Why is this book as adorable as it is? It is a picture book that has verses that follow the boy around who has lost his teddy bear. The little boy is trying to find that lost bear in the middle of the night. During his quest to find this bear he meets new and unexpected companions. Monsters have been found but they are not those scary monsters that are under the bed. They are monsters that want to help find the teddy bear and understand that no one will have a comfortable sleeping without their teddy bear. So, they help look as well.

One night a boy embarks on a journey to find his lost bear. Along his journey he encounters many different creatures. They join him in the search for his beloved bear. The boy is not fearful of the mystical creatures, he welcomes the help and makes friends along the way. A fun new picture book kids will read over and over.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Rosen Publishing/Windmill Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a children's book. I found this to be a fun book, with very cute graphics. It even sort of rhymes. A missing bear with new friends that help you search. 4 stars

I thought this was really adorable. It is a picture book in verse that follows a boy who's lost his teddy bear and is trying to find him.

It's the middle of night, and as he's searching for his toy, the boy meets several unexpected companions. Though finding monsters in the dark might sound frightening, these monsters are well aware of how important teddy bears are, and that no one could possibly sleep without them. So they all try to help with the search.

I guess the book was meant to help children overcome their night terrors. My only concern is that it might backfire. All the monsters we met were super cute, but you never know with fears.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of Where is My Bear? by Darcy Coxall in exchange for an honest review.

I could see this being used by parents who are trying to get their child’s favorite toy in the wash. It was comforting to read. It had this fun, imaginative element but also this cozy feeling that everything was going to be alright. I believe many children will fall asleep to this book, with or without their fuzzy friends.

Where is my bear? is a really cute story to help children not fear the "monsters" that may be in their room. I loved the monsters having their own stuffed animals. It was a cute story and not scary at all!
