This is a book that follows a ‘friendship to more’ storyline, based in an apartment complex, Justine moves into an apartment on the third floor, Xavier on the second floor, they’re soon invested in each other’s lives. The idea that their dating is pretend was a bit unrealistic, the storyline hard to grasp and I became confused at times.
I did enjoy the ‘extra’ characters, but getting immersed into the storyline was slow for me.

Thanks to the publisher, NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I throughly enjoyed this novel. In fact, it’s one of the few lately that has held my attention throughout the entire story. While I could see a few things coming, I never felt like rushing though it. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This is a difficult review for me for I have read many of this author's books and really care for them. This one though I just could not get into from the beginning and I tired a few times to come back to it to try and read it again but had the same problem, so it is probably me and not the author and I will try and read another one of her books again.

No offense at all to the author but I had to DNF it at 20%, I just didn’t connect with the characters, life’s too short and there’s too many books to read.

This book started off strong with how Justine and Xavier became friends and how we got to see all the side characters from the building as well.
I liked seeing things from both Justine and Xavier's point of view especially when their friendship was turning into more and we got to see the feelings developing on both sides. One of my favorite side characters was of course Kristin and Auggie and how they helped our main characters work on their lives and communicate and strive for better. I would be interested to see how Auggie and Benji relationship works, but I'm also okay with just leaving this how it is.

However, after about the 50% mark this book just turned into sex scene after sex scene. Yes, we still got some communication, but for a good 40% of the book, it was just constant sex. While I know some people like that, it wasn't what I was wanting from this book.
I am happy with the ending, but I'm also left feeling kind of just okay with this book. I would have liked to see more development between the two and how they adjusted to being in a relationship more instead of all the sex scenes.

I did not enjoy either of these characters. Their families were super annoying and meddlesome too. I was more interested in the side characters than I was in the main characters. They seemed like therapist and patient rather than love interest

Such a good book! Justine and Xavier have such a beautiful connection you can't help but read this in one sitting. Katie is hilarious as well as Sam. I loved Auggie as well! So many great characters and character development throughout this novel. I was totally rooting for Justine and Xavier. Aggie threw me a curve ball. Plus the ending with Katie totally surprised me! I loved every bit of this. If you enjoy comedic romance novels, the light read is a wonderful go to!

I received this book from NetGalley and the publishers to read and review. All of the statements above are my true opinions after fully reading this book.

This book fell a bit flat for me. The writing was off in my opinion ad I felt alot of what they say wouldn't actually happen in real life. The balloon fight was a great scene and the way the author handled the characters mental health as he had time from work and represented it as a normal thing no judgement. But overall I think the writing and dialogue let it down for me. Thank you to Netgalley for giving me a eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cute and fun book! Good to see character growth all around. There were many relatable parts and I enjoyed that our main character's story dealt with various aspects of life to help her grow. Recommend as a nice and light-read.

This is a simple and very cute romantic story that I really liked even though it didn‘t give me all the feels.
I loved the setting and that it is about all the people in the apartment building. It really made me want to live there aswell.
I loved the main characters and their story and also the side characters added to the story.
What I didn‘t like as much was the writing style. It was totally fine but some scenes deserve more life to them and more details and a better execution in general. Nonetheless, this book was a nice read and I enjoyed it. ,

A romance of neighbors who fall in love, with fake dating and very spicy, just the way I like it.
I loved Xavier, he is such a sensitive character, he knows how to understand and listen to his partner. He and Justine are cute together.

However, I didn't really like the drama, I found the way they split up a bit meaningless.
In addition, I found the reading slow and with secondary scenes too large and not so interesting.

This book was everything I wanted it to be. It had me turned pages without even realizing. It was so good!

Xavier and the apartment building where he lives (and Justine is sub-letting her aunt’s apartment) is delightful. At first I thought it was a little more simplistic than I would typically expect from Harte, but I was wrong. I just needed to give it some time as I got into the book and learned the characters. Xavier is the tall drink of water that I bet many women wish they could find. I loved his character. Justine was a good creation. Xavier’s sister was the only one I didn’t really care for, although she served the purpose well.

I would enjoy reading about the police officer who has guardianship of the two teens (hunt, hint, Ms. Harte), so hopefully we get more stories from this apartment building.

Thanks NetGalley and publisher for the e-ARC!

This is a cute, funny, and feels good romance book. I love the ideas of getting to know a story of the residents of one apartment. Though it's focused more on Justine and Xavier's own issues: heartbreak, family issues, and work issues, I have no problem on getting to know the side characters' charms and wit. It feels like they're real people and like my neighbors (Oh, how I wish!). I enjoy how the author unfold the story of Justine and Xavier along with their relationship stages from friends, friends with benefit, fake couple and as a couple. I love how the story and the characters of this book are so relatable, both about works related and romance related, and how it portrayed as close to the reality. Also, I didn't expect some steamy scenes but there's a lot and I can't explain it, you have to read it on your own and experienced it!

Overall, a nice story with an interesting love interest.
However, a lot of nothing happened in this book. So many scenes seemed repetitive and got boring with time. A big chunk could have been left out. There was also no need for as many characters as there were introduced. Most of them served no purpose other than existing. Some of the characters were really great though. I especially liked the male love interest as well as the FMC. I also enjoyed the FMC’s best friend and the other people living in the building. Other than that the other characters felt underdeveloped and some were only mentioned two or three times, which was a little confusing. The relevance of Aunt Truth also did not become clear to me even at the end of the book. Considering the fact that the blog was mentioned every few pages, it was pretty irrelevant to the actual story.

Good fun, good characters and some hilarious interactions with the many different occupants of the building in which much of the action takes place.
