I loved this one ALMOST as much as Lovelight Farms (mainly because I have a weakness for Christmas). I loved how Beckett and Evelyn’s difference complimented each other instead of drove them apart. I love getting to see more of the people in the town of Inglewild as well!

Insta-star Evelyn St. James is feeling burnt-out and restless. She decides to return to Lovelight Farms, the Christmas tree farm she recently visited that, for a brief time, made her feel at peace. She's on a journey to find her happy and hopes that maybe it could be there. What else happens to be there? Beckett: a farmer who lives at Lovelight Farms whom Evie had a tryst with one incredible weekend in Maine. While the grumpy farmer and disenchanted social media influencer seem to have nothing in common, it turns out that perhaps they're both searching for the same exact thing.

The second book in the Lovelight series was just as magical as the first. I'm so glad there's still another book to read in this series! Thank you, Netgalley, for the ALC!

I’ve had In the Weeds on my TBR forever so when I got a chance to listen to the audiobook I was very excited. Let me tell you, I recommend this audiobook. Both of the narrators were fantastic. This book was highly anticipated after the first book in the Lovelight series and it does not disappoint. So happy Beckett and Evie got their happily ever after (could’ve happened a lot earlier without their miscommunications, what do you expect).
Thank you netgalley and dreamscape media for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book has been on my TBR since I saw a small clip about it on tik Tok a few months ago and it did not disappoint. This story was so adorable and just steamy enough to scratch my steam itch ( although I wish it was more steamy). I think I am secretly a second chance romance person and I didn't realize it until now. I am not a super angsty person, I don't like confronting my feelings but this book had just enough angst without going overboard. I would highly recommend if you are like me and don't really read second chance romance but want to did your toe in.

I loved In the Weeds by B.K. Borison - Evie and Beckett are an easy couple to root for!! If a kitten loving, tattooed, broody cinnamon roll Christmas tree farmer doesn't interest you (how can it not?!) perhaps this book isn't for you. C'mon now, you know that sounds DELICIOUS! One-night-stand turns second chance, close proximity love story - with very real representation of the societal pressures social media has on our generation and mental health/neurodivergence (Beckett has sensitivity to sounds and crowds, thought I may be misremembering I don't think it ever gave an actual reason/diagnoses.. sensory processing disorder? anxiety? both? other?) My only complaint is the miscommunication in the end truly could've been avoided.. but then we wouldn't have a conflict to resolve I guess. I can't wait to go back and listen to Lovelight Farms - I hadn't realized it was a series until after starting In the Weeds.

The narration was great - just slow, so I often listened at 1.75x-2x for comfortable listening.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this ALC!

I enjoyed the narration in this audiobook. The story is well-written and leisurely, the language beautiful and sultry. I’m not sure why it’s categorized as humor. It’s the opposite of that—intense and emotional. If I liked that kind of book, I would keep reading. But I was expecting a rom com, and this is not it. DNF.

Beckett and Evelyn have an intense one night stand. They are both surprised to see each other again when Evelyn visits Lovelight Farms for a contest she's running. Evelyn leaves Beckett again and he decides to put her out of his mind for good.

Evelyn is starting to feel more and more unsatisfied with her work. She thinks back to when she felt the happiest and Lovelight Farms fills her mind. Will she find her way back to a fulfilling life out with the trees? And maybe the farmer who cultivates them?

A great second chance love with close proximity thrown in there too! I just love Inglewild and the whole cast of characters. Narration was lovely! I loved the dual POV narration with 2 preformers.

Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.

Just finished the first book in this series last night and had to immediately start this one. Not disappointed at all! Another adorable read. I'm not always a huge romance fan but these are too good to pass on. The narrators were great as well. I will definitely be looking into reading more!

At this point, I’d read BK Borison’s grocery list. She is a master of making a scene feel so alive. The details are incredible! I believe Inglewild exists and would like to live there, please.

I really enjoyed Luka & Stella in Lovelight Farms, but maybe Beckett & Evelyn have inched into first place? I am so excited that there are still 2 more books to read because I am not ready to be done with this little town.

In the Weeds is the second book in the Lovelight Farms series, and although I think it can be read as a stand-alone, you really should just read Lovelight Farms first. In the Weeds is a dual POV, second chance, grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity, delight with cute animals to boot.

I really enjoyed Evie’s storyline and how her burnout lead her to reevaluate her path. One night stands and second chance isn’t usually a favourite for me, but I felt like it worked here. The narration was well done and easy to listen to.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the advance audiobook through NetGalley.

This book is a good sequel to Lovelight Farms. We follow Beckett and Evelyn from the first book. While the story is super cute, the problem is that the story starts so abruptly, I thought I had missed something.

This is the second book in the lovelight farms series and it was just as lovely. Of course I loved seeing the main couple from the first book as well, but it focuses on social media influencer Evelyn St James from the first book, and Stella’s business partner Beckett.

Evelyn and Beckett had an awkward moment in the previous novel in which they were face to face again after having a one night stand months ago while on a business trip and never expected to see each other again. This book starts after the first book ended, but references the first book’s events and catches us up on what happened between them and where they stand.

Evelyn is burnt out with social media and decides to go back to LF to find her happy, since she had a such a great time during her last visit. I loved the foreshadowing for this in the first book without it being too obvious (and didn’t reveal her inner thoughts). I loved Evelyn’s journey to find her happy again and come to terms with how she wants to proceed moving forward.

I normally hate miscommunication as a trope, but Borison has proved yet again that it can be done realistically and in a way that isn’t infuriating. The miscommunication is realistic in that it actually makes sense, and the reasons for a character misunderstanding something are made clear by their triggers and past experiences, but isn’t infuriating because it’s resolved sooner WITH communication which is also based in realism.

I really hope there’s a third book!

Absolutley loved this story. The grumpy sunshine trope worked really well with these characters and I couldn't get enough of them! Definielty does not have the second book syndrome- I actually think I loved this more than the first book!

#LovelightFarms was totally one of those #BookstagramMadeMeDoIt reads, and it was totally worth the hype. Easy but totally engaging and just totally swoonworthy. And so when I saw that In The Weeds was publishing this past spring, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Both books are a “typical” small town romance, If you enjoy the #ContemporaryRomance genre, you won’t want to miss them. The characters are great, the writing is easy and relaxing and I love the romances the author creates between her characters. The narration was perfectly done and I enjoyed it so much. ⁣

This sequel highlighted characters who played smaller roles in her previous book and I love when writers do that. I am just about to start Mixed Signals and can't wait for another book in this series!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for my gifted copy to read and review.

This book was released in the Spring of 2022 which perfectly matches the setting of the story. I was provided the audiobook for review. The narration was excellent and got better as the story continued. The book has dual POV and the two narrators chosen were green. Dane Anderson was a perfect “grump” voice. They yawned their lines when notated in the book and sighed as needed. Very well done narration for this very charming story.

In the Weeds is the second novel in B. K. Borison’s Lovelight series. The main characters of this story, Becket Porter and Evelyn St. James, first met months before the first novel in the series, Lovelight Farm. In a rare occasion for both of them, their initial meeting led to a two night stand followed by Evelyn’s disappearance.

When Evelyn, a well established social influencer, arrives at Lovelight Farm as part of a small business contest her famous blog is holding, both Evelyn and director of operations, farmer Becket, are taken aback when their paths cross again. They self consciously danced around each other, barely talking until Evelyn disappeared once more.

But both are unsettled afterward. Evelyn, whose travel and posting had been so fulfilling, now felt empty. Her heart just wasn’t in it anymore. Meanwhile, Becket is going through the motions while daydreaming about a certain dark haired beauty. So much so that the spring night Becket sees Evelyn leaving the bed and breakfast he at first thinks he’s still dreaming. And the story evolves from there.

This is a lovely story and I am very much enjoying this series. I look forward to the next book in the series and do recommend both this book and the series!

Reviewed for NetGalley:

I listened to the audiobook version.

I had a difficult time connecting with the narration, so could not get into the story, unfortunately.

This second chance romance was endearing and steamy! The narrators for our two MCs did an excellent chance bringing the characters to life.

I give 3 🌶s, and would recommend to anyone who can handle the heat!
