Honestly wanted so much more than what I got from this one, left me disappointed and feeling a little bitter about certain things (i.e. the casual racism displayed toward Sacha.) All in all this could have been executed better.

1.5 rounded up because I really did like the concept.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

Just a quick, cute, easy read with just the right amount of romance and wit. Good characters that are likeable and make you want to cheer them on to the end. Recommend for fans of cozy romance.

3.5 overall

A fake dating love story set in the city of love, Paris. Obviously I loved the setting of the book and it definitely made me want to book a ticket to Paris ASAP. The story itself fell flat in certain areas for me. Ren definitely comes off as unlikeable in the beginning of the story but that all changes by the end. I do feel there could have been more character development and I did figure out the plot pretty early on. If you're okay with figuring out the story and ending early on then you will enjoy this book. And if not for the story then for Paris. Many thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for the eARC in exchange for my review.

4*

Gossip Girl meets Holiday novel. Ren, short for Irene, is an heiress for a big auction house. She grew up with her protective grandma, who keeps her shielded away from the real world. Fate makes her meet Sacha, a teacher who grew up in the outskirts of Paris. During the story, you learn more about both of their backgrounds and what got them to this point in their lives. Sacha being the martyred hero opening Ren’s eyes to the normal world. I loved the character development in this book and, albeit cliche, the “love conquers all” message underneath it. Would recommend for a sweet and cozy holiday read that’s not too sappy.

This was a really fun Christmas read. I loved that it was set in Paris, the perfect story to be swept away with romance.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide me review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This was a cute one. I liked it. Will I read it ever again?! Really do not think so. An average 3 stars read for me

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
The book is set close to Christmas, and the details of the events, sights and sounds clearly set the scene. The romantic story between Ren (the heiress) and Sasha (the less - than - desirable immigrant) is developed nicely, although the tandem bicycle on the cover never appears! However I didn't think Ren's character was particularly realistic, the event when she was little and her over-protected childhood still didn't explain why, at the age of 30, she didn't know how to light an oven. Part of the story is based on a merger of the company, implying that they need more capital yet they still live a life as if money is no object. I also thought that some parts of the story were not explained very well: why exactly did Sasha report the glass window and who stole it, and Ziggy was purported to prioritise her own interests but nothing ever came of this.
In all I think this is an average Christmas romance although I thought the amount and type of swearing was completely unnecessary.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

Loved the setting and the fake dating, but there was a bit much angst and Insta love here for it to be a real winner for me.

An enjoyable read in a fantastic setting.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

A but of a miss for me. The writing style was not strong enough and I didn’t feel drawn into the story. I love a good fake romance trope and Paris was a great setting, but I just didn’t feel the connection between Ren and Sacha

Twenty - One Nights in Paris is perfect for fans of Emily in Paris. It’s a short romantic book. And I’d recommend it to those of you who want a book that they can get lost in.

"You must feel the things you feel, it must be allowed"

Irena Asquith-Lewis, heiress to the Asquith-Lewis auction, member of the elite, has just found herself the star of the newest scandal. Her ex-fiancé, Charlie has recently announced their separation, potentially ruining the merger between the two wealthy important family businesses. On her way to the train station, Irena knocks Sacha off his bike, and disregards her trip to London in earnest, to ensure that he's okay and taken to the hospital, and quickly the two find it hard to stay away from each other, in spite of the many obstacles and their differences in social classes.

I really loved the idea of the premise for this story, but it just wasn't executed as well as I was expecting. I adored the Christmas aspects of the story, and how beautifully descriptive the writing was, you feel instantly transported to Paris. The relationship on the other hand, moved too quickly for my liking. It was very insta-love and I personally love a bit of angsty tension but they only knew each other an hour and already wanted to kiss each other. There is the fake-dating trope, to appease Irena's racist, arrogant, pompous and downright rude grandmother.

Ren is intent on rebelling against her domineering matriarch, she wants to live a more free and independent life, where her every decision and move isn't manipulated or used to determine her worth and her fortune. However, she's not used to being independent and is definitely a whirlwind of chaos. At times I found her to be a little annoying and selfish. She's got very little confidence in herself, and it felt like the majority of the interactions between her and Sacha were her apologising for not being good enough for him, or for causing him bad luck.

Sacha on the other hand was an absolute breath of fresh air. He's tender, sweet, and knowledgeable particularly about Paris and it's history. Just an incredibly kind and warm hearted young man, whose incredibly insightful and profoundly poetic. He was such a strong character for most of the story but I found near the end he sort of lost his resolve and fight, becoming more reserved and just allowed people to talk down to him or treat him horribly, which was really disappointing to see.

I think in general I just felt like the characters lacked depth, and the storyline kept losing me and didn't grip me like I was hoping. There's also this constant stream of doubtfulness and fear radiating from both Ren and Sacha, of them both being bad for the other, that it felt like that was all they both said to one another, or thought about, and it was just very repetitive and boring. I also really couldn't understand why the characters were so eager to just move on, particularly with Sacha being treated so abhorrently by Ren's grandmother and ex, for being 'beneath' them. Ren just doesn't do much at all, she almost allows it to happen and doesn't really stand up for him, and Sacha just seems to absorb it all, and forgets that it happened, or that how he's being treated is not okay, which was really frustrating because he doesn't deserve it, and Ren should've stood up for him and made her intentions and feelings clear, but she just sits there.

Overall, it was an okay romance, but too insta-lovey, and I didn't enjoy how little conviction the characters had by the end, they all felt kind of wishy-washy and forgettable, but the setting is very immersive and picturesque. Great if you like insta-love and fake dating.

2.75 stars, rounded up.

A cute little holiday rom-com that is a very quick read. There isn't much to it, just the base story itself, which as a quick holiday read isn't entirely a bad thing.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ren lives in a bubble. Our leading lady in this book comes from money, and this entitles her to luxuries, which in turn, limits the scope of her experience. She had had a very public falling out with her fiance and is heading out of Paris when she missed her train in the most dramatic fashion possible.
Our male protagonist, Sacha, also gets a voice in this book. He is a person whose appearances lead people to make quick judgement calls. He ends up in the right place at the right time to be roped into a fake dating plan. Ren has been given three weeks to get her rebellion out of her system (or so the grandmother hopes). The rest of the story follows the standard format. We get to see more of Paris here than the Eiffel Tower, which is refreshing. Although Sacha is the more complex of characters, I enjoyed Ren's growth ARC when she finds out about all the things she never knew she was missing out on. She has never been given the space to make her own choices, and that comes through in the narration.
I think this will appeal to readers of this genre. The author has a straightforward way of describing the events, making it easy to follow and empathize with everyone being discussed.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

I've read one other book by this author and will definitely read more, they were both really enjoyable and I like her writing style.

I liked this story, it was exciting, full of dilemmas, family drama, romance and love.

I really liked the different lives of Irena (Ren) and Sacha. I love that Ren looks at Paris through new eyes, despite having been there before. It's a huge eye opener for Ren.

Sacha has a past but don't we all, can this be overcome. Will he appreciate what he feels before it disappears for good.

I adore Paris and can relate so much to the sights and sounds and the difference in culture to where I live.

I so enjoyed this book! Ren and Sacha were so so so sweet to read and the adventures that they get to go on are beyond fun.

I adored the setting - this author truly transports you to Paris and I loved every second.

I felt like I was enjoying Paris myself while falling in love with Ren and Sacha falling in love. This book had so much heart - I cannot recommend it enough.

Thank you to Leonie Mack for writing this book and allowing me to read it in exchange for an honest review!
