Like stepping into a fairytale, reading Once Upon A Royal Christmas took me on a journey into a winter wonderland where dreams could come true. Author Teri Wilson has created the magical kingdom of San Glacera, where everything in sight appears like a Christmas fairytale, complete with sparkling castles, picture perfect Christmas scenery and all the baking and accompanying drinks are evocative of Christmas.
While protagonists Gracie Clark, aka Princess Snowflake, and Crown Prince Nicolas Luka Montavan appear to be as unlikely a match as you could imagine, these two balance and complete each other beautifully. Gracie helps Nick to rediscover the joy of Christmas, Nick helps her to regain her self confidence. They make a lovely couple.
I really loved this light, joyous and fun Christmas story. It delivers a smile on every page.

Okay, I'm going to be honest here. This isn't the best book ever made AT ALL. However, it's just such a fun time that I just could not help myself from being absolutely giddy while reading this book. It's so incredibly cheesy, and cliche but it also is so cozy and fun. The romance is developed so well. It is a bit insta-lovey (but isn't that like a Christmas romance staple?) but I still got all the feels whenever our two leads had a moment together. I thought the third act conflict was quite realistic as well. I really just loved how overly Christmas this was and I do have a weak spot to fictional royalty. I also really loved our main character's party princess bussiness. I loved how passionate she was about it and the scenes where we see her in character are delightful. Yeah, I don't have much more to say. This was just a warm, christmassy hug.

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. Knowing that I do not like royal stories. I shouldn't have let the Christmas setting fool me. While this one wasn't for me the story itself was good as was the writing, so readers who enjoy a royal story will like this one.

Thank you NetGalley for this electronic copy.

This book has ALL the Hallmark film vibes, and I am totally here for it! It’s the perfect formula…snow, Christmas, a royal family with a fictional kingdom, a case of mistaken identity and a sweeter-than-sugar romance to melt even the frostiest of hearts!

Read this one on a comfy couch with a blanket and cup of tea handy. You won’t regret it!

Once Upon A Royal Christmas is a standalone novel by Teri Wilson. Gracie Clark, aka Princess Snowflake, has developed and grown her Denver business of Perfect Party Princesses, providing fairytale princesses for public performances and children’s birthday parties. While Gracie is quite proud of her business, and pleased at the autonomy her princesses have found by working this job, whether they be college students, homemakers, or single moms. However, the many banks Gracie visits trying to get a small business loan to expand business and afford benefits like insurance, have not seen her vision and have denied her requests.

Meanwhile, Gracie’s best friend and business partner Clara has come upon an interesting contest being run by the small county of San Glacera. The Royal Winter Wonderland Contest is being held by the royal family to promote tourism with a grand prize of an all expenses paid week stay in San Glacera with royal appearances and a $30,000 cash prize. However, not everyone in the royal family is onboard with the idea. While King Felix, Queen Livia, and Princess Emilie are big supporters, Crown Prince Nicolas is not. He sees the stunt as unworthy and feels it wasteful.

When contest winners Gracie and Clara arrive in San Glacera they are mesmerized by the beauty of the country and enamored with its people. Initially, although going along with the plan, Prince Nicolas isn’t thrilled with it. But as Nicolas and Gracie spend more time together, not only does Nicolas lighten up but he also forgets that it is a role to be played.

This is such a lovely holiday story of love, hope, and the magic of Christmas. With wonderful characters, including very strong women, and a magical setting, this beautifully scripted story is a breath of fresh, perhaps a bit frosty, air. I have read quite a few stories by Ms. Wilson and she never disappoints. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!

What can I say. It's Hallmark Christmas. It's magical, romantic, and full of all the feels. I really hope this one gets made into a movie.

Princess Snowflake is my favorite princess and I’m pretty sure my daughter would love her too! The romance that developed between princess Snowflake and prince Nikolas was so warm and rich like the hot chocolate from San Glacera. Such a beautiful story that’s perfect for this holiday season!

The story centers around Gracie, a princess -- party princess, that is. She trying (and failing) to come up with the capital to expand her princess party business, which she runs with her best friend, Clara. Not having much luck securing loans by traditional means, Clara enters Gracie into The Royal Winter Wonderland contest. The winner gets a stay in the fairytale-esque kingdom of (the fictitious) San Glacera and $30,000. Once she arrives, she meets the frosty Prince Nickolas, who is less than thrilled with the idea of the contest.

On the surface, this is a cute Cinderella retelling. It's predictable fluff, but there was more than that. The part I truly loved was how unrepentant Gracie was about being a character actor for children's parties. Too often, things geared toward women and children are viewed as not valid. Yet, she loves her job and sees her work as meaningful. Nick isn't the type of grumpy that leaves you having to put aside how awful he was initially to root for them as a couple.

The writing style is simple and straightforward, but the descriptions are picturesque. It was so easy to envision a snowy kingdom sitting foot of the Alps, complete with hot cocoa and a cozy chalet. The pacing was fine, although the ending came on very quickly. I would have liked to see a couple of loose ends wrapped up.

If you are the type who rolls their eyes at cheesy romcoms, skip this. However, if you look forward to over-the-top scenarios, snowy wonderlands, and happily ever after, this book is perfect. As this was published by Hallmark, it should surprise no one that this is a clean romance, so if you are searching for spice, look elsewhere.

Thanks to Netgally and Hallmark Publishing for a free copy of this ebook!

This was definitely cute and I enjoyed both main characters a lot. It felt really cheesy at times which I know is just Christmas Hallmark goodness but for me cheesy is better in movies and I think this will be a hit movie for sure.

What an amazing Hallmark romance! Princess Snowflake aka Gracie wins a contest to spend the holidays with the royal family of San Glacera. Prince Nikolas is known for being cold hearted after his ex spoke to the news outlets. Nick does not was Gracie there but is charmed by her anyways. This is a lighthearted Christmas Romance.

An absolutely perfect holiday read!

Once Upon a Royal Christmas was my first from Teri Wilson, but definitely not my last. I adored Gracie from page one and my love only grew as the story continued. Nick was my kind of prince. Abominable until he let Gracie in.

This story will definitely be one I go back to each holiday season!

I usually don't read a lot of romance novels, nor contemporary. But I am addicted to the Hallmark Christmas movies. Every year I can't watch enough of them. So this year I looked around if perhaps any Hallmark Christmas novels came to my attention. I pre-ordered Once Upon A Royal Christmas, found it on NetGalley as well and, to my surprise, I got accepted for an ARC.

Gracie Clark is a party Princess, with her character called Princess Snowflake. After winning a contest, she and her best friend travel to San Glacera for the Royal Winter Wonderland event. As part of the event, and to win the $30,000 prize, she is participating in various Christmas Events with the royal family as Princess Snowflake. And soon enough she rather avoids a specific member of the Crown as much as possible.

The last couple of years I became more of a vivid reader. With this story I noticed it again. Even though I was reading the story, I saw the scenery and setting playing in my mind like a movie. The descriptions and activities really get you into the Christmas season. Some felt a little out of place, as unneeded details or the use of unual words (that last part could be that it were words simply not used often for non-natives), but most descriptions were a happy welcome to enjoy Christmas throughout the story.

Something that really stood out to me was that the Christmas events weren't all the typical traditional events - not known to me anyway. It was nice to have a slight change and still have that same holiday feeling.

Just like in most Hallmark movies we get two points of view in the book, allowing insight in both main characters. You get to know them, like them, understand them. And also see where things go wrong, as usual. I always adore the ones with a bit of royal influence and the fact that Gracie is a 'commoner', but plays a princess for children, gave a nice twist to the usual commoner meets royalty.

I enjoyed the book a lot, a great Christmas read! 4.5 stars.
Thank you, Hallmark Publishing, for the advance reading copy!

Now looking forward to receiving my paperback copy I preordered a while ago. ;)

#BookRevew: ONCE UPON A ROYAL CHRISTMAS by Teri Wilson

Isn’t the cover beautiful? I enjoy Christian fiction but sometimes I just want a lighthearted wholesome story. This was a delightful romance. The European setting was picturesque and I wanted to be there as well. It was a story of love and happily ever after that left me with a good feeling. The characters were likeable and the banter, enjoyable. The Christmas market and activities were fun and cozy. Hallmark and royal fans will surely love this book.

I know this book was published by Hallmark so I'm not surprised about the coziness of it all, but this book truly felt like a Hallmark movie on paper. The writing was great, the chemistry between Gracie and Nikolas and while yes it's all a bit cheesy, it's also incredibly cute and fluffy. I need Hallmark to make the movie right now!

Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.
I'm sorry that Hallmark Publishing is closing.

Teri Wilson loves to write about sweet sweet love, especially when it's about 2 people from different parts of the world, but when they meet, there will be a lot of sparkles.
I just finish it last night and I enjoyed it. Curiously there was one thing that got stock with me: enjoy your life.

Desperate for funding to save her children’s party business, Gracie enters a contest to perform as Princess Snowflake at the winter festival of the tiny alpine kingdom of San Glacera. Against all odds, she wins. Not only that, she runs into a handsome stranger who turns out to be the crown prince. Though they have nothing in common, the attraction between them is electric. Can they find a way to be together?

This is the second book I've read by this author, and I loved it. It's a sweet, funny, heartwarming novel with a ton of personality.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A cute story typical of a Hallmark movie. Prince meets commoner through a royal contest. He's agreed to accompany her to royal events but can't see how a play princess can seem real. He's surprised to discover he likes Gracie the "Snow Princess" Pretty standard story but nonetheless enjoyable.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC eBook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Once Upon a Royal Christmas is a Hallmark book that features Gracie, a party princess that enthralls kids at childrens’ birthday parties, and Prince Nick, a “frosty” prince who just wants to live up to his deceased grandfather’s expectations. Unbeknowst to Prince Nick, his family hosts a Christmas competition and offers to host the winner in San Glacera, a small country near the Swiss Alps. Gracie’s best friend and business manager enters her into the competition, and Gracie wins. When their paths cross in San Glacera it is unlike anything either of them expected.

Gracie Clark runs a party princess company with her best friend Clara but is getting discouraged when trying to secure funding for an office space. Unbeknownst to Gracie, Clara enters her in a contest, which if selected, would solve all their problems.

Prince Nikolas arrives home in San Glacera after his yearly mountaineering trip, where he was completely disconnected from society, to find out about the contest his family is hosting. The contest winner, ‘Princess Snowflake’, will be joining his family for their Christmas festivities and will accompany the royal family for different events.

Playing a party princess for children’s parties is a far cry from rubbing elbows with real royalty—is Gracie up for the challenge? Will Gracie be able to melt the abominable Prince Nikolas?

I wait in anticipation every year for the list of Hallmark Christmas movies to be released, so that I can ensure that I don’t miss any. This novel did not disappoint! I can only hope that it becomes a movie at some point.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for allowing me to read an ARC of this novel. #NetGalley #OnceUponARoyalChristmas
