ARC received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a celebrity romance, with MC Bristol, a famous singer who is tired of the fame, and Annie, an up and coming musician who is just starting to become famous through her YouTube channel. Annie also sings at the local hospital and is discovered there by Bristol’s agent. She then quickly secures a job as one of Bristols support acts for the remainder of the tour.

The two spend a lot of time together since they are touring together and a sweet romance unfolds, I enjoyed both characters, separately and together. There’s a lot of side characters, with Annie’s sister Sarah, niece Peyton and BFF Charley featuring on Annie’s side, while Bristol’s manager Lizzy features heavily (too heavily, a little of her went a long way) with her family also rounding things out.

The story is fairly enjoyable, but I felt it was hampered by seemingly endless repetition of whether or not Annie should sign with the record company that Bristol herself is wanting to leave and is helmed by Bristol’s ex, Sterling, who was so overtly sexually predatory that I couldn’t believe Annie would ever have wanted to sign with her. I also found the ending a bit rushed.

This isn’t my fave Bryant book (check out Listen, Jolt), but it’s an ok romance that Bryant fans should enjoy.

4 Stars. Annie Foster loves music and wants to play it full time. She is a jingle writer by trade and does open mics and YouTube streams. When she is asked to join Bristol Baines' tour after her manager sees her perform, she can only accept. It is a dream for Annie to play for big crowds and she wants to get more coverage for her music. What she did not expect on this tour is her attraction to Bristol and how she does not want to deny her feelings.

I really liked this book, more than I thought I would. I have read a bunch of books with the popstar storyline and thought I would not like this one. I liked the character dynamic between the two of them and how it built over the course of the book. My one complaint is that it could have been longer and that I wish there was more of the characters after the tour. I felt like it was rushed a little after their tour ended. I thought there was a lot of good tension in this book and it was well written.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. I am a huge fan of Kris Bryant, they are one of my favorite romance authors of all time. I loved the characters of Annie and Bristol, especially Annie. Annie made this book for me, her personality, her love of family, and her determination. What brought this book down for me was Lizzie, I still don't fully understand her motivations and why she did some of the things she did. I think if there was more of an explanation of why she interfered in every single thing in regards to Bristol I would have left with a better taste in my mouth. Instead I left with the knowledge that lizzie and Bristol's relationship is toxic and going to continue to cause problems in Bristol's life.

Another sweet story by Kris Bryant! I'm a sucker for a rock-star romance so this one was a no-brainer for me to request. I loved that MC's Bristol and Annie are roughly the same age, just at very different points in their music careers. Their chemistry was palpable and I was glad they made use of that tour bus :)
My only complaint would be it may have been a bit slow with the pacing, but I found the overall story and the characters really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend to my fellow romance-lovers!

This book centers around Bristol and Annie. Bristol is an international pop star while Annie is a local star who performs mainly at her friend's open mic night and also has a YouTube channel. Annie also performs at the local children's hospital where her niece is often at due to her cancer. Annie's sister also works there. When Annie is at the hospital, Bristol's manager is there as well for an infusion. She happens to hear Annie and tells Annie's sister that she wants to give her a call. Bristol is on tour and one of her opening acts had to drop out. The manager wants Annie to fill in for the last leg of the tour.
Annie accepts and what happens next is what romcoms are all about.
I really liked this book, but was saddened by how quickly it was wrapped up at the end.
I would recommend.

Serendipity is a super sweet romance between two singers at different stages of their career. Bristol is ultra-famous and while on tour, she employs Annie to be her opening act. Over time spent together on tour, they get to know each other and a romance develops. This is slow burn at its peak, but I really enjoyed the build up.

If you like celebrity romances with little to no angst, this book is for you.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for a copy of this novel. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book! Annie and Bristol had a lot of chemistry. Annie's love for music really shined throughout the book . Bristol's fame was preventing her from being truly happy and I'm glad Annie was able to be there for her. Whenever they sang a duet on stage, Bryant did a great job conveying their magnetism together. I did have reservations about Bristol's manager/friend Lizzy, but understood that she wanted to protect Bristol. We get to see the darker side of being a celebrity with the story, which propelled the drama. Overall, the story was enjoyable to read and I would recommend it to others!

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't a huge fan of this book. It honestly just wasn't for me and all of the characters felt really flat. I don't like giving low reviews for ARC copies but I had several significant problems.

2.5/5 stars

This was a really sweet romance, but not one that stood out to me. While a whirlwind romance on a musical tour was a fun setting for a romance, the characters were not as interesting as I had hoped. I didn’t really feel like I could connect with either our leads, so I very much felt disconnected from the story. Don’t get me wrong, there will still so many moments that I enjoyed and I think the romance was likeable overall, it just wasn’t as memorable to me as I would have liked.

I still really enjoy Kris Bryant as an author, so definitely excited to read more from her!

Readers will find Serendipity to be a good music romance. I have read many of Kris Bryant’s books and when I read the abstract for this book, I definitely put it on my “must read” list.

The two main characters are Bristol Baines and Annie Foster. Bristol is a superstar singer who has been in the business since she was a teenager. Her music is always at the top of the charts. At the start of this book, we find Bristol on an 18-month tour. She is exhausted, very lonely, and tired of the music rat race where she cannot go anywhere without being identified and hounded. Her recording company only sees Bristol as a money maker and does not care how she feels. Bristol wants to take a break, not renew her contract, and just be with her family.

Annie Foster works as a music jingle writer and as a hostess at her friend Charley’s coffee café. On open mic nights at the café, Annie, as a singer/songwriter, often performs. In addition, she also has an account on the YouTube channel where open mic artists are exhibited. As a singer, Annie has quite the following. She would love to perform on stage and jumps at the chance when she catches the eye of Bristol’s agent who is looking for a replacement singer on the tour. Annie is signed to perform for the remainder of the tour.

This story is an interesting one and different from other music romance themes. Bristol’s story is very sad, and Annie’s story is one of self-discovery of what success means and how to achieve it. The interaction between them is electric from the start. Although there is some angst between the two main characters.

If you are looking for a good book to snuggle up with over a weekend, consider Serendipity. I rate this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

This entertaining read provides a behind the scenes look at a successful pop star Bristol Baines and a potential up and coming, internet famous talent, Annie Foster. This cute romance presented two likable characters who wanted different things in life. Annie wanted in and Bristol wanted out. I really appreciated the supportive family and friends. I had a like dislike for Bristol's manager, Lizzy. The slow build romance was nice and fit well with Annie and Bristol. I also liked the low angst.

Well look...no author is going to have the best books, every single time. I'm a big Kris Bryant fan. I was not a big fan of this book.

I thought Bristol seemed like a wooden character. I liked Annie, but I also didn't feel like I knew much about her. A lot of their flirting and chemistry seemed to happen on stage in front of thousands of people, and then not much happened in real life for most of the book. I kept looking down to see how far along I was, and was shocked when I was like 60% of the way through and didn't feel like they had made any kind of real connection.

I don't know...I just wasn't feeling this one.

Serendipity is such an enchanting tale. I just fell in love with the characters, the story, and the romance between Annie Foster and Bristol Baines. Of course, I should’ve expected this since Kris Bryant is one of my favorite romance authors.
Annie Foster is very happy creating musical jingles during the day. She is also the hostess for Coffee and Chords, an open mic night at her best friend’s coffee shop, which is also broadcast on her popular You Tube channel in the evenings. She loves her music, her online fans, her friends and family, but sometimes she feels like there is something missing. Bristol Baines is at the pinnacle of her career. She has been in the music business since she was fourteen and is now at the top of the pop charts. She is so famous she can’t even walk down the street without security. Life should be perfect, but Bristol is not really happy. She is lonely, and she wants a fresh start. The two meet when Annie is asked to substitute for an opening act in Bristol’s musical tour. The attraction is immediate on both sides. Chemistry may not be enough, however, since the two seem to be in different places in their lives and careers.

This is a delightful character-driven, slow-burn romance written by an expert in the genre. The settings are well described, especially the part of the story set on the actual tour. The characters are realistic and easy to connect with. The love story between Annie and Bristol is both charming and steamy, with just enough angst to keep you reading and guessing. The fact that the book is based around music just adds to the amazing atmosphere.

I thoroughly loved reading this novel. I recommend it to all romance lovers.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm familiar with the authors pervious work, so I'm not surprised that I enjoyed this one just as much. The characters are great, it's easy to follow in love with both of the main characters. The supporting characters are also well written and provide just enough angst to keep the book interesting, but not overshadow the simple well written love story. Highly recommend this slow burn romance that will have you smiling in the end. I would definitely read this one again.

Kris is one of my favorite authors and I've always enjoyed her books, and this was no exception. It's a well written slow burn romance with drama and lots of emotion in play. I recommend 4 stars.

Thank you NetGalley and Bold Strokes books for this ARC.

1 stars, DNF at 60%

thank you to netgalley and Bold Strokes Books for an eARC of this book!

this book fell really flat for me. i am a sucker for sapphic romances (obviously) so I was excited to have gotten the ARC for this book. however, it started off really slow and even as I got into it, the story just dragged. I believe I made it 60% into the book and still wasn't feeling the sparks between the two love interests, so it was hard to feel connected to the characters and the plot.

if you're the kind of reader who loves to get invested in a couple & characters, i would maybe shy away from this book because I had a lot of difficulty feeling that excitement!

The meeting of musical minds
Kris Bryant gives us a very well written romance where a fresh, rising star and a successfull though jaded, disillusioned star meet by chance. A very sexy f/f romance unfolds. I esp. loved the music which was very well written as was the secondary cast which was just lovely: the very young Peyton battling cancer rocks her scenes.
Alas, I was a bit irritated about the chance meeting at an unlikely location and IMO it took too much time to clear up how it came about. This is a very, very slow burn romance and at some point it bordered on annoying, but the finale is grand and very satisfying.
As always Bryants writing is great: the story and the dialogues flowed really well. A little less repetition of on similar on-stage scenes could have enhanced the story even more.

Thanks for the ARC via netgalley and Bold Strokes Books. The review is left voluntarily.

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘:
I love celebrity romance books but I prefer actresses to singers. I love how the romance was slowly built in this book. The way it is like a mirror but also opposite, when I read the synopsis, I lie you not, I didn't see how a conflict would be built from something so small like that. But in those moments when Bristol opened up to Annie, I could see that she was really struggling. It was a solid and beautiful love story.

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒:
I love the character setting. Vanessa, I will marry you because you are awesome 😏🤤 and I would love see Bristol blush furiously.😈😈 Shy baby. 🤣🤣.

I love the main characters. I think I love them equally. And Charly, Sarah, Peyton, even Lizzy. I just love how Bristol loved Annie and Annie her. The way Annie loved her sister and niece. And Raven, whom I thought was a bird by the way, until I read a meow.

This was an unexpected love story. Annie and Bristol met when Bristol needed a front singer for her tour when her regular musician had to leave suddenly. Bristol's manager Lizzie heard Annie play and sing and told Bristol she had found a replacement. The plot revolves around Annie and Bristol trying to find each other and what the future holds for them. There is emotion, drama and love in the book. I recommend this book for romance readers who like a musical setting.

Going into this my expectations were high as I know I can expect a certain standard from this author. I was not disappointed at all. I loved this celebrity romance and looking at both sides of the coin. Annie who only has one foot into stardom and Bristol who has been in the business for years.

There is flirting, there is miscommunication, there is longing,.. all of that and a great story which adds to the magic of this story. Great read for anyone who loves a good slow burn.
