A perfect rich people thriller! I loved the characters and the way the author wove the story together was unique and kept me on my feet. I definitely think in re-reads you will catch more and more clues, which is my favorite type of thriller. The multiple perspectives felt over whelming at first but each character really had their own tone so it became easy to distinguish around 20% in.
According to the acknowledgements this author is writing another novel and I cannot wait to pick it up as well! Definitely an instant-buy thriller author.

My sincere thanks to the author and NetGalley for the gifted review copy. This book is available January 10th.

“Regrets Only” by Kieran Scott is an entertaining read if you’ve ever dealt with a “Mom’s Group” on steroids and a clique bent. This really did give me “Little Big Lies” vibes. It took me a while to keep the separate characters (major and minor) separated but I did like the multiple points-of-view. I could see this being a “movie of the week” (for those who remember those) as there was a lot going on. I did find the ending a bit lackluster and had a few additional questions, which made me wonder if this is going to be part of a series or not. A book that held my attention and now makes me want to read Ms. Scott's first novel. Clever twist on the suburban drama arena. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

This was a fun, entertaining read. Being a mom of 3 I enjoyed the real life feel of this book, the drama, jealousy, and love that comes with motherhood, marriage, and friendships. Paige, a single mom, returns to live with her mother in the suburban neighborhood she grew up in. PTA seems to be everything for anyone with children in this town. When the head of PTA and queen bee of the mom clique is murdered, Paige starts investigating. They all have secrets and plenty of people have a reason to dislike the victim. Written in multiple POV, good plot, I never would’ve guessed the twist at the end. I would recommend this book to fans of Big Little Lies and my fellow mom friends! Huge thank you to NetGalley for the advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to #NetGalley for letting me read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. In this fun and intriguing suburban thriller, mom and former Hollywood writer Paige meets the members of the Parent Booster Association in her new Connecticut town, led by president and queen bee Ainsley, wife of Paige’s long ago ex. After ones of the members is murdered, secrets are uncovered. Told in alternating perspectives, including Paige’s and several PBA members’, Scott’s book is a fun look at the underbelly of suburban mom life, a sort of “Knives Out” meets “Big Little Lies.” Her prose is clear, and the plot unfolds quickly.

After disaster strikes Paige's life she finds herself moving back home to Connecticut to live in her childhood home with her mother. It's not an ideal situation, but with her professional life in shambles she really has no other alternative. Thinking that small town living might just be what her and her daughter need right now, a quiet life in a simple little town. Upon signing her daughter up to attend the same elementary school that she did Paige learns that things have changed since she left town, there is now a group of suburban women who rule the school. They are part of the prestigious PBA group and as long as you stay on their good side you'll be fine... but if not there will be he*& to pay!

Unfortunately for Paige she lands herself on their bad side before she even has a chance to introduce herself!

Regrets Only is a drama-filled page-turner that will have you obsessed from the first chapter! As you follow the lives of three women and their dramatic little world unfolds you will soon learn that no one is on an even playing field is the grand city of Piermont. Secrets, lies, and betrayal are the name of the game for these women, and they will do almost anything to stay atop the PBA... even commit murder!

This thrilling read kept me up until the wee hours of the morning, I felt like I was watching some juicy reality television show, I just couldn't get enough! I've got to say it was well worth the loss of sleep though, who knew being a suburban mom could be so entertaining! Highly recommend this one for anyone who enjoys domestic suspense, it's words will take you places you never saw coming!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Definitely Big Little Lies vibes having multiple narrators each chapter, different story. It started a little slow and I wasn't sure where the story was going, but once it picked up the story went quick. Not my favorite from this author, but still a good read.

Fans of Big Little Lies will enjoy this book. It’s a story of a group of PTSA women, each with something to hide, who are drawn into a tragic murder investigation. Who was involved. Who is this new woman in town…and why is she hanging out with the victim’s husband?

Genre: suburban thriller
One sentence summary: Paige moves back home with her daughter to get away from her troubles, but she soon finds herself investigating the death of the parents' association alpha mom.

I loved Big Little Lies, so I pretty much have to read any book that bills itself as in the vein of Big Little Lies. This one has some good elements - the women have plenty of secrets, and there are some good red herrings in the investigation of Ainsley's death. I didn't guess the culprit or the motive. However, I think the ending could have had more impact - it felt a little rushed and anticlimactic. I enjoyed Scott's previous book, Wish You Were Gone, and I'll continue to read her books.

Personal and professional humiliations have driven screenwriter Paige Lancaster back to her mother and childhood home in suburban Piermont, Connecticut. It doesn’t take her long to discover that there is more intrigue in this small town than she dreamed of while writing a long running TV series. For instance, the campaign to lead the school Parent’s Booster Association is more cutthroat than national politics. Then there’s the hierarchy in the association itself and the cliques where friends wear identical necklaces to set themselves apart. Paige has barely begun to navigate this when she realizes that her high school boyfriend (still in town, still drop dead gorgeous) is married to Ainsley, President of the PBA and necklace wearing leader of the pack. She doesn’t get to know Ainsley very well, however, because her dead body is found at the foot of the staircase the night after an alcohol fueled school fundraiser.

Regrets Only is an easy, fun read. Told in the voice of three characters (I was Team Paige), the story flows seamlessly from Lanie to Nina to Paige. The conclusion is a surprise, all the supporting characters well described (Hot Cop!) and the suburban location just bland enough to be a good setting for plot twists. 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Gallery Books and Kieran Scott for this ARC.

This was just fine for me. Nothing special, but a decent mystery with a good plot. It does make me laugh that if there’s rich parents and someone who may or may not have been pushed, the book immediately gets compared to Big Little Lies!

After reading the synopsis for this book - I knew I had to read it right away. This book gives very Big Little Lies vibes (which is a fantastic book & tv show) but this book, did not live up to the hype for me at ALL.

This book is centered around mom drama in a rich part of Connecticut where the moms full time jobs are being part of the PBA. Each mom has a so called “secret” & they all essentially turn their backs on each other but in the end, are ultimately friends (typical for a rich community). The book is told from several characters POV’s but I found all of them to be extremely underdeveloped & not to mention, the book literally leaves you with more questions than answers. To me, everything felt rushed & I was patiently waiting for a huge plot twist but when it happened I thought, really? This is the best thing you could come up with?

While this is a drama filled read, you may find yourself as frustrated as I was with the lack of character development & the huge hole that was left at the end. You can probably skip this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for an EArc of this book in exchange for my honest review..
