This book was such a fun ride. When Meyer gets a call letting her know her (ex) husband has been in an accident and has amnesia, she doesn't have a choice but to care for him until his memory returns, but that doesn't mean she can't mess with him a little bit.

I love a second chance romance, and this one hit the nail on the head (pun intended). There was great banter, angst, and plenty of tension. I was invested in the characters and their relationship and really rooted for them. The side characters were interesting and I'm hoping to see other books in this same town. I wish we could have gotten more detail about what led up to the split in the first place and I would have like to hear from Archie's pov in order to understand how he's grown since the split. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and have already recommended it to others.

This is an entertaining second chance romance. Meyer and her ex husband Archie have been divorced for a while, and she doesn’t keep up with his exploits. Unfortunately, he crashes his small plane and wakes up with amnesia. He thinks he’s still married and expects Meyer to act accordingly.

Having Archie back in the house at his most endearing proves very difficult, Meyer finds herself remembering the good times and their chemistry is rekindled. Could this be the start of a new chapter in their relationship?

I enjoyed this one, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

Taylor weaves a captivating story filled with humor and heart, exploring the complications that arise when an ex-husband, due to memory loss, believes they are still happily married.

The seemingly implausible premise is expertly handled, with Taylor infusing the plot with well-timed humor that keeps the story light and engaging. The novel brilliantly delves into the protagonist's challenges as she navigates the awkward situation of having her ex-husband back in her life, especially when he sincerely believes in the ongoing bliss of their marriage. The incorporation of comedic elements adds to the overall enjoyment and appeal of the book.

A notable strength of "Forget Me Twice" lies in its character development. The protagonist's internal struggles and conflicting emotions contribute depth to the narrative, fostering a relatable and authentic connection with readers. Archie's earnest attempts to repair their relationship, combined with the innocence brought about by his amnesia, adds a charming layer to the storytelling.

Forget Me Twice by Carina Taylor
Genre: Romcom
Rating: 3 stars

I recommend you read this one if you enjoy second chance romances and amnesia plots.

This is a fun, easy and entertaining romance novel. I raced through this one, finishing it in just two sittings. This book starts with a bang, and I meant literally. We are thrown straight into this story with a plane coming crashing down in someone's backyard. What a way to make an entrance back into someone’s life.

I am always a sucker for a memory loss plot! Although in this case I do wish our MC Meyer went about things a little differently. I think if she was honest from the beginning and they worked things out together, it would have been a much more enjoyable read for me.

I don’t tend to read a lot of second chance romance novels but this book has convinced me that I need more! I really enjoyed seeing how the characters had changed and grown over their time apart. I loved seeing Archie’s new perspectives on things that once annoyed him after he had lost his memory.

On a final note, a few of the characters make rather questionable and unethical decisions that we just have to overlook for the sake of the plot. Especially the Dr. He should really think about his life choices.

I have flown through this book this afternoon - such an enjoyable read! 😍

A year after her divorce from husband Archie, Meyer receives a phone call to say that he has had an accident and that she needs to come to the hospital immediately. Meyer tries to explain that they are no longer married but no one seems to listen so off she heads to the hospital, with no idea of how much her life is about to change. Because Archie has amnesia following the plane crash, and he doesn’t remember that last two years of his life - which includes the divorce. Doctor Sharpe advises Meyer to let Archie’s memories return at their own pace, which puts Meyer in the difficult position of having to go along with the idea that they are still happily married - something they haven’t been for a long time.

Meyer very quickly realised that she might never have fallen out of love with Archie, but what will happen when and if he finally remembers? Will he leave her all over again? And can she face that heartbreak a second time round?

I loved the concept of this book! It was a really refreshing take on a second chance romance. Lots of complicated feelings were explored and I really empathised with Meyer in particular. Lots of fun moments, both of the main characters were really witty. A good cast of secondary characters too, especially Margaret who really made me giggle! I also really liked the way that Meyer and Archie were able to acknowledge and understand where things had gone wrong in the past, and that responsibility was taken from both sides.

A really enjoyable, easy read that has brightened my afternoon!

Forget Me Twice by Carina Taylor follows Meyer and Archie, a couple who divorced a few years after they were married and who no longer have any contact with each other....well no contact until Archie crash lands his plane in someone's garden!

After he's pulled from the wreckage doctors discover that Archie has amnesia and can't remember anything that happened in the last two years including their divorce. The last thing Archie remembers is being happy and in love with his beautiful wife. Meyer is a trooper though and agrees to pretend that they're married to help him heal safely even though it means risking falling in love with him again.

This was such a sweet palate cleanser between heavier reads (looking at you horror books!), I've not read many second-chance romances and this was a lovely introduction to the trope. I really enjoyed seeing them tiptoe around each other, for Meyer in particular it was like she was meeting him for the first time again although it was frustrating when Archie just wanted to jump in bed with her all the time!

I would have like a bit more focus on why they divorced in the first place, their big fight definitely seemed like the straw that broke the camels back so it would have been intersting to see some of the smaller fights leading up to it. Knowing more about why Meyer is so scared of flying/planes would also have helped with understanding the reasoning behind the divorce too.

Overall a sweet romantic comedy - 4 ⭐

Thank you to Netgalley for my eArc - all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this story. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. These are great characters that are a bit broken but maybe, just maybe, they can find their way back to each other.

This is a clean, fun, past paced romantic comedy of the second chance variety. Characters are likeable and fun and the premise of the story is unique. Carina Taylor delivers her usual humor and leaves you feeling happy when the story ends.

An original idea about a divorced couple who end up back living together because of an accident where the husband gets amnesia and loses his short term memory. It's very well written, seeing how they try to coexist when she knows everything and he hasn't a clue about how or why they separated. You'll be rooting for them to get back together. Sweet and romantic.

Sweet, funny romcom, taking the second chance trope to an interesting place where due to loss of memory we get a 'start again'. Entertaining, light hearted, and hopeful read.

What happens when you get a call from the hospital, for your ex-husband, that you are still is next of kin? Do you take the time to explain that you are no longer married? That there had to be someone else they could call.. but your ex needs someone and there is a twist, he’s got amnesia.. can you even imagine? Mercer takes Archie home and she pretends that her and Archie are still happily married. She has a lot of doubts about this and it is a full time job keeping him in the dark about the divorce. Mercer has to relive the cause of the divorce and she works very hard not to be bitter. Friends and family think she is being to kind and that she needs to send Archie back to Az. This is a cute story. It seemed like an odd storyline and yet it worked. The characters were very likable and this book had me thinking about second chances and honest mistakes. This was a four star read for me. I want to thank Netgalley & Carina Taylor for my copy of Forget Me Twice, for an honest review. It was my pleasure to read and review this book.
