This tarot books takes a more modern take on tarot, following the very popular spirituality trend. It has a lot of valuable knowledge. Again if this aligns with your values and tarot systems. It’s well written.

Being an aromatherapist who reads tarot and has an interest in herbs, teas and crystals, this book is a great one for me. I like bringing all together. While it’s not an encyclopedia of all things, it’s a great introduction for combining these and extending your skills as you transform. I would recommend this for a great introduction to the topics for anyone interested.

The Tarot Apothecary teaches the reader how to use the message of the Tarot as a holistic spiritual practice using aromatherapy, plants, meditation, and rituals. How to calculate your personal tarot numerology, blend essential oils, work with healing crystals, and understand the archetypes of the major arcana are discussed in this book.

In my honest opinion, I didn’t find this book very helpful. Combining numerology and tarot is nothing new, and the aromatherapy info wasn’t explained enough. I would have liked more archetypal information about the essential oils associated with each card. I think this could even have the potential to become an aromatherapy oracle card deck in the future.

A lot of the information in this book can be found in other books which is why I think the author didn’t bring enough originality to this topic. I don’t doubt that she has more insights and wisdom, and I would like to see her write another book that explores the intersection of tarot and healing more in depth in the future.
