This book has been on my Netgalley shelf for years and I haven’t picked it up. No shade to the author or the book, I think my taste has just changed and I’m not the right person to review it anymore.

Loved this book! I always look forward to anything written by Falon Ballard and this one did not disappoint. I loved the aspect of watching the two main characters grow together, and the book held the perfect amount of cheesiness to enjoy as a romance. Highly recommend!

I loved every part of this book! From the competition to the tension between Seth and Lana, to the amazing supporting characters this book had all the feels. This is what a romance book should be!

I loved Fallon Boyle’a first book Lease on Love! This one did not hit the same high points for me. I found the characters a bit underdeveloped and the plot basic.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more! I loved this spin on How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! Lana, a journalist, who has never been single in her adult life has newly been broken up with when her high school sweetheart, Seth, comes back into her life. The two are pitted against each other in a bid to get a coveted journalist position at a parent company. Throughout the book Lana and Seth are confronted with their unresolved feelings for each other and their own internalized issues.

This book was A++++ I adore Fallon Ballard and enjoy reading her books. Full stop!

If you love pop culture references, this book is for you! Lana is such a shameless nerd — particularly for Star Wars — as she should be!

If you love reading about journalism, books or writing, this book is for you! I had so much fun reading about the behind-the-scenes process and conversations that happened throughout the book. There is a manipulative boss in the picture, however, so be aware if that is something that triggers you.

Fallon pulled me in with her debut, “Lease on Love,” and I continue to be hooked by her writing! I look forward to continuing to read through her backlist, as well as anything else she writes in the future.

fallon is such a good writer and I she makes me believe this characther are so real and I wish I could be besties with them. regarlless of their trauma its just something I love that they are able to overcome

This is lighthearted romance that brings a bit of charm to the workplace romance genre. The characters are likable, and the storyline is engaging, but it doesn’t quite reach its full potential. The chemistry between the protagonists is enjoyable, but there are moments when the pacing feels uneven, which affects the flow of the story.

While there are several funny and heartwarming scenes, some of the plot points feel predictable, and the character development could have been deeper. Despite these minor issues, Its still enjoyable read for anyone looking for a feel-good romance with a few laughs along the way.

I feel that despite it being well written, I couldn’t really connect with the characters nor the story. Once again, beautifully written, just not chemistry.

Second chance trope can be rough and this one fell flat for me. Didn't feel believable. And Lana felt immature for being 30. Also didn't like the single POV.

Just My Type by Falon Ballard, yet another romance that was just okay for me. I did not connect with the two main love interests. However, it was well written.

I am always here for a second chance romance that's angsty. I enjoyed Lana's character and could relate to the issues she had as a result of the relationship with her mother. Seth with his kind heart and swoony gestures was the perfect match for Lana. Overall a really enjoyable romance.

This was fun! Loved the EX's to Lovers aspect! I hardly read that! The banter was a joy to read! It's a great book!

I waited far too long to read and review this book. I regret every minute that I was not spending with Lana and Seth on their heartfelt and beautiful adventure. I typically don’t read second chance romance, but this one was done really really well. I can’t wait to tell all of my friends about this gorgeous book and will also add it to my physical shelves soon. This one was an unexpected 5 star read for me.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a heartfelt romance with a lot of introspection and personal growth for the characters!

I thought this was such a cute rom com story. I think that Lana and Seth are such great main characters. There were times where Lana was a bit annoying, but then she got better. I like how it was enemies to lovers and second chance romance and how they had to work together, but had to be competitive for a promotion. I love the banter between the two and how everything ended.

Our heroine, Lana, continues to make questionable choices in the romance department. When her ex-boyfriend Seth becomes her co-worker and competitor for a new assignment, things get complicated in both their personal and professional lives. Falon Ballard's unique writing style creates dynamic and swoon-worthy romances that jump off the page.

"Just My Type" by Falon Ballard is a charming and engaging romance that delves into the complexities of relationships and personal growth. The story centers on Lana, a journalist who struggles with being single, and Seth, her ex-boyfriend who hasn't had a serious relationship since they broke up at 18. The hijinks and rekindled feelings that follow are both entertaining and heartfelt. The characters are lovable and relatable, with their struggles and triumphs driving the story forward. I loved Falon Ballard's debut, Lease on Love, so I was really shocked when I had to keep forcing myself to pick up Just My Type. I am trying to get better at allowing a book to be a DNF when it is not clicking with me and I just could not get myself to care about Seth and Lana
