Another fun Finlay Donovan tale. This time, she and Vero end up at a weeklong Citizens Police Academy, conveniently led by hot cop Nick. They're "researching" for Finlay's book, while also trying to find Easy Clean's identity.
I adored the opening scene with her toddler, Zach. Finlay's kids are awesome. This book was more fun than the last one, and I liked that they were supposed to be confined to one location.
Finally there's a bit more romance or at least the possibility, for Finlay, Vero, and Georgia.
Looking forward to the next story.

Flew through this whole series. Really enjoyed the plot and the banter with the characters. One of my favorite reads this year.

This might be my favorite so far - I’m totally obsessed with this series and love our main characters. Vero is the BEST sidekick and I love her to death. While I felt like the stakes were getting higher in the last book, I definitely felt a peak in this book with new characters being introduced more complexity - just a whole new level all around! The setting was interesting and definitely felt different from the first two books, but it helped contain the story and keep things moving in an interesting way. I love the drama and trying to figure out what was going on and definitely felt some surprises along the way. All I have to say is we love Detective Nick!!!

This was the most ridiculous one yet, but still enjoyable.

I appreciated learning more about Vero and her troubles, her gambling issues just seem so farfetched. The police academy for citizens seemed a bit much as well. I definitely have to suspend disbelief while reading these books. Having said that, though, the mystery was very good. Cosimano does a great job of creating suspense and surprise in a mystery, and the reveal is always a great scene. I’ve yet to “solve” a mystery and figure out all the clues before Finlay does. That and the funny characters is what keeps me returning to this series.

I love this series so much and I loved how this book took us to a whole new place compared to the first two books in the Finlay series. This felt like a different kind of mystery book and it worked so well. The new location was exciting and made everything feel a bit more high stakes. I also loved how many more side characters we met along with our original cast and seeing so much more of Vero. As a romance reader too, the scenes between Finlay and Nick were some of my favorites and I can’t wait to hopefully see more of them as the series goes on.

Finlay and Vero are still wonderful characters, but this is probably my least favorite book in the series. Even though a lot of major things happen, it still felt like it was a rushed placeholder to get to the 4th book. Worth reading if you are following along with the series, but not as strong as the others.

Unfortunately I am not interested in continuing this series after the first two books. Thank you to the publisher for sending me an advance copy of this title,

I gotta say, I truly enjoy a Finlay Donovan story! I know Finlay is always going to provide entertainment, mixed with moments that make me laugh, while still causing me to panic. And this one did not disappoint!

Middle of the series books always are harder for me to review than anything other series position, just because so much of the book relies on spoilers and details from the previous ones but also because it’s built to just continue the story and that’s exactly what this one did. I struggled to want to read this one and stay hooked, but it was easy to pick up and put down as I read through it never once felt lost.

I loved all the police academy scenes that added a fun level of suspense while also adding in little tasks and trials was so much fun! I’m also happy we’re seeing more of Finlay and Nick and their relationship develop and I’m so curious how it’ll continue to play out especially as more and more of Finlay’s secrets are revealed!

Thank you to St Martin's Press and Minotaur books for the reader copy of this novel!

In the third installment of the Finlay Donovan series, Finlay obviously has found herself in a rather stick situation (yet again). It seems that every time she gets herself out of one disaster, she falls into another all while dealing with life as a single mother. After just narrowly saving her ex-husband's life, she now is under a mob boss', Feliks, thumb and must do what he says after he bailed her out of grand larceny. To make things more complicated, Feliks has tasked Finlay with discovering the person who was trying to kill her husband from book 2... and she's pretty sure this killer is a cop. Diving in head first as she always does, Finlaye ends up in a week-long citizen academy lead by the steaming-hot cop, Nick. Finlay must balance the tight rope of finding the killer, complete her police academy classes, and keep Nick at a distance so he can't figure out what is really going on around him. Along the way we learn more about side characters, and even meet a few more that really added to this world.

The further this series goes, the more I enjoy the characters. I do think for this entire series you have to see the humor it in and have a bit of suspended disbelief for the wildly outlandish situations Finlay and her faithful sidekick, Vero, end up in. I came for the mystery and stayed for the developing love story between Finlay and Nick, the undeniable growth in Finlay, and her found family.

I cannot stop reading this series. I need to know what is going to happen next with the adventures of Finlay and Vero. I do have to say I am glad that Steven was not too present in this book. I find him too whiny for my liking.
I had to laugh at Finlay and Vero going to a cadet police training with all they have done. There were a few more twists and turns than I was expecting. I cannot see where we go from here.

You can always expect lots of laughs and ridiculousness with Finlay Donovan and the gang. In the third installment of the series Finlay is dealing with the Russian mob. Add in that her and Vero go to a police academy and have to dodge Nick at every turn, it is a laugh out loud comedy. I would recommend this book.

This was my least favorite of the series so far, but it was still an utterly addicting read. The setting (primarily at cop camp) was a fun departure from the previous books and gave us all new challenges. Plus, I love that Vero is starting to get her own side quests and love interests. I have a hard time sometimes with how many bad choices Finn and Vero make, but I just can’t stop reading!

This is the third book in the Finlay Donovan series written by Elle Cosimano.

EasyClean is still out there and Feliks wants him found. Findlay, Vero, and Mrs. Haggerty are on their way to a citizen’s police bootcamp. As usual, the zaniness continues, the improbable occurs, and there are tight situations. I always enjoy my trips to visit Vero/Findlay and the crew.

Thank-you Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to binge read the series to date. These are my own opinions and I am not required to leave a positive review.

This wasn't the strongest installment of the series, but it was still entertaining. I just really love Finlay and her compatriots, and Cosimano continues to do great work in developing them as characters as the series goes on. (Vero, my QUEEN.) Despite the fact that the plot isn't as solid as its two predecessors, I still laughed out loud for much of the book, and was kept engaged by the twists. Onto the next!

Thank you NetGalley for this copy of Finaly Donovan. I had read the first book when it first came out and instantly fell in love with Finlay and Vero. I was happy that all of the books became available to read (instead of buying or getting from the library). The second book Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun was great. A lot of fun. I cannot lie, it did take me about 25% to get back into Finlay and Co.'s world but once I was there I was along for the ride. I look forward to continuing the series. Thanks again!

This is the third book in the series.
With every book I find myself reading it in one or two sittings. I love the humor, I love the story, and I absolutely love this series.
I have no negative feedback.
