Thank you to the author, Kids Can Press and NetGalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was not familiar with the Gross Science series, but this book delivered and more. We all know that kids are endlessly fascinated by the topic of poop, and most of us are hesitant - or embarassed - about going into the topic in too much detail. This book will serve both groups well. Full of interesting facts, from health, animal facts, history to inventions, it covers more than you ever thought you wanted to know - and entertains you while doing it. The kids I read this with loved it, and so did I.

This silly but also informational non-fiction text tells about human waste and the digestive system. While it is silly and has funny illustrations it also has a lot of really great information. The book is about 30 pages long and has a fair amount of text on page, but it is fairly large and well-spaced. The book does use some toilet words like crappy but otherwise there is no uncomfortable content or language. The book has lots of great non-fiction text features including a glossary, diagrams and labels. As a grade 3 teacher, I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children in the age 7-11 range. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this book!

The title is straightforward and the book delivered exactly what it said it would.

I actually loved the facts and I am excited to share that there are bags of poop on the moon with my nephew

. Entertaining gross book that kids will love, but educational enough that adult figures will like

I appreciated this book and the way it explored deep into the bowels of science. Get it? Bowels? Anyway, this was a fun, gross book that children will love and learn a lot from.

My 8 year old son really enjoyed this book. He always finds poop humourous. I enjoyed that he was learning more science, even though I was grossed out.

What a funny book stacked with interesting facts! Anything you ever wanted to know about poop... and a lot more, haha!
Funny anecdotes and useful information not only for children. In fact, I doubt that children younger than 7-8 years old would understand most of it unless they are really into science.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Kids Can Press for this Advance Review Copy.

Oh Poop! This book is gross and full of interesting facts!

My kids thought this book was super funny, but learned a lot too. From health, animal facts, history to inventions, this book covers all facets and impact poop has on society. The illustrations are colorful and great as well since they have a comic-like drawing style.

Granted this book is aimed at kids, but I actually learned a bunch as an adult too and all the while being entertained!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing a copy of this ARC for my honest review.

As a homeschooling mama who builds our own science units - I feel like we’ve seen
It all.

Until today.

But this book was actually… fascinating. Neat. Informative. Nice illustrations to draw in my audience (4th and 2nd graders)

Excited to add this to our shelf in September!

Poop… who knew?
