The premise of Noonday Dark by Charles Demers states it is a gripping psychological mystery starring investigator Dr. Annick Boudreau. Annick is shaken when the Vancouver Police inform her that her patient, Danielle, has disappeared, and they believe she committed suicide. But, having worked with Danielle through her depression, Annick is convinced that she was getting better and decides to investigate.

This is book 2 of the series. I did not read the first book, and I don't feel I missed anything by not reading book 1.

I had a difficult time liking these characters, and the writing fell a little flat for me. I thought the story would be more twisty and gripping, but I found myself slogging through the pages. By the end, I didn't really care what the outcome would be.

I would give this a 3 out of 5 stars.

I received an ARC of, Noonday Dark, by Charles Demers. Dr. Annick is shocked when her patient, Danielle is said to have committed suicide. Dr Annick does not believe she killed herself. I felt this book to be boring and flat.

This book had light suspense, intrigue, murder, mystery, and good detective work! It had a bit of a who done it too! it wasn't really my type of book?! It was a decent read and worth reading but just ok for me! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
