How far will you go to protect your family? Priya and Kavi's parents die in an accident, and Priya has to support them financially. Kavi becomes a little wild and soon Priya has to clean up her messes. Good solid read.

Priya works as a janitor and takes care of her younger sister Kavi. Kavi was out of control with partying until a tragic accident happened one night. Now they are being threatened with letters in the mail, and the sender doesn't want money. They want something much worse and the major question of the book is: will Priya risk it all for her sister even if it means she has to keep a dangerous secret?
I liked how the three women in the book had such a close bond with one another. This book made you think you knew what was going to happen, onyl to have it go in a completely different direction. Overall it was a great book and I would recommend it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

I was enticed with this story from the start the author has written a gripping plot. I loved the stalker vibes and the domestic thriller.

Aside from that it’s pure escapism and I loved the characters, though sometimes I found them infuriating at times, but it all comes together and they’re well developed and their actions make sense as the story goes on.

This was truly a gripping psychological thriller. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the story is set in an Indian society, exploring those themes of male dominance and class struggles. It captures your attention from beginning to end, making you wonder how far the protagonist is willing to go and how much she's willing to sacrifice to protect her sister.
The relationship between the protagonist and her sister is one that I was really looking forward to seeing the end of and it does conclude on a realistic note. The book does not shy away from the harsh realities of life and the abuse the characters suffer give us a better understanding of their mindset and choices to make them relatable.
Overall, the ending was satisfying and the book as a whole was very memorable with unpredictable twists and turns. One thing I found quite interesting was the fact that it ended in the same place it started. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something thrilling but also introspective.

This is a well-written suspenseful story about Priya's efforts to protect her younger sister Kavi. I was expecting the usual twisty psychological thriller but there was more to this story and the setting in India highlighted cultural issues of male dominance and subservience of women.

Aside from the good writing, well developed characters, intense plot, and many shocking twists, this story shows a lot of Indian culture which I very much appreciated. A darn good thriller.
