This was a miss for me. The writing style was not strong enough and I didn’t feel drawn into the story. I love a good fake romance trope and Paris was a great setting, but I just didn’t feel the connection between Ren and Sacha.

This was a great, very Aladdin-inspired fairytale romance with fantastic characters and breathtaking descriptions of Paris! I loved the chemistry between Ren and Sacha, along with wonderful and heart-warming side characters who were also a pleasure to get to know. The setting and vivid descriptions were wonderful - I feel like I've actually spent the winter in Paris!

Leonie Mack is back with a charming, uplifting and wonderfully romantic new novel, Twenty-One Nights in Paris.

Irena and Sacha come from two different worlds. While Ren is an heiress to a fortune and counts the Ritz as her second home, Sacha grew up in Paris’ less salubrious suburbs. When fate brings the two of them together, romance seems highly unlikely, however, life does have a habit of surprising you as they quickly discover.

With Ren’s high society engagement coming to a very humiliating and public end, her grandmother immediately makes it clear that she wants her home in London. But Ren does not want to leave her life in Paris just yet and desperately needing an excuse comes up with a plan that requires Sacha to pose as her boyfriend. Sacha agrees to act as her beau for twenty-one nights, but once the three weeks are up, Ren has to go home and face the music. Only, neither one of them ever envisaged that they would find themselves falling head over heels in love with one another.

As Ren realises how exciting the world is far from the rarefied circles she moves in, Sacha is bowled over by the real woman beneath the wealthy heiress’s sophisticated exterior. But the clock is ticking and Ren and Sacha wonder whether they will find the courage to admit how they really feel about one another or whether they will end up losing out on the love of a lifetime.

A tender, touching and uplifting romance that will sweep readers away to the most romantic city in the world, Twenty-One Nights in Paris is a gorgeous, emotional and feel-good page-turner that aims for the heart and does not miss. Leonie Mack writes so well about characters who become so real they will feel like old friends by the end of the book and her settings are always described in a rich, vivid, bold and colourful way making readers feel as if they are living the story alongside her protagonists.

A top-notch romantic escape, Twenty-One Nights in Paris is the latest dazzler by Leonie Mack.

Leonie Mack does it again! I was enamored by her Italy book and now to read one that takes place in France was just delightful. This kind of book is perfect for my students who are exploring different cultures and warming up to the idea of studying abroad. Coupled with the witty banter and beautiful love story, it's a win.

Rating: 2/5 Stars

Twenty One Nights in Paris chronicles the story of Irene and Sacha - two very different people from two very different worlds. Irena, better known as Ren, is a heiress while Sacha has grown up in Paris’ less talked about suburbs.

When Ren finds herself the subject of tabloid fodder, she needs an excuse to stay away from her overprotective family in London. Enter Sacha - who agrees to pose as her boyfriend for 21 days before Red heads home to face her family.

I’m so disappointed because I absolutely loved Leonie Mack’s We’ll Always Have Venice. Unfortunately, this latest edition to the author’s work lacks the same character development and plot devices that her previous works have. The characters were hard to connect to and at points just seemed genuinely unbelievable and unlikable.

I unfortunately DNF this even though I tried multiple times over the course of several weeks and just couldn’t get into it. Here’s hoping Mack’s next story is more compelling.

Thanks to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Leonie Mack for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

What a fun holiday rom-com, set in one of the most romantic cities of all...Paris! This was a sweet and easy read and really hit the spot for the holidays. If you want something feel-good, this is worth a read. And the details of Paris made me want to pack my bags! Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Twenty-One Nights in Paris by Leonie Mack was so absolutely endearing to me. The couple especially Sasha the male protagonist was such a cheerleader to our female protagonist. But it wasn't just that. I read a lot, I mean a lot maybe three books a week during the winter at least. But this one had the setting, the writing, the dialogue, the characters you could care about, and the arc was believable. It was a story that didn't feel contrived even though it wasn't an anyone type story it felt like fresh air on a happy day and now I can escape into a story blended with all the good things in life.

I'll cherish the story and remember it which says a lot since I read so much. Now I am going to read more Leonie Mack. It is the first book I've read from her. I am mostly a Emily Henry type reader. I look forward to reading many more by Leonie Mack.

If you're looking for a story that is perfectly blended like a great meal of some of the things that bring you joy in life this one has it!

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and review Twenty-One Nights in Paris by Leonie Mack.

"Twenty-One Nights in Paris" by Leonie Mack is not very good. Ren and Sacha, two polar opposite people from their mannerisms to their monetary and social statuses, literally collide into one another one day, setting off a chain reaction that sees the two of them bound together in a fake relationship, though they have very real feelings for one another.

Does being rich always make people turn into massively racist tools? Because Ren and her lot resort to common offensive stereotypes of Sacha whenever they get a chance, and it's painfully cringeworthy. Sacha is so much better and so much sweeter than the jerks on the page here. Ren is vapid and ignorant about life because she is so sheltered by her fortune that she doesn't even know what it costs to buy a margarita. Her grandmother is a control freak of the worst order. All of Ren's family members and the people who work for her family's company are the absolute WORST. My god, I wanted to punch almost everyone in this book. The way they treat people is abhorrent. Like, they just can't fathom being with someone for love versus power/status/money/mergers. It's a real sickness, that!

This book is also super predictable and doesn't lack a lot of character development. While the Parisian setting really shines here, unfortunately, the story that happens around it leaves a lot to be desired. It just sort of jumps into the plot and doesn't give us a chance to get to know Ren or Sacha, which means we don't really care about them or their "relationship."

Skip this one.

Thank you to NetGalley, Leonie Mack, and Boldwood Books for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my review.

Irena’s engagement reaches a public end and her over protective grandmother want her home but she wanted some times to explore and stay in Paris. Irena or best known as Ren met Sacha, she persuade him to be her new boyfriend for the 21 days before heading home and as they spent more time together they began to fall in love with each other.

I love both Sacha and Ren. Sacha had all the traits of a rough Parisian man while Ren is very sensitive and as the story progress her character grew in strength. The storyline is a mixture of fake relationship and forbidden love. Overall it was a good read to me.

In this modern day retake of the classic Disney story Aladdin Leonie Mack writes a sweet contemporary winter romance novel that is a story of its own.

QOTD if you could live in one fairytale for a day which one would you choose?

AOTD it would either be Aladdin or Alice in Wonderland for me. Both seem very magical. 💫

Ren wants to escape from her high life lifestyle and a few nights in Paris is just exactly what she needed. After meeting Sacha, a “street rat”, he shows Ren another world of Paris. Soon after meeting all the tropes come through, faking dating, forbidden love and secrets. Do they get their Happy Ever After?

I love the descriptions of Paris in this book. At times I felt I was in Paris myself. Not only reading this book broadened my knowledge of downtown and uptown of Paris, but it reminded me so much of Aragbah in Aladdin. Who would have thought Paris
being the perfect setting for an Aladdin retelling

The characters for me were developed enough to get a sense of them but sadly I could not fully love them as characters. I wish there was more of a deeper understanding of the two main characters explaining how and who they are today.

Mack cleverly weaves her own story into this retelling so you don’t quite get that full retelling of Aladdin. I think this works well especially if you go into this book not thinking it’s a complete retelling but more of a subtle retelling of Aladdin.

Twenty- one Nights in Paris is available now.

Thank you Leonie, Netgalley and Boldwood books for the digital copy of Twenty- one Nights in Paris for reviewing purposes.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Twenty-One Nights in Paris", written by Leonie Mack.

Overall, I rated tjhis novel 2/5 stars.

I loved the synopsis/description of what this book was about. I feel as though it could have been executed so well. However, unfortunately, it did not seem to be what I was looking for. Who wouldn't want to read a novel about fake dating while in Paris? Apparently me - unfortunately.

I like that it was filled with lots of imagery, but was not too crazy about all of the historical information that was shared. I found that to be a boring component - just not my cup of tea.

Adorable!!! In a subtle Aladdin retelling, the love story unfolds slowly under our eyes. It was a delight to read.
It described two diagonally opposed worlds, and despite the festive setting, I was surprised by the depth of the story and themes touched on.
Yes, it's a holiday romance set in Paris with a grandiose setting, but it's something more. The clash between Sasha and Ren's worlds are masterly challenged. There's some more delicate subjects like the racism Sasha faces from Ren's family, but it was needed to be representative of an Arab man in France.
I loved how it didn't follow the cliché of the everyday French man and showed us another reality in Paris.
I also loved to see the more glamourous setting from Ren's perspective. The balance between the two sides is perfect and threaded together in a wonderful love story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I tried to like like this book, honestly, I did, it's Christmas book after all. But I was very disappointed.

Already from the start I felt like I was missing parts of the story, that made me check if I haven't skipped a few pages (read the digital version of this book). The story was also predictable, and not in the cute Hallmark way, where you always know what's gonna happen, but in a way, that makes you want to put a book down, because what's the point anymore.🤷🏼‍♀️

Wanted to see some character development and some unexpected twist but that didn't happen.

This book was a struggle for me. I desperately wanted to DNF it, but I have a real issue with not finishing a book.

I started this book at the beginning of the month and felt it was okay. I set it aside to read a few books that were more pressing, time wise. When I picked it back up, I just could not get back into the story.

A few of the main issues I had with this book:

I felt there was a lot of useless/ pointless exposition. I hated how much time was wasted on Ren trying to guess Sachs’s profession and other various aspects of his life.

There was a ton of French phrases. I have no experience with the French language. Therefore, when Mack added French to the text, with no explanation, I was left completely lost. I had to stop reading to do a quick research session. This took me out of the story.

Finally, I struggled to connect with the main characters. I was not invested in Ren or Sacha for that matter. Both characters had the potential to be amazing, they just didn’t resonate with me.

While this book was not a good fit for me, it may be perfect for someone else. Special thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley.com for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

I loved this book from start to finish! After a brilliant opening line, it captivated me from the very start with Aladdin-inspired fairytale romance, fantastic characters and breathtaking descriptions of Paris! Off-the-charts chemistry between the main characters, Ren and Sacha, along with wonderful and heart-warming side characters who were also a pleasure to get to know, and a few hidden secrets to work out along the way. Unbelievably this is the first book I've read by Leonie Mack, but it definitely won't be the last! The setting and vivid descriptions are an absolute highlight - I feel like I've actually spent the winter in Paris! A gorgeously romantic winter read - 5 stars from me!

A fake relationship lasting 21 days so that the heroine can stay in Paris. This one turned out sweeter than I thought it would be.

Gosh, this is such a swoon worthy ride of a story. Starting with the (un?)happy accident that leads to the most important 21 days in our heroine's life. So far, Irene has been trapped inside her high society bubble and it's only when she meets Sascha, that she realizes how much else the world is to offer and it was such a joy to be able to discover it with her.

This is a lovely, festive Rom-Com with the opposites attrackt trope AND fake dating! Perfection!
