First of all a romance book taking place in Paris…sign me up. I did really enjoy how the author used Paris in the story, whether it be the apartment the female characters were staying in, the market or the sights, the history or the energy Paris gives is a great addition. Book had a lot of interesting little sub plots which I do wish were more expanded upon in the story. I would describe it as a lot of brief little tastes of something intriguing but nothing that really satisfied me. If you like books set in Paris definitely did this one a try. Thanks to bookouture for the ARC. I received a complimentary copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Pub date 10/21/2022.

Have you been to Paris?

Tilly Tennant provides the reader with beautiful descriptions of Paris at Christmas that the reader cannot help imagining they are there themselves. However, those same descriptions are also a road block for the reader. I spent so much time wading through the descriptions that I could barely focus on the characters and their moments of dialogue. Yet, when the characters do present themselves Tennant has developed Felicity and Brooke to show what true friendship is and how to stand by one other when one needs it the most. The book is a nice tribute to Paris and any reader will fall in love with the atmosphere.

The queen of feel-good fiction, and this Yuletide yarn certainly ticks all our boxes. A seasonal romance as warm and welcome as a mug of mulled wine. You’ll want to curl up with a hot choc to read this warm hug of a festive book.

I’ve really been getting into Parisian themed books since studying French in college as well as bring a Emily In Paris mega fan. Brooke was a great heroine she was so relatable as everyone has been through a similar situation with her previous boyfriend. Enter sexy Armand who brings back the fire of possible love to Brooke. Although like any good romance he is hiding potential secrets or suspicions that make Brooke repulsing yo open her heart. Tilly always writes amazing fleshed out characters with rich description and beautiful scenery. I felt like I was in Paris with Brooke. I was also curious to see if Armand would turn out to be a great live for Brooke or if someone else she met on her journey would be endgame as well. It was beautifully written and I flew through it in one weekend and I highly recommend it to long time fans of Tully’s or first time readers. You won’t be disappointed

First off let's start by saying you can't get much better than a Christmas book set in Paris. What I really enjoyed about reading this book was the unique way I got to experience romance during the holidays in my favourite city without ever leaving my chair. While this book clearly falls in the romance genre, it also held my attention with a bit of mystery and the conclusion left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. I quickly fell in love with the protagonist, Brooke and really wanted her to open up and give love a second chance. She has a strong sense of self worth and valued her long time friendships. Brooke had her Bridget Jones's moment on Christmas Eve when she goes after her love. It was refreshing to read a story that didn't have a perfect romance because it made it more relatable. At the 75% mark, I did find the story dragged on a bit and hit a lull but I was invested in Brooke’s happiness to continue to the end. I felt her and Armand’s relationship had genuine chemistry. After reading this book it makes me want to book a flight to Paris over Christmas just to experience the romance and the holidays!

A cute hallmark like story.
I liked the characters for the most part buy felt the story dragged quite a bit at points. The drama seemed an odd fit and the resolution seemed too easy.
Overall a decent easy read. Will be good to read during the holidays.

The city of love…or a it? This is a story that is fiction but reads like nonfiction. Having been dumped by her love, the main character goes to Paris. What will happen? Will she find love again? Which man? How will she get over what has happened? Family and friends…love and romance…this book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. The story does move slowly at times, and it is often confusing…

This was an enchanting little story of love and the ups and downs of life. I absolutely love Christmas and this was the perfect read to bring Christmas a little earlier this year.

Only thing I didn’t love was the beginning, I wish the break up would have been the other way around. It was clear that Brooke deserved a lot better.

I liked how Paris, already city of love, was portrayed as a new beginning!

This was also my first read from the author, the atmosphere of the book was very similar to Sarah Morgan’s stories, so if you’re looking for this type of books, I would highly recommend reading Christmas in Paris!

I absolutely love this authors books and this delightful and charming read was no exception. I adore Paris so was amazing to visit it again from the comfort of my armchair and to revisit places that I was lucky to see on my visit to the city several years ago whilst reading the beautiful descriptions and taking in the sights and sounds and smells which the author made jump of the page and made you feel like you were walking the streets of montmatre or taking in the sights of the Eiffel Tower.

This book was filled with lots of romance sparkle and Christmas joy and feel good moments although the characters love lives as in real life were not always plain sailing.

This was a perfect cosy escapist festive read.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and Tilly Tennant for letting me listen to “Christmas in Paris” in exchange for an honest review. After being dumped by her boyfriend, Brooke travels to Paris for Christmas to Escape. She meets Frenchman Armand and is happy to take on a 'no strings attached' fling after being hurt my her ex. Armand definitely isn't acting like it's a fling, and Brooke starts to let her guard down.

I've been so Paris, and this book sets the stage so perfectly. It makes me want to go back at Christmastime! It's a feel good-holiday romance with a beautiful setting. A perfect book to read by the fire with a glass of wine.

When Brooke arrives in Paris at Christmas, it feels like the perfect place to escape after being dumped by her long-term boyfriend. And while her head might be turned by the romance of couples strolling arm in arm along the riverbank, and the air scented with chocolat chaud, her heart remains firmly under lock and key this trip is going to be about her.
Brooke might be able to resist the charms of one persuasive Frenchman who takes her to some of Paris’s most romantic spots, but when a chance encounter leads her to green-eyed Armand with his dark wavy hair and warm smile, she is annoyed to feel her heart skip a beat…
Still, what’s the harm of a holiday romance with no strings attached? Brooke is sure she can play it cool. But when Armand opens his heart to her in a candlelit restaurant and kisses her at the top of the Eiffel Tower, she throws caution to the wind. Armand isn’t her ex and doesn’t she deserve a second chance at love?
But when Armand begins to blow hot and cold, she wonders if she has been taken for a fool. Why does he never answer his phone? Who is the mysterious tall blonde French woman who always seems to be watching Brooke? And when Armand leaves Paris without warning as Christmas Eve approaches, should Brooke try and find out more about the stranger she has found herself falling for?
Really enjoyable read totally recommend
