Happy Endings at Mermaids Point is the final book in this brilliant series by Sarah Bennett. I’m gutted as I love this little community and it’s residents who we have come to know and love.
We had had to wait a while for this story – Aurora and Nick. We first came across Aurora in book one, when the town was whipped into a frenzy over mermaid sightings, but I am so glad we finally got to find out more about her as well as Nick, who I’ve felt really sorry for over the series of books.
Auroras career takes an unexpected turn and there is a social media frenzy, she needs to escape and turns to the man (and the place) where she can feel safe and secure. Nick and Mermaids Point; she knows she may not be welcome after the way she left things but has little option.
Nick is surprised to hear from Aurora, after all the time he has spent trying to get over her and move forward with his own plans but he won’t turn his back on someone in need.
I won’t ruin any of the story, but I enjoy seeing how the story plays out, we see a real change in Aurora (not that she was all bad at all) but being in Mermaids Point really suits her, so much so we find her making some really big decisions. Nick brings out the best in her, as she does in him – it is clear to see how happy is he with her around.
As always the community, and whole family, welcome Aurora with open arms, especially during the festive season. A wonderful Christmas read, full of heart warming, winter cheer. It’s a perfect end to a fantastic series, I shall miss the characters and the community but I will eagerly await more from Sarah.
Thank you for giving us a great series of books, I highly recommend Happy Endings at Mermaids Point but really recommend you start from book one and enjoy every moment!

#adpr Why have I not read any of this series before? Definitely going to give them a read as this is the last in the series and there's so much I've missed out on.

I love a good happy ending and a visit to Mermaid Point was just what I needed, everything sounds so lovely; the name, the community and it happened to be Christmas too.

Can you imagine having a Christmas Eve wedding?

Well written, with some fabulous characters who automatically felt like friends and an engaging storyline. I fell in love with Mermaid Point and didn't want my stay there to end.

Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

This book is so perfectly written pitching the emotion perfectly. I laughed, smiled and cried while reading this book. The narrative is heartwarming, and the Christmas spirit throughout the book makes it a wonderfully cosy read.
The family and friendship dynamics are woven through the story seamlessly and I couldn't put it down.
I haven't read any of this series til now but I will definitely pick up the rest soon because I need more. There are characters in this book every reader will relate to.. The story definitely felt like a hug in a book and if you like cosy romance this is a perfect read.

After finishing the book found out it the last book of a series but can be read as a standalone. That explains why I felt that all the mentions of characters felt weird to me hahaha but I did understand.

I really liked the characters!!The story is good, the writing felt so light, I never felt like the romance was too much it was actually really good because it's great when there's romance but also drama surrounding the characters. I like when it feels realistic and isn't all pink and flowers because that's not how life is.

Now... did I love the book? Nope. This characters have a bunch of meaningless conversations during the book and gets a point when it's too much. All her celebrity story was messy and in parts felt like it just wasn't it. The end was not for me at all and ugh nothing worse than a bad end. I would recommend it for those who like a light romance with no adrenaline and no sex hahaha. I really missed that, but many of you don't like steamy romance so maybe you'll like this one.

Fake dating
Small town
Really close family
Zero steam
Second chance romance
Great characters
Social media influence
Celebrity life

Happy Endings at Mermaids Point is the final book in this delightful series by Sarah Bennett. In the first book in the series Summer Kisses at Mermaids Point we briefly see Nick and Aurora, but we have had to wait for the final book in the series to finally get their story. This series is like happiness captured inside a bottle washed up on the beach at Mermaids Point. If you haven’t read the other books in the series I would recommend you starting with Summer Kisses and work through them in order, it’s definitely worth it!

In spite of having no contact with Nick for 18 months, when faced with a disastrous media barrage, Aurora immediately wants to run to Nick, her ‘safety’ from the frenzied world she exists in.

Arriving in Mermaids Point after Nick picks her up at the airport, complete with a lost dog they rescued on the journey, they prepare for Christmas together with Nick’s welcoming family and friends. I loved the way in which the community welcomed Aurora and immediately closed ranks around her to keep her safe from external pressures. Throw in Christmas celebrations, and the wedding of local doctor Tom and Nick’s aunt Nerissa, and it really couldn’t get much more festive. The Christmas Eve wedding was perfect, complete with a little snow.

Where I was unsure of Aurora in Summer Kisses, I felt we really got a clearer idea of her personality, and it was impossible not to love her, she had such a warm and giving heart, and she fitted into the heart of the community effortlessly. Throw in a curly-haired Poldark-esque hero in Nick and I was completely sold!

This was the perfect finale to one of my favourite romance series, and although I feel a little sad that it is the end, I just know that whatever Sarah Bennett writes next will have me completely transfixed.

Do you know, I’d got Aurora Storm all wrong – largely because of her involvement in the mermaid episode that brought visitors flocking to the Point, but also because she walked away and broke lovely Nick’s heart. But when we meet her in this book, she’s particularly lost, alone and hurting – she’s been the victim of a really nasty sting that’s created a media storm, and badly needs to disappear for a while to lick her wounds. And when she reaches out to Nick, all the hurt that went before is forgotten – he willingly steps in as her fake boyfriend, and provides the support and safe haven that she so desperately needs. And, of course, it’s not just Nick – the families embrace her with the same warmth they do everyone who needs their help. But when the fake relationship becomes something rather more – a romance I really believed in – and the media start to lose interest again, might Aurora just walk away again and leave Nick alone and hurting? Or will the magic of Christmas and the special time they spend together make her realise that her future could be something rather different?

As the last in a series I’ve so enjoyed, I had rather high expectations for this book – and I have to say that I thought it was absolute perfection. And I knew it would be from the very beginning – the opening chapter is just wonderful, reintroducing the Morgans and Nelsons, setting the scene, gently catching up with some of the back story, reminding you what a lovely community this is to be part of, such clever and accomplished writing. Every single character is wonderfully drawn, their own stories continuing from the earlier books – but no-one would really struggle if they picked up this lovely book as a standalone. The story, although written in the third person, is told very much from Aurora and Nick’s perspectives, and they’re both really sympathetic characters who you can’t help but take to your heart, hoping that there’s some chance of them both having a happy ending. And, of course, it’s Christmas – and it’s one with all the feels, as everyone comes together for a children’s party at Alex’s bookshop (fancy dress included – it’s just so lovely) and for the excitement of a long awaited Christmas wedding.

As always, the emotional content is just beautifully done – but there’s also a lovely lightness about the storytelling and plenty of gentle humour. While the primary focus is on the story of Nick and Aurora – and she won’t really break his heart again, will she? – I just loved being part of this wonderful community again for one last time, popping into the cafe and bookshop, walking on the beach, seeing what’s happened with the development on the quay (those apartments are just gorgeous – might there be a chance of one becoming available?), feeling the warmth of the hug the community always provides.

Every series has to come to an end – and for this one, the timing is undoubtedly right – but it certainly didn’t stop me having a little tear in my eye when all the loose ends were tied up neatly and I reached the book’s end. This was just the most perfect finale – bravo! The loveliest read, and highly recommended by me.

Aurora Storm arrives back in Mermaids Point. Will she find what she is looking for with Nick or will he be left once again? Throughout we see a different side to Aurora and learn a lot more about her. Hiding away from the press meaning a festive period with the Morgan’s.

A cosy festive read full of community and family. Perfect to cosy up with the familiar faces. It is the end of the series but could be read stand alone.

A good story again with group from Mermaid´s Point. Nick and Aurorás story. Overall I liked the story and characters. Or a fan of celebrity´s mixing with average, but liked this one. Would recommend.

I have only read this book from the series which is the last one, and feel I have missed out on a good series. I am sure I would have enjoyed this book more if I had read the others and knew the background in more detail.

Reviewing it as a stand alone, it had some good points such as the location and the strong community feel to Mermaids Point. The friendly and welcoming characters who took Aurora in to their tightly knit community and helped protect her from media scrutiny, despite her having walked out on Nick in the past.

I found Aurora far too ‘nice’, I found Nick to be a doormat in taking her back the first chance he got, but I did love Gabriel, the poor abandoned dog they rescued from the bad weather at a service station.

Oh how my heart loved this. I’ve been patiently waiting for Nick to get his happy ever after, just as I’m sure he has, and boy what a happy ending. I loved his utter devotion to Aurora and his unwavering support. His family and friends rallying round and supporting her, liking her simply because Nick does. Auroras heart is so big and her true beauty always shines through. I was a little sad that she didn’t get to win her parents over and even more sad that they couldn’t see what an amazing daughter they had raised and love and support her unconditionally like the Mermaid Cove residents, but I guess that’s life.
It was nice to see everyone again and get to be part of their world and see Tom and Nerissa get married. I’m sad it’s the last in the series, but at least everyone’s all lives up.

This is the final book in the series but can be read as standalone as the author gives a handy list of characters at the start.

I really enjoyed reading Nick and Aurora's story. Although Aurora has managed to get her career back on track, an unfortunate encounter with a big star knocks her off course when she is hit with social media backlash. She contacts Nick who agrees to help her despite harbouring feelings for her.

I like the way the author portrayed the characters. The storyline gives an insight to life today regarding social media and how easily it can destroy someone's career.

Throughout the angst Aurora is going through, Nick's family have her back and she is welcomed into village life.

A lovely read featuring self discovery, family, community spirit, oh, and a wedding at Christmas.

Thank you to #bookandtonic and #netgalley for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinion and to @rachelsrandomresources for inviting me to be part of the tour.

Good read. Great characters, enjoyed the setting, lots of side stories weaved into it and it flowed really well. A good read for a rubbish day. Will make you feel better!

The final book in a delightful series reunites two characters from the first book, whose passionate romance burnt out before it could develop into something good. Aurora achieved the fame she wanted but realised its fragility when social media judged her harshly when she wasn't at fault. She reaches out to Nick, the man she loved and left to help him rebuild her credibility. Nick has never got over Aurora and offers his support hoping his kindness won't mean further heartbreak.

A heartwarming festive read complete with Christmasy events and snow immerses the reader in the Mermaids point community and reacquaints devotees of the series with Nick's family and friends. Aurora's backstory explains her previous actions, and you hope she and Nick can find their happily ever after.

I love this lovely book's characters, festive settings, and charismatic animals.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Thank you #Boldwoodbooks, #netgalley and #rachelsrandomresources for allowing me to read and review this ARC.

I certainly love some of the names in the book that the author has chosen, and my heart belongs to Gabriel.
If you like me have read the whole Mermaids Point Series, this last visit will certainly feel daunting, but Sarah as ever doesn't disappoint. Book Shop Parties, Teenage Crushes, Inspiring Weddings, Snow, The seafront and its many familiar locals and the gorgeous snow that Lorelei Gilmore herself would be envious of, in the build up to Christmas. A beautiful end to a gorgeous series. I can't wait for the audible to be released so I can get into the Christmas spirit listening to the series.
I absolutely recommend this book and series.

I am new to this series and didn't realize that I was reading a series when I started. I enjoyed what I read but will need to put a pin in this one and start at the beginning.

HAPPY ENDINGS AT MERMAIDS POINT
BY
SARAH BENNETT

So, this is our fourth (plus a novella in the middle) and final visit to Mermaids Point.

As we head back to the Point, everyone is busy preparing for Christmas, which this year will include a Christmas eve wedding for two much loved characters.

Nick has finished his conversion property and is now looking for his next project.
While everyone around him seems to be coupled up and in love, Nick is still holding a candle for Aurora.

Singing sensation Aurora Storm is flying high in Vegas. But when things turn to custard, Aurora turns to the one person she knows she can trust to help her put things right… Nick

Back in Mermaids Point, there is clearly something very special between Nick and Aurora, but their lives are worlds apart, so how can it ever work?

This is another charming and heartwarming trip to Mermaids Point. You can’t help but want to be a part of the Morgan/Nelsonclan.
Mermaids Point has the loveliest sense of community that will seduce you and wrap you up within it’s pages.

Nick and Aurora’s story is very sweet and touching. She is gentle and vulnerable, while he is strong and loyal.
If and how their love can work out in the long term is the question that kept me guessing to the end of the story.

Sarah Bennett has ended this delightful series beautifully.
It’s sad to leave Mermaids Point, but it’s been a wonderful journey through a series of books that have all found a place in my heart.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Out now on all formats.

With thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood for a digital arc of this title.

Contemporary Romance - M/F - Spice 0/5 fade to black

I have not read any of the other books in this series so it was a little slow for me to catch up in the beginning. Once I got caught up I quickly fell in love with both Nick and Aurora.

I just loved the dual point of view from Nick and Aurora. There are so many good things here like fake dating, a one bed situation and amazing family and friends.

The vibe of Mermaids Point has me wanting to move there. Small village, local support, friends and family. I got teary eyed in a good heartwarming kind of way with the abondance of support and the mention of amazing food made me hungry.

This was a charming second chance romance that has little touches on some serious topics handled in a positive way.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for granting me an ARC for my review.

Being by in Mermaid Point felt like coming home! The characters in this series are now old friends.
Nick and Aurora are so wonderful. They are so perfect, and this story tells us all how things play out and how the endings are just what we all want for this amazing series. I don’t want to tell a lot about this book because it is one you just have to read. You can read this book as a standalone, but you will want to start with book one and I have to say you will be so glad you read the entire series.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books the book Happy Endings at Mermaids Point. This is my personal review.

Another delightful Christmassy book by Sarah. The last one in the Mermaids Point series which has been a refreshing and enjoyable read.

This is a fantastic ending to a fabulous series. I've enjoyed every book in this series, and each book has been even better than the one before.
This can be read as a standalone book but it is better to read the books in order to get the full enjoyment and not have any spoilers.
This book features Nick and Aurora who revisits Mermaid Cove. Nick has been a quiet character who has been in all of the previous books. I couldn't wait to read his story and sea if he got his HEA. We also catch up with the other characters from the previous books.
I loved reading this book, I am really looking forward to seeing what Sarah Bennett writes next.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for my ARC.
