The twisted tales books are always so fun! I thought the narrator did a great job with the different accents in the book and I really appreciate the bits of history and culture that are in the story!

This is a great new take of Disney's of the Princess and the Frog . Tiana makes a deal with the Shadow Man. It seems on the surface she'll have want she wants - but there's always a price to pay...

It was great to see more of Tiana's story. Her character was on point! I could envision her as the same person from the Disney movie. The interactions between her and Dr. Facilier. It felt like you were right there watching them. It was nice to read about her friends Naveen and Lottie , but I felt that they detracted somewhat from the flow of the story. The chapters with Naveen's narration lacked something. The story was well fleshed out and kept me interested until the end.

I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

If you know Disney's version of The Princess and the Frog, then you know of Tiana, Charlotte, Louis, Prince Naveen and of course, the shadow man. What if Tiana had made a deal with the shadow man instead of helping Naveen? What if she gave up love and principles to get her daddy back and her restaurant? It does seem a bit out of character for Tiana.... but she loves her daddy and it's a hard deal to turn down. When things get weird: fog, slime, bugs and people she cares for start to go missing, Tiana realizes that she's in over her head and heads to Mama Odie for help once again. Can Tiana right the wrongs? Can she let go of her father to save her friends? Her town? Read on to find out!

What I loved:
Dr. Facilier in all his con man glory - it's hard to hate him in this one
Louis gets his wish to be human and play for Tiana's restaurant
The haunting question: what bargain would you make to bring a loved one back to life?

An interesting alternate take on Disney’s Princess and the Frog. Loved revisiting these characters. Disney should make movies out of these Twisted Tales!
