This was a cute very PG book about a girl trying to find herself. It felt a little immature but it was still a cute read.

This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Quirky characters…starting over…family dynamics…this is a modern day story about a couple getting back together, although he does not remember they broke up. Living in Seattle, they go about their lives in the midst of sports, the market, the islands. The setting is almost like another character…enjoyable and fun. This author is talented at weaving a romance about a couple with a huge extended family and numerous friends…sometimes nosy friends…enjoy this for an afternoon in a cozy comfy chair with a warm blanket…lose yourself in I this couple’s story. Sometimes it was difficult keeping all the characters in order.

I loved this book. Author used a common trope but then made it unique. I’m so glad the main character was able to realize her worth and take a chance on Matt. I knew something was up with her ex boyfriend. The way he threw her to the side was disgusting. He didn’t deserve her. She has a lot of value. It may be unconventional but she deserves all the good things life has to offer and it seems she’ll get that with Matt. Will def read more books by the author!

I love a second-chance romance and this was so, so cute. I really enjoyed our main character and getting to know her!

For Twice In My Life is a surprising, refreshing take on common romance tropes! Throughout the story, the main characters' lives and relationships take the forefront, providing a beautifully nuanced and honest look at the messy, confusing, ever-changing ways we view the world around us and the people in it. All characters go through huge growth in this novel and by the end, you'll be rooting for everyone's happy ending!

Annette Christie is a best-selling romance author, so I was excited to see her newest book, "For Twice in My Life." In her newest book, Layla is unceremoniously and suddenly dumped by her long-time boyfriend, Ian. With no warning, all of her life plans have suddenly shattered. However, when Ian is in a traffic accident which causes memory loss, he has no recollection of their break up. This gives Layla yet another chance to regain the relationship they once had. But is she just holding onto that relationship because it's comfortable, or is it really meant to be?

I enjoyed Layla, but she has poor self-esteem. And while she tries to blame that on her family, she has to accept some of that blame as well. Also, sparks seem to fly between Layla and Ian's brother, Matt, but it's never explained what they see in each other or why they're drawn to each other. I would have liked a little more about the relationship between the two of them in order to really explain the book's ending. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
