Firstly, I am a BIG Elle Cosimano fan!!! When I went into this book, I didn't know how it would measure up against the last two (the second one was my favourite!), but omg this book is everything I could ask for. It has humour, suspense, friendships, an annoying ex-husband, a hot cop, a delicious lawyer (he truly has my heart... sorry nick) and SPICE!!! I really enjoyed this book not just because of the "guess who" plot but because I genuinely like the characters and was invested in learning more about them. The only part I hate is that I now have to wait until I see how the cliffhangers turn out.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is another entertaining book in the series.

You just never know what Finlay and Vero will be getting up to, the trouble they will get themselves into and out of (though its close at times).

Book 3 does not disappoint as Finlay and Vero try to find out the identity of Easy Clean who just happens to be a hitman.

Perhaps its a police officer so off to they go to attend a citizens program at the Police Academy.

I cheered for the girls, I laughed with them and at them and I tried warning them to no avail.

The ending is perfect and leaves you eagerly anticipating Book 4 in the series.

Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for a highly entertaining read.

Back again!!! I truly love this series so much. Finlay Donovan is the anti-hero we all want to be. Hilarious, thrilling, sexy, I loveddddd this book! Finlay is back and she and her live in nanny Vero both have issues. The third book in this series takes place at a citizens police camp because, why not! Her steamy romance with Detective Nick is back and they are hotter than ever. Gah, I just love these books! I want 10 more!

Finlay and Vero are back with more plans, more chaos and even more danger in Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun. The third installment in the series picks off pretty much where the second book ends. Finlay and Vero need to get rid of their competition or become victims themselves.

While I do think this is the slowest book in the series so far it does the most to expand Finlay's universe. Jumps the Gun introduces new characters with their own plot lines and also brings back some familiar faces that readers will love but also dread. Taking this wide cast of characters to a new setting of a police academy adds the prefect amount of tension and entertainment to the mix.

The heart and success of the Finlay Donovan novels for me really lies in the dynamic duo of Finlay and Vero. Their relationship and banter is what most of the books seem to be built on and I really enjoy that. The two are back in action in full force once again and they had me laughing way too many times reading this. I was also glad to see the love triangle finally end for the most part. It was nice for a bit, but Nick really does seem like the best choice for Finlay and I enjoyed getting to see more of him this installment and how their relationship started to blossom.

This book ends on a very clear cliffhanger and I can't wait to read what Cosimano comes up next for Finlay and her crew. I would read 50 Finlay Donovan books given the chance and I look forward to seeing her world brought to life on the screen.

I loved this one as much as, maybe even more than, the first two. It was fun, unrealistic in a perfectly realistic way (does that makes sense?). Finlay and Vera get themselves into impossible situations that no one would be able to manage, and yet they do. Of course it ends on of a cliffhanger, so we know a 4th book is coming. Number 4 will be at the top of my list when it is released!

Same craziness and laugh out loud moments as the other books! Not much more to say here, if you enjoy this series, you’ll love this one as well!

This one didn't quite live up to the previous books in the series. It felt like a little more filler with the ridiculousness and situations being dragged out unnecessarily long at times. I'm so glad with the direction the romance went in this one. The love square is over, thank goodness!! This was still a good read overall and it definitely follows in the same vein as the other Finlay Donovan books so readers who like all of the shenanigans should enjoy this one too.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun is the third installment of the Finlay Donovan series following lead character, Finlay, and her sidekick, Vero. Although he is in prison, mob box Felix is still using his outside connections to pressure Finlay into finding the contract killer who goes by Easy Clean. She learns that Easy Clean may be tied to the police force, and her snooping leads her back into the arms of her former fling and hot cop, Nick.

Book number three continues the adventure of the first two books, but Finlay and Vero are more experienced in their undercover work. As a result, they utilize more advanced methods to find Easy Clean and trust their instincts to piece together clues from their interactions with the police force. This leads to some heart-thumping moments that also made me laugh. I wanted Nick and Finlay to get together, and the constant prodding from Vero on the subject was very entertaining. This book is great for anyone who enjoys suspense paired with funny and smart leading women!

Finday and her sidekick, Vero,, have indeed jumped the gun! It's another fun romp with Cosimano's deft mix of action, romance, and mayhem.
I won't bother to recount the plot, which others have done much better than I could. Yes, their actions cross the line from zany to . . . um, not quite believable, but---
But after the year or two or three we've all had, I need this entertainment more than usual.

I enjoyed the first two Finlay Donovan books and was excited to see that a third book would be released. However, I didn’t enjoy this book nearly as much as the other two. I’m always ready to suspend my disbelief and didn’t have an issue doing so with the first two books, but with this one many of the situations were just too out there for me.
Also, there were too many characters and it eventually got to the point that I could just barely keep track of what was happening and was just ready for it to be over. All in all, I didn’t dislike this book but I also didn’t like it very much.

Sadly, this is my least favorite installment of the Finlay Donovan series. While it was equally as binge worthy as the first too, it left a lot to be desired.

I was hoping for a departure from Vero’s money issues and Steven being a sad simp. Sadly not. We got more of both plus even more characters to keep track of.

I still recommend it, but if you were hoping for new plots - they remain with the same villains.

Another fantastic installment in this series!

Finlay and Vero back at it and they had me chuckling all the way! I absolutely love this series and this book did not disappoint. Like it’s predecessors it’s full of hijinks and laugh out loud situations.

If you’ve never read any of the books, I highly recommend it. It’s fun and flirty and it’s how a great cozy mystery is done!

Finlay and her sidekick, Vero, are back to getting themselves in ridiculously dangerous, and fun, situations.

Shortly after the events in book #2, Finlay finds herself “owing” a favor to the Russian mob. They want her to find a contract killer and kill him/her. After realizing the contract killer may be a police officer, Finlay and Vero come up with a brilliant idea: Join the local police academy to find the killer. Of course, things don’t go as smooth as they had hoped.

This series is an absolute blast to read. Finlay and Vero, her “accountant/nanny”, are hilarious together. The mystery is OTT of course, but that’s the fun in this series. I’m already highly anticipating book #4, which I hope is in the works after another cliffhanger ending!

Thank you to Minotaur Books and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Expected Publication Date: 1/31/23.

Finlay is back! And this time she’s trying to get her life together, and she has simple resolutions and deadlines: find a killer, evade a loan shark, eat healthy, and don’t murder anyone.

Easy, right?

Oh well…

My favorite part of finlay’s books is Vero. She’s amazing!!!
Also, the romance … is out of this world good. Elle is basically torturing us with the slow development romance lol

Elle could write twenty books in this series and I’ll read them all. The books are fun, mysterious, and just a tiny little bit dark (the perfect amount, I’d say, for a person that’s not into super heavy dark mysteries.)

Book # 2 of the series is still my favorite but this one is very close!

If you haven’t read this series, I HIGHLY recommend it! It’s a humorous mystery series where Finlay and Vero are the perfect duo. Their shenanigans will have you laughing through their adventures.

I liked this one better than the second because it felt more realistic to me. The new setting of a policy academy fit so well into the story, and Vero’s competitiveness was relatable 😂.

Now…there were A LOT of characters. I had a hard time remembering who was who (all those bad guys and dead bodies 😂) and I was often getting confused because I couldn’t fully remember the 2nd book. Elle Cosimano does a good job trying to jog your memory, but I would definitely recommend reading it close to when you finish the 2nd.

I enjoyed the slow burn romance, and I might have even been yelling at the characters to just kiss already💋. With twists I never saw coming, and a suspenseful ending, this was definitely an enjoyable read!

This was definitely not my favorite of the series, but it still held my attention with funny mishaps.

Our favorite twosome is back! Vero and Finlay are talked into a week of civilian cop school. Could it be more perfect for our crime fighting girls? Of course, buildings catch are fire, people are unexpectedly injured and kisses are stolen.

I will say that I hope you remember books 1 and 2 before diving into this one. Thankfully, I read this with a group of wonderful ladies and between us we could piece it all back together. There are a lot of characters to remember and it appears they are going to be making appearances throughout the series.

The ending, of course, set us up for the next installment and I am excited to see what they get into next.

Whew! Talk about a trilogy. I really enjoyed the third installment in this series and I think it had everything we've grown to love about Finlay Donovan books—quirky characters, mystery and intrigue, and all around FUN. The craziness was there and even though I found the pacing off at points, I was just as into this one as I was the others. If you're looking for some suspense with some LOL funny moments and great characters, why haven't you picked up the Finlay Donovan books yet?!

Thank you to NetGalley, Minotaur Books, and Elle Cosimano for the advanced copy of Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun in exchange for my honest review.

Finlay and Vero are back in action! Was this my favorite of this series? No. Did I still get a kick out of it? You bet! In this installment, Finlay and Vero have to find out who Easy Clean is, and I have to say I definitely didn't expect it to be who it was! (No spoilers)

I have no doubt we will see Finlay and Vero again in another book, based on the way this one ended. I'm definitely looking forward to one mystery in particular being solved.

The Finlay Donovan series has quickly become one of my favorites of all time, I can't wait to see what Cosimano comes up with next!

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun will be on US bookshelves January 31!

This series just gets better and better! Cosimano has figured out the perfect formula for fun, engaging, suspenseful mysteries that leave you wanting more as son as you finish. Finlay and Vero are the dynamic duo who can do it all while caring for two kids, dealing with a stupid ex-husband, and trying to find new love with the guy who might put them both in jail for good.

Come for a mystery, stay for the wacky hijinks.
