I love Ruth and her wisdom with scripture. I have loved her art work and her love and kindness towards others. This audio advent was wonderful and I’ll be listening to it again during advent season. It really blessed my heart.

What an inspirational book. It’s is perfect for the Advent season. She puts things so well. Highly recommend.

EMMANUEL by Ruth Chou Simons is an advent devotional to keep your eyes on!

I requested this audio and wasn't sure how I would like a devotional in this format. It was very different but would be a great option for those who have barriers to a written format. Simons narrated her devotional in a calm and inviting voice that serves this well.

I have another of her books, and I do admit, I miss her visuals. She is a talented watercolor artist and creates stunning creations that blend with her devotions.

Again, I do think this would serve a great purpose and gives a lovely option for those who would not otherwise be able to engage. The journey through advent is done with grace and beauty through her words and for those looking for a Christmas preparation guide, I would recommend this audio (and also the physical).

A wonderful audiobook for any time of year, but especially for preparing your heart during Christmas. Ruth Chou Simons has penned an authentic and genuine invitation to make room in your heart for Christ. One step further, she narrated the audiobook so I can hear her own nuances as she shares her writings. The thoughts are taken from experience and everyday life scenarios. The prayers are meaningful and capture the heart of the material being shared. I loved being able to listen to this on the go and look forward to the book as well to read through on my own.
