Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I know that coming into the last book in the series as my first read is not the best way to appreciate the novel or the author. This series is a genre I enjoy and I like the fact that Sarah is an English author and the book is set here although I spotted a couple of American spellings within the text. There are lots of characters in the book, so the list at the beginning is helpful but as there are families and friends the best way to get to know who is who is to read the series. This book centres on Nick (who has not been certain he wants to stay in the area) and Aurora (who has a career just taking off in America).
I liked the inclusion of the Christmas wedding in the story, although I thought Christmas Day was played down somewhat. Aurora is a celebrity so social media features heavily in the storyline; I do not engage with this but understand the relevance to younger people. The language used was not particularly strong but much more frequent than I use or hear within my everyday life, it was not to my taste. I liked the fact that the novel was not full of explicit scenes, it was definitely romantic. I am sure this story will appeal to many younger readers of romantic sagas although it was not for me so I have given it an average scoring.

Seriously good! This book was a fantastic romantic comedy, made even better with the holiday spin. I loved it!

Okay, okay. Full disclosure. The beginning of the story had me second guessing myself. When we first meet the Morgans, they are quite a bunch, with many stories to share, many life events going on, and everyone trying to be together to celebrate it, while sorting through their own issues in their head. Case in point, Nick. With all the hubbub going on, it was losing me, so if you're an easily turned DNF type of reader, I beg you to push through that part to get to the good stuff, because seriously, there is LOTS of good stuff.

Aurora was an interesting character. I loved seeing how she mentally split from the public persona to who she was at heart when the limelight was off. That's not to say she wasn't true to herself in either case, but she could turn on the extra wattage smile, the extra layer of aloofness needed to battle through the publicity. I loved that she showed the business as it is and as it could be. She held her ground, had a good moral support team in her agents, and was just plain likeable...even if she did break out boy Nick's heart, once upon a time. Nick was memorable on his on terms. Though wafting through life untethered at the moment, he still led with his heart, and would do anything for those he loved...even those he loved once upon a time. When he comes to her rescue after a less-than-simple ask, old flames have a way of reigniting, and sometimes it's all about the timing. Do these two have what it takes to weather the past AND the present for a Christmas better than all the rest? You'll have to read it to find out, but jolly old St. Nick has been known to pull some miracles out of that red sack of his before.

A great read for fans of the series, and a wonderful way to step into the upcoming holiday reading season...

What a lovely second chance romance this proved to be,
Set in this delightful, supportive community.
With family and friends all working together
No one minds the dreadful inclement weather!

A pop star who has travelled far
But publicity sometimes hits below par.
Accusations, insinuations and lots more
Have Aurora Storm looking for the exit door.

When things go wrong, dramatically so,
New plans are made where she should go.
She's returning to Mermaids Point again
To Nick Morgan who'll help ease her pain.

Snowstorms, Christmas, family, paparazzi, too
Manipulating stars, what next will they do?
Is a life of fame what she really aims for
Or will she find another life that she'll adore?

So sad this is the last story in this set
They're all fantastic, but this is probably the best yet!
The visits to Mermaids Point have all been great
So for the next series, Juniper Meadows, I just can't wait!

For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
I throughly enjoyed reading it and this is my honest review.

YES! Sarah did it again! I've read all the other Mermaids Point books too, and it was so good seeing some of my favourite characters again. I absolutely loved this book, it reminded me a bit of It Happened One Summer. Mermaids Point feels a bit like home after four books, so it's very bittersweet seeing it come to and end. If you like cozy books, Christmas, and easy feel-good stories... then definitely read this!

I enjoyed visiting Mermaids Point once again, but am sad that the series is ending and I have to say goodbye to these wonderful characters. In the first book of the series, we meet Aurora Storm, an actress/singer who had been hired to pretend to be a mermaid. In that story she and Nick had a few sparks, but she left to pursue her career. In Happy Endings at Mermaids Point, Aurora is back. She has been a target of malicious social media bashing and heads to Mermaids Point to hide out and spend time in the only place where she has ever felt welcome for being herself. Nick is thrilled to have her back and his feelings were quickly rekindled. He never stopped caring about Aurora. With a marriage coming up (Nessa and Tom), Aurora is quickly pulled into the community and family. As she spends more time in Mermaids Point, she begins to realize that she is happy here and maybe needs to settle down and begin a new life.

I love this community and the characters that inhabit it. Nessa and Tom are finally getting married and all their close friends and family are around to support and celebrate. Nessa's family has lived in Mermaids Point for years, so everyone has wanted her to be happy. Aurora has been invited, but she is constantly worried about taking the spotlight off the happy couple. I am not a huge social media junkie, and the way the social media platforms can destroy someone's life really bothers me. People jump on the bandwagon without knowing the real facts behind a story. Nick is a sweetheart who has been looking for happiness, but his heart was always with Aurora. He is so caring, patient, insightful and lovable. All I will say about this story is that it is a wonderful ending to this series, bringing everything full circle and with closure. There is a nod to the "Me Too" movement which fit this story perfectly. If you enjoy stories that include Christmas, family, pets, friendship, community, second chances, hope and of course, romance and love then I recommend this book.

This book brings the Mermaids Point series to an end and it is a very fitting way.
I found the prologue off putting due to the sheer number of characters listed in it (even though I have read the rest of the Mermaids Point series). I'm glad that I stuck with it as I really enjoyed the book and it is a fun, festive read with a happy ending (although the clue is in the title!)

I was super excited to hear this book was being released as I absolutely love reading books by this wonderful author and I have loved this series.

Over this series we have spent time with Laurie, Ivy and Nerissa and gotten to know these wonderful ladies and their families. In this story it is picked up with Aurora who was in the beginning of the series and now working in America whilst Nick is moving on with his life after completing the warehouse conversion.

I quickly found myself immersed in the story as I remembered these wonderful characters and where we had last left the story. I always find that with books by this author, I just want to keep reading. They always have such a feel good factor about them whilst having the ability to make you laugh and occasionally cry throughout.

I am so sad to have reached the end of this series, but I absolutely loved revisiting Mermaids Point and watching Nerissa marrying the lovely Tom and seeing who would also find their happily ever afters

Happy Endings At Mermaids Point - Sarah Bennett

Aurora Storm, Uber famous pop star is caught in a clinch that was innocent but causes a storm on social media. Desperate to distract from the story she asks for help from Nick Morgan, a man she trusts to pretend to be her boyfriend. Nick is still carrying a torch for her from the couple of weeks they spent together the previous year and he jumps at the chance to help her and make the most of being thrown together.

Aurora joins Nick and his family for festive celebrations and is caught up in the romance of it all, but can she turn her back on pop stardom for village life? And can Nick prove that happy endings really do happen in only 2 weeks?

‘A couple of weeks pretending to be in love with the only woman I know who’s been able to get close enough to you to break your heart,’

Oh I just squeaked and rubbed my hands together with glee over this. I sort of had the picture of what may happen and I WANTED it too! I was not disappointed! This is a totally christmas-tastic book full of snow, joy and is so festive! I’ve said it before, this genre often contains difficult themes woven in to a wonderful love story and Sarah Bennett really hits the mark. A fabulous cast of characters, loads of romance, the sea. It is just luscious!!

Beautifully festive and full of joy, many, many stars to this one!

Sarah's books are always a delight. This final trio to Mermaids Point didn't disappoint.

Nick hasn't really got over Aurora, although he feels his feelings are a hiding to nothing because she's not only famous but living abroad.

But when things go wrong, she turns to Nick for help.

Love Sarah Bennett books and this one doesn't disappoint, lovely setting and a wonderful storyline of how two completely different lives can come together as one
A Cozy little village with wonderful characters and so descriptive you feel like you are part of the story, I want to move to mermaid point

This felt like an appropriate conclusion to the series as a whole. Generally, I would have liked a different ending to some degree, but I will not go further into that because it would mean revealing a little too much.
I would not recommend coming into this series at this point, although it technically can work as a standalone. I did not enjoy the first in the series but trusting the author and my previous experiences with her books, I picked up the next when I got the chance and enjoyed every following book.
We have a robust local community with the usual suspects regarding well-behaved and nosy people. This time, more than ever before, their mettle is tested as a very famous person comes to hide out. Aurora Storm was introduced in the very first book, and there were subtle mentions of her and her impact on the only bachelor remaining in the main family circle.
Hers and Nick's story is now finally getting its day in the sun(not literally, since its Christmas).
I was pleasantly surprised by my reaction to this pair. Given the hype and the fact that this was a running plot point behind everyone else's, I did not expect there to be too much depth to Aurora's struggles. I was wrong on all counts. Since there is already history, the book focuses on the individual and their aspirations, different from what their parents imagined.
It is a solid entry for the series and another positive set for my experiences with the author's works. I would recommend this series as a whole to others who are fans of this genre and who are looking for a cozy emotional read.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Is it very wrong of me to dream of being kidnapped by the Morgan family and forced to live in Mermaids Point?
The Morgans and the Nelsons are such wonderful people and so welcoming. They are all there for each other, loving, but also teasing each other and just being the best kind of family! Nick is very similar to his dad in the way he is really there for everyone and has such a great heart! I really enjoyed reading Nick & Aurora's story and catching up again with the other characters that we had gotten to know in the previous books. The romance is obviously there, but it's the gentle kind, more or less behind closed doors, which works perfectly for this type of feel good, heartwarming Hallmark style story. It would be amazing if this whole series was made into a a TV series. I would love every minute of it!

What a lovely book and also sad as it is the last in the series of Mermaid Point, the characters are so well written and likable, the area is so lovely and each book intertwines really well, this was a lovely send off to this story and I look forward to seeing what Sarah comes up with next,

I didn't realise this is actually the final book in a series. It read well as a standalone, although there are quite a few characters to get to know. The author has included a list of characters at the start which was useful but I think it would be lovely to read the series from the beginning to get to know them properly. Often funny and more often emotional, I loved Nick and Aurora's story. The characters around them were so beautifully written as well and I loved the sense of community, it would be a wonderful place to live. This will definitely be a new series for me to start, though I'm already sad it has ended, albeit in such a wonderful way.

It’s bittersweet coming to the end of a series I’ve really enjoyed, but I am always filled with the knowledge that Sarah will be bringing more new books to me in another wonderful community, so I only have good things to look forward to.

So I should start by saying how much I enjoyed this, although sad it’s ending, what a way to go out, although this is a series, these can be read as stand-alone and don’t need to have read the previous books, but you get so much more out of them if you do.

I loved Nick and Aurora's story, as always Sarah writes such gorgeous characters and I loved the focus on social media, the obsessiveness and the backlash showing how easily it can destroy someone. Nick is just everything, so supportive, patient, I just loved him and his family so much. I won’t say much more as don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s just a delight to read and such a lovely story.

If you want a story that includes Christmas, family, community, second chances, hope and of course, love then this book is for you. If you don’t enjoy these things, I bet you don’t believe in Father Christmas, the tooth fairy and don’t think kittens and puppies are cute, are you even human 🤣🤣

Thanks to Sarah Bennett, Boldwood Books, netgalley and Rachel’s Random Resources for a free ebook in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own and freely given.

It is bittersweet to read the last in the Mermaid's Point series but it does enable one last time to catch up on the characters we have met and to see what the future might hold for Nick. He has been part of previous novels but in this one, he gets to take centre stage. The close family are very much on hand for him but for quite some time, he has been keeping his feelings on the back burner concerning Aurora Storm. In this story, Aurora has to reassess her future, as well.

I loved this story. The strength of this series has been the gorgeous setting at Mermaid's Point. It has been a constant thread running through the story and the characters fitted into it perfectly. You can add into the mix all the trimmings of the festive season. There is a huge dollop of romance with a Christmas Eve wedding. Whether everyone gets their happy ending, remains to be seen. With a brisk plot and plenty of warmth and friendship, this is a lovely escapist hug of a story.

In short: second chance romance and festive warmth

Having never read the four previous Mermaids Point novels, I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the characters and situations in this novel, Happy Endings at Mermaids Point, but my fears were put to rest immediately. This book works perfectly well as a stand-alone story. And what a charming story it is. Early chapters include a lovely beach proposal for two of the older characters in this novel, and when we get far enough in that Aurora enters the story, we are ready for romance.

Aurora and Nick themselves are fantastic characters. She's a singer working in an ensemble tour in Las Vegas, and reflecting on her earlier relationship with Nick. Nick, meanwhile, has just finished remodeling a warehouse into luxury apartments, and is searching for his next venture for when the last apartment sells. Naturally Aurora returns to Mermaids Point  - and Nick - when her world falls apart mid-tour, and we get to see what happens. Both characters are incredibly dynamic and very human, and author Sarah Bennett's dialogue feels completely organic. I was rooting for these two, but I was also happy to follow wherever the story went.

The other characters in this novel were equally well drawn, and rounded out Nick's family, and the only reason I'm not naming all of them is that I don't want to get details wrong that might have been explained in earlier novels in this series. What I will add is that Mermaids Point is, itself, a sort of character in this novel. Having grown up in one beloved (American) seaside town, and having just moved to another, I know how close-knit such places can be, especially for the locals or townies who remain through the off-season. Author Bennett really made me feel as if I were reading her book while lying on the beach, and I'm pretty sure I can still smell the salt air.

As a side note, I downloaded the audio version of this novel as well as reading it and want to note that the narration is perfect, so if you prefer audiobooks, you can trust this title.

If you're looking for a feel-good read that still feels plausible, Happy Endings at Mermaids Point is the book for you.

Goes well with: tuna salad sandwiches wrapped in waxed paper, and mostly-still-cold lemonade.

Oh it's wonderful to be back in Mermaids Point again with all the gang. I love them all and it just feels so familiar and homely to be back there again. I now think of all the characters as friends and when I'm reading, I imagine myself as one of them, sharing in their journeys throughout life.

I am so pleased that Nick gets a story! It's been a constant thread throughout this linked series and we've had some small glimpses onto Aurora but it was great to finally meet her. Happy Endings at Mermaids Point works perfectly as a stand alone however I recommend reading the series in order to get a good understanding of the different relationships and their timeline.

Aurora is so well written and her vulnerable side was captured really well. This threw me a little as I was expecting a very different character from the snippets of her character that I had read before. The Morgans and Nelsons completely welcomed her into the fold and they were the right people at the right time for her to spend time with. The opening chapter of this book reallys sets the scene for the dynamics and love that the Nelson’s and Morgans have for each other and Mermaids Point. It was such a clever way to set the scene and introduce everyone to people new to the series.

This series started with Autumn/Winter and Christmas is such a perfect time to end the series, and with a much awaited wedding no less.

This is a perfect book to snuggle up with the winter and it has such a beautiful community vibe and gorgeous characters. I cannot believe it is the end of Mermaids POint but as always, I eagerly anticipate Sarah’s next book/series as each one takes me to a new place that I fall in love with.

Thank you to Rachels at Random Resources for my invitation to the blog tour and for my copy of the book via e book. I must firstly apologise for the delay in my post, unfortunately the Covid lurgy finally got me.

The book begins with us being introduced to Nick, a twenty something who is spending the day with his family and friends at the beach at Mermaids Point. He is trying without fail to get over Aurora who he met briefly at the point one summer.

Aurora, is a world famous singer and actress and is at the top of her game. We meet her in America as she is carrying out her final shows before Christmas, she has a wonderful career but her private life is not so fulfilled.

She is coming back to the UK to spend Christmas with her manager Dennis and his wife Hetty. Something happens and Aurora who is desperate contacts Nick to help her as someone she trusts. His family are understandably anxious that he doesn’t have his heartbroken again, will it work out this time ?

I always look forward to reading Sarah’s books, it’s always a joy to revisit characters and settings. Mermaids Point is a great small community with some real characters. This book has lots of ups and downs and if you have not read the other books in this fantastic series then you have a treat in store as you will get to know all the characters for yourself.

I loved how the book was set just before Christmas, and it gave me Love Actually and The Holiday feels, both films which I adore. It’s sparkly, Christmassy and a real comfort read with a side of hot chocolate. I throughly enjoyed it !
