This was one I couldn’t put down and just wanted to carry on reading to find out what was him going to happen! Loved the slow love story developing between Ren & Sasha! Loved all the other characters which made them main ones @ the end! A perfect Christmas read.

Twenty-One Nights in Paris
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance
Format: Kindle eBook
Date Published: 10/6/22
Author: Leonie Mack
Publisher: Boldwood Books

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Synopsis: An heiress to a fortune, Ren’s home-from-home is the Ritz, while the handsome and brooding Sacha has grown up in Paris’s less salubrious suburbs. When Ren’s society engagement reaches a very public end, Irena’s over-protective grandmother wants her home in London. Ren needs an excuse to stay in Paris, and so after some persuasion, Sacha agrees to pose as her new boyfriend. But only for the twenty-one days Ren's grandmother has allowed her to nurse her broken heart before heading home to face the music. When their time is up, will Ren want to return to her gilded cage, and will Sacha be able to let go of the woman he’s been ‘pretending’ to fall in love with…

My Thoughts: I adored Ren and Sacha, both with a good heart, even though Ren was an heiress. This follows the classic trope of fake dating, one of my favorites tropes to read. The tone set in Paris felt authentic and as if I was there with them. Ren’s grandmother, not so likable in the beginning, however, she grew on me towards the end. Mack really made this a swoon-worthy read and to really believe in love. One of the impacts this book had on me was to be present in each moment in your life, no matter how big or small. The characters were flushed out well and well developed with depth, witty banter, chemistry, and creatively written. The author’s writing style was complex, swoony, humorous, and kept me engaged. This was just a cute book and I would recommend picking up when it releases next month.

“Love is your blank page…”

Thank goodness author Leonie Mack understands that fairytales aren’t just for kids! Her upcoming release, a Parisian romance, is an Aladdin-inspired winter fairytale featuring three popular tropes: the rich heroine and poor hero trope, the fake relationship trope, and the forbidden love trope. In addition to seeing similarities with Aladdin, readers will also notice hints of Sleeping Beauty, the Hunchback of Notre Dame and the Lady and the Tramp! In fact, I had flashbacks of Pretty Woman and Sleepless in Seattle. Not only has Mack mastered the reverse Cinderella, she rocks the tropes and keeps readers glued to the pages with her loveable characters and believable plot. Mack also does Paris justice by capturing the atmosphere and sights of this beautiful city perfectly. What’s not to love about twenty-one nights in the City of Love? I’d love to find out!

Kudos to Mack for nailing the fake relationship trope! I was totally convinced that pretending to be in a fake relationship was Ren’s only option in dealing with her family and her broken engagement. I giggled and gasped at the awkward moments and the times when Ren and Sacha questioned if they were acting or if the feelings were real. Mack brought to life those exciting moments of discovering love! I don’t know how she does it but she keeps me swooning, gasping, and giggling. I loved the frozen margarita scene, the brazen scene where she tells Sacha, still a stranger at this point, that she needs him “to have a wild affair” with her, and the explanation of the French translation of ‘Wren’. I appreciated the exploration of how creative works touch our lives, how love isn’t about what we deserve, and the importance of making the most of each shared moment. I was fascinated with ‘verlan’ and will investigate it further!

“Who was he, this man who weaved history with threads of meaning and wielded words so powerful they made her heart beat wildly?”

We all need a Sacha Mourad in our lives - someone who listens to us and helps us see the world in a different way and someone who doesn’t just love us, but belongs with us. What a swoonworthy hero!

“I don’t mean forget, forget. But I have to cross out the mistake and continue on. Every mistake leads here, to now. Crossing things out is ignoring them and losing the thread of what makes us who we are.”

I love this pivotal moment! I have a fresh appreciation now for mistakes. I love the reference to them being threads that make us who we are.

I’m excited to see what Leonie Mack has in store for readers in 2023!

Clean romance. Some swearing.

I was gifted this advance copy by Boldwood Books and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

This book hit all the right notes of a romance. The setting, Paris...well, you can never go wrong setting a romance in that city! Ren, the heiress, finding her strength to stand up to herself and confront her trauma was well developed. The romantic lead, Sacha, was such a compelling sweetheart. Who wouldn't love than man? And as a teacher, I loved that he was a teacher! The supporting characters, mainly Sacha's friends and family, really created that heartwarming feeling in the family scenes. This is definitely a book that has those "awww" moments. I could easily see this storyline adapted into a Christmastime movie on netflix!

Thank you to Boldwood Books and #NetGalley for the ARC! This is my honest opinion.

What an incredibly lovely story. I felt like I was swept away to Paris, which is already a magical city on its own, but at Christmastime, it felt even more magical. This story had a great balance of heavy topics that evoked strong emotion, humour, adventure, and romance. I loved Ren, Sacha, and the entire cast of characters.

I really felt for Ren. The trauma she experienced in her childhood left her sheltered and afraid, and I could understand that on a deep, personal level. She had so much privilege and so many opportunities, but her life was small because it was all carefully planned and staged, and she went through the motions of what was expected of her. I loved watching her come into her own and choose her own path. I cheered her on as she bravely stepped outside her comfort zone, learned more about herself and the world around her, and took chances. I also loved Sacha and how he opened up to Ren and shared some of the burden that had been weighing him down for so long. These two were so wonderful together, and I found myself rooting for them separately and together. I loved their banter and chemistry, and I also loved that they shared some truly beautiful, touching moments that tugged on my heart and also made me swoon.

Twenty-One Nights in Paris is heartfelt and hopeful, with a wonderful cast of characters, a beautiful setting, and a storyline that will both make you laugh and tug at your heartstrings.

What a lovely book based in one of my favourite cities. I could imagine some to the places the characters visit throughout the story.
Will 21 days in Paris change heiress, Ren's outlook on life when she meets the charming .........but more common, Sacha??

A really romantic read which finds the characters so endearing that you are constantly cheering them on throughout the book

The push and pull between these two is agonizingly delicious. The writing style is captivating and keeps you craving more. A beautiful romantic novel.

Sometimes you just need a romance; like sorbet between courses (or books).

Ren and Sasha are very likeable characters.

(The relationship with the grandmother seemed a little forced and unbearable, but if that is the only family you've had ... )

Loved all the details about Paris. I've never been but it sounded wonderful. Not advertised as a Christmas novel, but the setting includes Christmas sales vendors on the streets of Paris (adding to the lusciousness of the story).

Thank you to NetGalley (especially for introducing me to a new-to-me author) and the opportunity to review the advance read copy of Twenty-One Nights in Paris. And also many thanks to the author Leonie Mack and the publisher Boldwood Books!

This story has a fairytale, magical quality to it, sprinkled with some Parisian Christmas spirit! I so enjoyed Sasha and REN’s story, which reminded me of the movie Roman Holiday with two strangers, one a regular bloke going about his day to day business, the other an heiress trapped in an overprotective bubble. Together they explore Paris and discover their hidden, real selves.
Romantic, heartwarming, funny and charming, filled with wonderful characters and beautiful scenery. I love Leonie Mack’s writing and will definitely be reading more of her books. Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was slow to get into this book but once I did I couldn’t put it down. The relationship between Ren and Sasha was delicious. The other characters surrounding them were colourfully written, with enough heroes and villains to keep the plot I retesting yet still light. I adored the setting of the different parts and cultures of Paris, especially being set at Christmas time. Thank you netgalley.

I love the author's descriptions of Paris--so beautiful and so evocative for anyone who has ever experienced the City of Light. This story doesn't revolve around Christmas, but it takes place during that season, allowing the reader to revel also in the fabulous Christmas markets and decorations that pepper the city during the holiday season.

Ren (short for Irena) has grown up wealthy, having inherited a prominent London auction house and antiques business after losing her parents at a very young age. Ren grew up with her only close relative, her aristocratic grandmother, and they weathered some tough times until they brought someone in from outside of the family to help run the business. An upcoming merger with Ren's fiancé's parents' business should bolster the company even further, but will it still happen now that her fiancé has dumped her for another woman? Ren doesn't really know how to live outside of her entitled status and her corporate role until, on a trip to Paris, she literally runs into Sacha, a man who is unacceptable to her grandmother in every way but who awakens in her a new sense of freedom and a burgeoning reality that there is more to life than the one she is living.

I found Sacha engaging and refreshing as we slowly learned more about him, although I had trouble warming to Ren at first. I felt she could have been better described to lay the foundation for why she acted as she did, and sometimes her dialogue with Sacha seemed a bit stilted and inauthentic. I also felt there was too much agonizing by both characters about why they could never have a life together. Come on, this is a romance after all! But as things progressed, I was less bothered and more engaged in the story and in the fate of two people who started their relationship as a faux romance with little to no hope of making their relationship a meaningful one.

My thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review of this book.

I've been really sick lately so all I've been able to do is stay in bed, sleep, and read. This is one of the books I picked up while I wasn't feeling to great so to be honest I was a little bit bored in the middle of the book and had a hard time powering through to the end but I ended up liking it a lot. It took me a day and a half to read so not in my one sitting read club, but still a good book to read. I think that the chemistry between Ren and Sacha is amazing and having a book in a setting such as Paris is something that is like a dream. I've always wanted to visit Paris during the winter time and after this, I may just add that to my bucket list.

I found this book a little hard to get into and it took a while but I did enjoy it in the end. It’s a pretty slow burner but in a good way.
I did however get confused a few times with characters because there’s so many but I managed ok. Good read overall

Oh wow so good, very much recommend reading it.

This was a basic HEA book.

I enjoyed the main male character more than I did the female.

The two are from different worlds, but they run into one another (literally) and eventually create a bond that is needed by both sides. Ireana (aka Ren, a wealthy heiress) and Sacha (street-wise man who has no to had the same luxuries as Ireana) seem like an unlikely pair and their relationship begins as a lie. While I did enjoy this book, it did not stand out as an immediate super star.

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Leonie Mack for allowing me to read this advanced copy of the book.

I really liked this book, its a cute romance that occurs over / leading up to the holiday time, but the holiday season is not the main focus which I liked.

There are little bits of French in the conversation really added to the Paris feel. The main characters own self growth along the way was so good. With confronting the past, fake dating, little Disney tidbits, and some mishaps along the way this was a cute read.

This is the first book by Leonie Mack that I have read but I have added others to my wish list.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley for the copy to review. I loved the premise of this book. I’m a sucker for a princess and the pauper type romance. However, this book just didn’t hit all the marks for me.

It has insta-lust even though the main character practically concussed the poor guy. There’s nothing wrong with that if that’s your thing. It’s just not mine.

I do believe it has solid writing and the story flowed pretty well. It didn’t feel disjointed or poorly worded. All in all, this could be the book for you if you want a romance that will take you to beautiful swoon worthy places.

I just love the fake dating tropes. This was an engaging and light-hearted story. After reading this, I’m adding Paris to my to-visit list. I found this book enjoyable and I recommend.

I loved this book! Cute couple from totally different walks of life meet and fall in love - so far appears very predictable. But the author’s style of writing really draws you in, the character development was great and the descriptions of Paris were just fab, not boring at all but clearly well researched. I’ve since downloaded another by the author before my trip to Venice! I highly recommend this book, thank you to Netgalley for an advanced read x
