I'm a huge lover of anything horror/slasher do this was right up my street.

It was a bonus for me that it was a plant based book, which my diet is now 90% based.

The recipes were all related to movies in their titles, my favourites were Regan's (The Exorcist) pea soup vomit (with bits) and Hannibal's Feast to be served with a chilled bottle of chianti (obviously).

The book is illustrated throughout with images of the recipes and also with stills/movie posters of our favourite horror/slasher films.

It's definitely one that I would buy for my recipe book collection.

Many thanks to Netgalley for my ARC in return for my honest review.

I love this book so much and can’t wait to make some of the recipes. I’ve made a few recipes for Zach Neil’s other cook book and was excited when I learned that he was coming out with another focusing more on horror movies and stepping away from the world of Tim Burton. Killer Clown Caviar for Captain Spaulding it’s a spooky twist on Texas Caviar. It will definitely be on my Halloween buffet this season. While others may dislike vegan cookbooks Zach does well to explain its not fully about going vegan but just eating healthier. I’m a full blown meat eater and still can’t wait to make the Loaded Chili Dog for Killer Klowns from outer Space.
