This book touches on body positivity and sex positivity. Which was needed. Though it was a pass for me. The character of Baylee, was to unlikeable. She was just very selfish and deceptive. I wasn’t a fan of the ending either.

I honestly loved how messy baylee is because? As a teenager, a fat one at that? I identified with almost everything she said, every inner thought. So while it was kind of annoying, i realize that they're things that i would do too.
This was a good read, even though i imagined I'd like it alot more. thank you netgalley and co for this arc<3

I enjoyed reading a book that was body and sex positive. I think we need more books that talk about people exploring their sexuality in a consensual but not necessarily serious relationship. Especially young women. I did think that things were wrapped up to quickly and easily at the end with more telling than I like. I enjoyed her debut novel more but I will recommend this to my students.

I love the positive body message, to love oneself, and the sex positivity sprinkled throughout this book. That being said I have to be honest this wasn’t a book I liked much. I didn’t like the main character because she was dishonest, disrespectful, and too selfish. I understand that Baylee needed to explore her relationships but when there was a lockdown due to COVID and she disregarded the rules, that was a huge letdown. Alex deserved more respect that what she received from Bailee. The deceit and lying was a huge turn off. And I had a hard time with that. Lastly, the ending. Nope I didn’t like it at all. Arghhh, this book was a bit of a letdown for me. Oh well, this was just my opinion but I believe this book will do well for others.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my ARC in exchange for my review.

A highly-bingeable young adult novel about Baylee, a fat teen, trying to navigate the world of family, dating, love, sexuality, and sex all while living in a fat body during Covidian times.

The narrative about the world against fat bodies and how the world isn’t made for them rings true but gives hope for future generations.

This read much like Leah Albertalli and the Simonserse books. The characters are relatable, the dialogue is realistic, and it’s a fun read.

Thanks to HarperTeen and Netgalley for the chance to review an ARC.

this was a beautifully done accepting yourself story, it was written really well and did what I wanted it to. The characters worked in this world and felt like real people. I liked the way M-E Girard wrote this and look forward to more from M-E Girard.

"Finally, I’m called away from the waiting room, into an actual small room with a stretcher where I see the doctor for maybe five minutes. She seems pretty confident that whatever I smooshed is minor, and my nose doesn’t need realignment or anything like that. A nurse swoops over, handing me some Advil and a cup with barely an ounce of water."

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to read!
I binged this book! Read it in 6 hours! Very good, I love all the books coming out now of heavy girls having a normal life I’m high school and the dating realm! It bounces a bit but overall excellent book. Will buy this to reread!

Bayleee has a crush on her friend Freddie. He is popular and attractive and she doesn't think she has a chance with him. One day she meets a girl name Alex at her favorite coffee place. They have instant chemistry and she is glad someone like her for her . But soon after that, she catches her so called best friend trying to make a move on Frsddie. This cause her to confess her feelifnto Frddie and all he'll breaks loose lol. This is a heart warming coming of age novel.
