I’m not sure I’m ready to read a book that is set during the beginning stages of the Covid pandemic. That’s exactly what I got. This book touched on the pandemic culture just enough to resonate with most people and not too much into the terrible details. I did read as a stand alone and while I still don’t think I fully understand what is going on in the greater story, I was still able to engage with the characters. It was definitely interesting to see the author’s versions of different time eras during the time traveling parts. You should give this book a try if you love sci-fi.

DNF at around 30% into the book. Really didn't want to do it, but everything was driving me crazy. I'm not sure if this book is actually supposed to be a sequel to some other book or series, but from the start we are given half-hearted descriptions and introductions to characters. Similar to what the book did with the characters, the plot was quickly introduced and the reader is dumped with a ton of information about the world. I couldn't remember it all and forget half the information into a couple more chapters. Didn't want to review a book without finishing, but personally, I'd review this book as two stars for the messy development.
