t wait to read the next!
Big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC of this novel!
3.5/5

This madcap (?) crime novel is number 3 in the series of adventures of Finlay- single mom accountant/ private eye- and her assistant crime-fighter/ nanny, Vero. There are laugh-out-loud moments as there were in the first two installments, and some romance too. If you enjoy your mystery series cozy but a bit edgy, you may find joy in the antics of Finlay Donovan.

The third instalment in the Finlay Donovan series! Without giving too much away from the first two books (this one would be hard to read as a stand-alone!) we pickup with Finlay and her trusty partner in crime Vero as they try to find the identity of assassin for a certain Russian mobster…
I love popping back into these books!!! It’s stepping back into something familiar and it’s always so enjoyable. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once again; the friendship between Finlay and Vero is what always is a best selling point of this story for me! Not every series that involves a romance (this one still does btw) has to have that as the focal point relationship!
The mystery in this one is just as entertaining as the first two books (I went back and forth a lot on who it could be!) but of course, we are left wanting more with the set up to another book in the series.
Elle Cosimano writes like she’s telling a friend this story which is why I enjoy it so much. It’s so witty and sweet! She also calls out a lot of cliches you often see in books as a way to add to the comedy of the plot and I always find that fun as well!
Can’t wait for book 4!!! Love this series

This book felt a little bit more far-fetched than the first two, however Finlay and Vero are still adorable together and funny as ever. As with the first two books, Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun ends with a cliffhanger and I'm glad to know that our dynamic due will be back again for round four.

Yessss! Finlay and Vero are back and it is SO good! The first half was a little slow (but I still enjoyed it) and then holy cow the action picked up and I couldn’t stop reading! I need a book 4 immediately 😂😍

I was so excited to start reading this after the cliffhanger of book #2! I love the bond between Finlay and Vero so getting to read about them again made me so happy. Something about Elle Cosimano's writing really keeps me entertained. Despite some crazy and unrealistic scenarios.. its just what I need when I need to unwind from my day. This series has taken me out of reading slumps 3 times now- and I am SOOOO looking forward to book #4 with how this book left off! At least I'm hoping there will be a #4.

The third installment of the Finlay Donovan series follows Finlay and her trusty nanny/accountant/literal partner in crime as they try to avoid trouble with the Russian mob by tracking down the secret identity of easyclean. The two learn about a civilian police training weekend and decide is the perfect opportunity to vet the police force since they have it on good authority that easyclean is a member of the force. But like any other mission for these two, there are plenty of hiccups along the way.
As always, I loved this book. I actually think it is my favorite in the series! I loved how it came together, I love Fin and Nick FINALLY getting together, and I loved the ending being open for a fourth book of the series!
Thank you Netgalley for an arc of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

This entire series is hilarious. I can not get enough of Finlay and all of the characters in this book. This was just as quick witted and sharp as the last two.

Of course I enjoy the characters and the plots HOWEVER after 3 I am wondering how long this will go on for? I think I'm ready for something new.

A big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press/Minotaur Books for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads okay. This is cute but I wasn't sure what the plot was exactly. The characters were quirky. I liked it but I liked the first one better. 3.5 stars

I’m all done with this series. I loved the first book, but DNF’d the second and didn’t love this third installment. It feels like the same basic problem is just being stretched out continuously so Finlay doesn’t have to do anything else criminal (other than sneaking around). There were some scenes in her I enjoyed (in the last 1/4), but so much of it felt like explaining the situation (that I assumed happened in an earlier book).

I loved it! Elle Cosimano does a great job of reminding you where the story left off without too much preamble. I love how she mixes the characters history with jumping right into the action so you don’t feel bored by the reminders. Watching Findlay and Vero’s friendship hit new depths was great and loved all her vulnerable moments with Nick!

While nothing will beat the fun and joy of the first Finlay this is still a comfort series and just a great finale to FInlays story.

Finlay Donovan is back again and she and her sidekick are still up their mischievous chaos. This is still the outlandish, fun story that the other books have.!
I love how Vero and Finlay always get in mischief and I love Finlay and Nick's relationship and banter. Of course though when her ex-husband Steven is around you know their will be some tension with him and Nick.
I did not believe this one left in a cliff hanger! I now need the next one to come out because this is all I will be thinking about until the next book comes!
Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's for the ARC in exchange for my honest review

Finlay is back with her sidekick Vero. They have been assigned by Feliks to find out who is out to get him and eliminate them. Fortunately for Finlay, she has never actually murdered anyone but in regards to Feliks unfortunately, she is in a predicament. To top everything off, she finds out that Vero is a fugitive in Virginia for an alleged theft and owes a loan shark in New Jersey a significant sum of money. In short, she's back in another predicament and somehow ends up signed up for a police bootcamp as research for her novel. Finlay needs to submit her next novel to get paid but she has writer's block and needs to figure it out so Vero pushes them into doing this so she can get past it. Nick, her love interest, who is a cop is helping run this police bootcamp. All manner of havoc ensues as Finlay and Vero try not to get implicated in any of the crimes that certain people think they committed. Finlay also gets past her fear of being with Nick. It feels like there is still much more left in this series because the reveal at the end and the ensuing cliffhanger leave lots of questions to be answered. I've also enjoyed Finlay's story but it feels like it's getting a bit too complex now. It was still a fun read with all the messes that Finlay and Vero get themselves into.
