This book is about the conception and life of Roger Oar. Although it has a few triggers such as rape, racism and blasphemy the book is very humorous and reminded me of Forrest Gump he starts out with everything against them and yet like Midas succeed that everything he touches. He’s known by the most popular of people past and present and although a lot of the book is told in a third-party point of view it is still well told it’s super funny. He’s also seen and seems to have done it all, Just be warned it’s a very long book but once you get into it with the exception of the triggers you really don’t want to stop and that’s only if those things trigger you. I found this book to be really funny and if you like humorous fiction you’ll love Roar! I really enjoyed this book with the exception of the blasphemy which was jokes about God and sex and I found them very disgusting and pointless you could be funny without saying such tasteless jokes but besides that the rest of the book was really good. I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

An extraordinary metatextual rendering of a legendary, fictional Hollywood auteur. Wagner eviscerates the mythologising of the film industry and literati in a fierce satire on the excesses and mores of pop culture. I was gobsmacked and thrilled by the audacity! Utterly compelling.
