This was such a cute and fun read! I loved watching Justine and Xavier’s relationship grow. And I thought the side characters were great too! I also love when a book talks about mental health. I think it’s important to see how people struggle and it’s okay to get help. This was a sweet and charming read that I definitely recommend if you’re looking for something quick and light!

This is one of THOSE books, you know the kind with the cutesy cover and the sweet sounding storyline and then half way through a chapter it's like BAM spice!! And I mean this in all the good kind of ways. Justine is a bit of a firecracker although comes across a bit of a pushover when it comes to dealing with her family and boss but shows great growth by the end of the story and is a great example of showing love to one's self worth. Xavier comes across as honestly pretty damn perfect like in real world this is what we want but I love that even he had insecurities that they were able to identify and work through. Honestly probs the worst example of a 'fake dating trope' I have read to date but again not in a bad way at all because how it all started it was an instant yeah you know where this going to lead almost to the point that it didn't need to be there but I get why it was there to add to the storyline. Xavier and Justine and there friends and family were funny and amusing to read there interactions and they as a couple had great banter and good communication. As always for me if I choose to read this instead of sleep and it kept me hooked the whole time an instant 5 stars from me. A fun, witty, loveable read.

What a cute and fun read! I really loved the setting of this story. A big portion of this book surrounds the people in a small apartment building. The kind of apartment that you want to find and live in, with tenants that treat each other like family. It was such a great atmosphere for Justine and Xavier to fall in love in. This also has a ton of side characters that really brought a lot to the story. I found all of them to be funny and entertaining. Our main couple was just as great. They became friends first and I really enjoyed reading so much of them together without the pressure of romance in the beginning. I would absolutely love to see more of these characters. Great read!

3.5 stars!

"Love in 3D" by Marie Harte is a cute, sexy, breezy book that doesn't quite stick the landing.

Xavier doesn't make a great first impression on his new neighbor Justine, who is subletting her aunt's apartment one floor above him. Xavier becomes fast friends with Justine after trying to make it up to her with coffee and pastries. The two are instantly drawn to one another and can hardly spend a day without talking or seeing each other. They are both going through a lot in life. Justine recently dumped her doctor ex-boyfriend, and her overbearing mother regularly attempts to fix her up on dates with her dad's coworkers. One of her sisters is getting married to a complete jerk, while her other sister will do anything to please those around her. Justine's boss frequently takes advantage of her work ethic and repeatedly makes her do *his* job, too. Xavier has a twin sister named Auggie who is always in his business. Their mother has recently become single again and is on the prowl for someone new. Xavier is taking a much-needed mental health break from his work as an LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist). Oh, and he is *also* just out of a relationship with a very needy woman. Is the connection between Justine and Xavier more than just something physical?

First, the good. There are several *very* spicy scenes in "Love in 3D," which I totally appreciated. I can't deny that a few of the sexy lines of dialogue are kind of cringeworthy, though. I first found myself invested in Justine and Xavier's deepening connection, and I rooted for them the entire novel...until the end, which I will explain in a minute. The secondary characters like Auggie (who is a weight-lifting phenom), Katie (Justine's supportive, foul-mouthed best friend), Aunt Rosie (who galavants around the world looking for friends of the male persuasion, if you catch my drift), Top (aka Max, the crotchety old super. of the building), and Benji (a computer coder and video game enthusiast) are also really fun! I liked the way these zany people all integrated into the story, though I have a hunch some readers might think they are thrown haphazardly into each other's lives for no reason other than padding page numbers.

Now, the bad. I must say, I did not like the ending. It's predictable, which I can excuse, but I did not believe that Xavier really ever questioned his love for or commitment to Justine. The third-act conflict is silly and pointless. I also found myself wanting a little more Aunt Truth integration throughout the story.

Overall, "Love in 3D" is a familiar but fun and alluring romance.

Thank you to NetGalley, Marie Harte, and No Box Books for providing me with an ARC copy of this book! All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for my review in any way.

What a fun book! Love in 3D is a lighthearted story with lots of humor and a quirky loveable cast. Justine and Xavier are a hoot and the supporting characters are just as much fun! And truthfully the epilogue is the best! Looking forward to more books about this group of off-the-wall friends & family!

Dear Aunt Truth: Thanks for taking the time to answer me. I got 99 problems but a Mitch ain’t one. My life is complicated. I have enough trouble dealing with my jerk of a boss, my overbearing parents, an awful bridesmaid’s dress, and my way too sexy downstairs neighbor. He’s the real problem.

The good news is we’re friends. Xavier is smart, kind, and heck, I’ll say it—beyond nice to look at. But when my mom forces me into a plus-one situation for my sister’s wedding, I lie and tell her I’m bringing Xavier—my new (fake) boyfriend. He’s up for tricking my parents, especially if I return the favor with his mom, acting as his new (again, fake) girlfriend. Except somehow I find myself liking him a lot more than I should. And, well, things are getting heated, especially in the bedroom. I’m falling in love. And I’m not sure what to do about it.

Love in 3D is a friends-to-lovers, fake-boyfriend romance. This is a simple, light and cute love story. Maybe it will not give you all the feels but definitely some. The gradual relationship build between the main couple as well as between the main female character and the other tenants of the apartment block made it easier to get to know them and made them all the more likeable. It didn't feel unrealistic or like the relationship was rushed as sometimes it can with romance novels. There are several spicy scenes and I thought they were well done. I really enjoyed reading the development of their relationship and the progression from friends with benefits to more. The only downfall was the Aunt Truth's timeline went nowhere. But overall, a fun, quick read for the summer.

I binged this one! I love this insta-connection that begins as friends, turned fake dating, turned fated mates. I love the banter, the super supportive best friend, and the focus on mental health, overcoming fear, and standing up for your self. This book it all! Banter, humor, spice, multiple tropes, and a focus on mental health, acceptance, and knowing your worth. I thoroughly enjoyed Xavier and Justine's story. I loved that he let her set the pace and boundaries of their relationship. The spice was 🔥! I couldnt put this one down. I took this one everywhere to read because I was so in love with their relationship and all of the characters.

Unfortunately I just don’t think this book was for me. I really thought I would enjoy it based on the premise about an apartment romance. But I really struggled with connecting with the story and the characters. I don’t think it’s a book issue it’s definitely a me the reader issue: I truly hope the author has great success on publication day.

I won’t post my review anywhere else because I don’t want to cloud other readers judgement of this book!

This was a really fun book, if sometimes a little predictable. Justine and Xavier were both very likable and easy to root for, and I really enjoyed the ease of their conversations. She had a lot going on in her life, not always good, and he was such a supportive listener, a great sounding board, and such a hype man.

Some of the supporting characters were fantastic (Auggie and Benji!) while some felt a little bit like caricatures (especially both of Justine’s sisters and their less than ideal husbands). The plot was great, but there were times when the writing felt a little clunky and kept a scene from flowing smoothly.

My main issue with the book is the third act conflict. Throughout the novel, I never got the impression that Xavier had issues with commitment, so that felt a bit out of left field, as if there just needed to be something to impede how well their growing relationship was going.
It felt too cliche, coming out of nowhere like that, and I felt like the rest of their arc deserved better.

Oh. And the Aunt Truth plot line kind of went nowhere.

But overall, it was a light, fun read!

Ahhh, I thought this was so cute!! 😍 And definitely steamy. 😉

Justine is dealing with a lot. Her pushy boss, overbearing parents, and now she’s living in her aunts apartment for the next 3 months. Now she’s got a new problem and he comes with a nosy twin sister. Xavier isn’t looking for another relationship, especially since his ex is still bothering him. Their friendship is easy and fun, and neither want to risk that. Fake dating seems easy enough to get their families off their backs but they never expected how easy it would actually be. Are they willing to go the long run?

I enjoyed this so much! Justine is so sweet and sometimes she lets people walk all over her but she really gains her backbone and voice. I loved watching her grow and find her worth. The chemistry between her and Xavier is off the charts! But I especially loved how their friendship starts and grows, then eventually leads to more - it’s my absolute favorite. I also really loved the side stories of Xavier’s mom and sister finding love in the least likely place. Everything about this book was amazing and I can’t wait for the next one! Highly recommend!

A fake dating friends to lovers story. Love both main characters. Both main characters need a date to fool their friends and family. Eventually they fall in love for real. They are so cute together. Love the slow burn attraction. A fun, light-hearted romantic story.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

When Justine moves into her Aunt’s apartment while she’s away she doesn’t expect to meet and adore so many people in the building, especially not Xavier.

This was a cute story with colourful characters that were fun to read! I found myself a little bit confused in the beginning of the story and found it hard to follow but a few chapters in and that was remedied in no time. Justine and Xavier were a cute match and they had some very hot and spicy scenes. Though I found their spicy times a little rushed (I thought they happened very quickly for just having met), I still enjoyed reading the development of their relationship and the progression from friends with benefits to more.

Overall a very cute and quick read!!

This is a simple, light and cute love story. Maybe it will not give you ALL the feels but definitely SOME.

Justine recently broke up with her boyfriend and had to move out of her apartment. Luckily her favorite aunt is going on a trip to Europe and Justine can stay at her place for a few months. The apartment complex is cozy with a bit of a Friends vibe. There’s a grumpy super, an introverted nerd and a cop raising two teenage nephews. And there’s Xavier - a hottie from 2C.

Xavier is perfect; handsome, polite and smart. He is currently on sabbatical from his therapist job and has a lot of time on his hands which he is very much willing to spend with his new neighbor.

Justine and Xavier hit it off almost immediately but they were both in denial, which was a little annoying. First they were insisting on staying in the friend zone despite obvious attraction on both sides. I get it, they were recovering from bad breakups, but it felt forced that they both held off. Then they got closer and closer, finally started sleeping together but still insisted on being a “fake” couple. I didn’t get it, I half expected them to get married and have babies and still claim it wasn’t for real.

Another thing; Justine’s aunt had an advice column and Xavier helped her to run it. It’s an amazing idea with so much comedy potential! I was so disappointed that this topic was completely brushed aside.

However my biggest issue with this book was the writing style. Most of the time it felt detached and emotionless which bothered me especially when a moment cried for more life.
There’s a scene when all tenants have a water balloons fight. I love the idea!! This scene should have been vibrant, full of color, noise and laughter. Unfortunately it was described in such dispassionate manner that it felt flat.

I got used to the writing at some point so the second part of the book worked better. Especially since the story was captivating enough and there was plenty of good spice which is what every romance reader needs.

What I also appreciated was how the mental health topic was handled. Xavier needed a break from his job and it was presented as the most normal thing in the world. No judgment whatsoever, so big kudos for it.

To sum up I had some issues with this book but I enjoyed it nonetheless!
