This is a very relatable topic and it is presented in a way that actually feels helpful. I really enjoyed the book and find it an excellent resource for something that can very easily become overwhelming. Highly recommend.

The Sugar Jar asks readers to imagine a glass jar filled with sugar (that represents your energy) and explains how it can be drained (by lacking boundaries) and filled (by setting limits and showing up for yourself).

WHY IT MATTERS
Setting boundaries and protecting your energy is key to living a healthy and fulfilling life.

YOU'LL WANT TO READ THIS IF
•You want to come across wisdom and advice you'll likely revisit (have your highlighter ready!)
•You want personal stories, exercises, and affirmations that teach you to manage your energy
•You're looking for a unique, BIPOC perspective about boundaries and mental health

THE BOTTOM LINE
It feels like the author's personal stories belong in her own therapy session and the sugar jar metaphor feels redundant. For me, Cheyenne's Instagram account with bite-sized advice and wisdom has more impact.
