What more to say than Movements & Moments blew me away? I absolutely adored this work and will happily display this at the library. An excellent example of how graphic work can illustrate (pun intended) experiences and stories with stunning clarify and voice. LOVED.

A visually striking anthology of indigenous groups around the world and their organizing movements to protect their lands, culture, and economic freedom. The different art styles were striking! Highly recommended!

This book is heavy, but in an important way. There are many stories contained in this volume that should be shared and celebrated. Many struggles are portrayed, but they are struggles that are faced head on, with communities coming together to overcome obstacles. Each story is important, and many are stories that are not often told through mainstream media. Highly recommended for nonfiction graphic novel collections.

How this book came to be is important. Highlighting indigenous, feminist movements and moments in history from around the world in a graphic novel format so they will not disappear is heartbreaking yet innovative. Highly recommend for education purposes. And to enjoy the artwork :)

We loved the variety of stories and styles included in this collection. I can see how this could be interesting to some of our younger PoC readers and their families who may not have been exposed to great female role models from their own countries of origin.

This is an amazing anthology of graphic nonfiction focuses on Indigenous women's movements across the world. The diversity of art styles and techniques is truly stunning, as well. Overall, the book seems ideally suited for readers of all types, from teens to adults, and those who are already interested in activism and/or Indigenous histories as well as those who are relatively ignorant. I seriously hope this book gets taught in lots of classrooms too.

This collection of graphic biographies shines the light on several amazing indigenous women who fought ( and fight) for their communities. Little known outside their own countries, these strong individuals try to change the world for the better - whether through protecting their land, customs, civil rights, or even the right to unionize.

This graphic novel was so incredibly powerful. Every story, from the details and narrative to the characters and illustrations were poignant. I was pushed and challenged in ways I haven't been since I was in college. These narratives are intense and deep and meaningful and personal- they made me question my complacency. But they also inspired me and made me hopeful- these artists, activists, and writers are the future. I loved this so much. A true must have for every independent bookstore.
