Beyond adored this: The story of Meyler, who gets a phone call to say her husband has been in an accident and has amnesia. Trouble is- they are no longer husband and wife, they’re divorced. I loved the simplicity of the premise- Meyler can’t upset him or mess with the natural return of his memory and so has to pretend all is as it was before they split. I’ll admit I’d put this off too long as I’d been afraid it would be a tear jerker, and was nicely surprised that is was so much lighter. Fab premise, fab book, gorgeous story, gorgeous ending! Beyond recommended! Thanks to the publisher for the book in return for an honest review.

This was a very easy book to get through. I loved the overall idea of the book, but it felt pretty meh. Everything seemed rushed and I didn't quite connect to the characters like I hoped I would. I just felt like they never really explored what happened to end their relationship in the first place, or SHOW how they grew when they were apart. It just felt vague and lacked depth.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review

This was a very cute second chance romance! When Meyer gets a call from the hospital telling her that her husband has been in a plane accident and she needs to come and take him home, she is very confused. Meyer and Archie divorced a year ago, but turns out she is still his emergency contact. When Meyer gets to the hospital, it turns out Archie has amnesia and believes they are still happily married and living in the same state. The doctor encourages Meyer to let Archie remember things on his own, which leaves Meyer left playing house with the ex who she still has feelings for.

As Meyer is trying to fight off the physical affection coming from Archie, she is also battling with her heart as she doesn’t want it to break twice. There were some very swoon worthy moments in this where I just wanted Meyer to give in to Archie as he appeared so devoted to her, and it made you wonder what could have happened for them to separate. This was a quick, easy read and I couldn’t put it down. It was lighthearted and the chemistry between them was perfect.

When the book began from the POV of an old lady I got scared and thought I was reading an old people romance. BUT this was not the case.
I really liked this book and also loved the characters. I don't usually like second chance romances but this one was really sweet.
The pacing of this book was so good and I was able to finish the book in one night because it was such an easy read. On top of that the characters were also very likeable and I loved learning about them both.
Yes, I'll admit the plot was a bit crazy and I mean he crashed a plane and this was all the damage??? BUT that was not too much of an issue as it made the book even more fun to read.
The only cristicism I do have for this book was that I felt their fight was a bit small. Like sure the arguement was intense but there was just a lack of communication from both of them.
All in all it was an easy read and I loved all the characters so much!

I was very intrigued by this premise and went in with high hopes. I felt this book was a very enjoyable read. I loved the idea and reading about two peoples journey back to each other in such a unique way. It was incredibly witty and charming. My only complaint is that sexual assault was mentioned but never brought up again and that was hard for me to understand why it existed in the first place. Overall I truly did enjoy this book and will be recommending.

This is the perfect book to snuggle up on the couch and devour on a rainy day. It is well paced and the characters are wonderful. Meyer and Archie were married until a big fight made their differences come to a head and Archie walked away. Meyer was left with a broken heart and while she wasn’t innocent in their breakup she had regretted asking him to leave the moment she’d said the words. Then one day the phone rings, the nurse on the other end of the line informing her “her husband” has been in a plane crash and they needed her to come to the hospital. Unable to convince the nurse she was in fact no longer married she goes to the hospital where a Dr informs her Archie is suffering from temporary amnesia and will need someone to care for him till he regains his memories. However, it is when he tells her Archie does not remember the past 2 years and still believes they are married things get complicated. How is she going to care for him without telling him they are now divorced but also not lead him on without getting her heart broken all over again?

I love a second chance romance and this having a married couple made it really special. It is obvious Meyer and Archies marriage broke down because it wasn’t working for either of them but we can clearly see both have matured a lot in the time they have been apart. They have learned more about themselves but also what they are looking for in a partner. I am always a little hesitant when it comes to the amnesia trope as it can often seem a little far fetched/silly but I thought it was well executed in this book and I really loved that Archie regaining his memories wasn’t the finale but rather part of the process that lead the characters back together.

The supporting characters were so fun, I especially loved Margaret, she was down right hilarious. If there is one thing I would change it would be more of her amazing one liners. This was my first book by author Carina Taylor but I will defiantly be bumping some of her other publications up the TBR.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This book was cute and the characters were great. I laughed throughout this book and was rooting for Meyer and Archie the whole time. Overall, it was a quick fun read and I would definitely read another one of this author's books. This is for those who like second chance and amnesia tropes.

Ah, the classic divorced couple story where one person completely forgets they're divorced and the other one has to fake that they're in a loving marriage until ...

Oh wait. Not something I've actually read before but it was certainly an entertaining premise!

Meyer and her ex, Archie, were in love and then after that they were maybe not as much in love but they were still married. And then Archie left her. And their cat. And their cute little house. And then they were nothing. A year later and Meyer is still trying to move on when she gets a phone call out of the blue letting her know that her husband is in the hospital.

Only problem, she doesn't have a husband anymore. After rushing to the hospital she discovers that Archie is back. Not only is he back but he's lost two years of memories. In other words, he no longer remembers the year of fights and the year he spent in a completely different state moving on.

Review: This book was certainly a fast-paced and enjoyable read. I actually love stories about couples who were in love and then life happens and maybe they aren't anymore but the rest of the book is about trying to get that love back. It's just not done very often and if it's done well, it is so enjoyable to read. Meyer and Archie have some great, friendly banter and I can definitely see why they fell for each other in the first place.

While I absolutely enjoyed Forget Me Twice, I do wish there had been more focus on the character's growth. I was told a lot about how they grew but it did fall a little short since I don't think we, as readers, get to witness that growth within the story. I also wanted a little more angst or pining. I think that Meyer finds out Archie's secret a little too soon. I think there was a lot of missed opportunities with that timing but it was still a great read overall.

Thank you Net Galley for the e-arc! It was a pleasure reading.

when I first started reading this book, I had no idea what it was about. I went in 100% blind.
and I know what you’re thinking.
“uh, jenn? you requested this book. so you obviously knew what it was about”
very true.
however, this book was requested before life went dark, if you catch my drift. pre-breakdown jenn and post-breakdown jenn are two very different people.
thus, blind.

this book was cute, dude.
it actually reminds me of that anna faris movie. the one where the guy falls off the boat and gets amnesia? do you know what I’m talking about? I should probably just look up the name of the movie, but who has the time. you know?
all of the details are different, but they both involve amnesia, and faking a current relationship, so..

first off, I love that it’s written as if meyer is just talking to herself. it makes it feel more personable, and I feel like a lot of her thoughts and the way she expresses herself was just so relatable. also, she’s funny as heck.

I love archie. pre-amnesia archie seems like a bit of a d!ck, but post-conked-on-the-head archie is everything. he’s freakin adorable.

one thing I would change is that there was a lot of buildup regarding this supposed massive fight which had ended their marriage. then the fight just.. wasn’t that bad? I wish there had been more angst. it didn’t make me emotional. everything makes me emotional. a lonely piece of bread left in the package makes me emotional, okay? so it just felt like there was something missing. maybe I just didn’t connect to it, idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️

anyway, It wasn’t life altering, but it was adorable, and I’m glad I read it. thank you netgalley, carina taylor, and victory editing for my copy.

3.5⭐️ rounded to a 4!

This was a super quick and easy read. It was fun, and there was lots of instances were i was laughing out loud from the banter between the characters. I liked the idea of the story line of this story too - a second chance romance after a divorce where amnesia is a big factor.

I felt like there was a ton of repetitiveness as well. We were constantly being told that they were both different now, they had both grown so much. We weren’t really ever shown anything though. I also felt like we kept getting reminded that Archie was lying cuz he remembered everything. It started to get annoying and like nothing was building but just the same things being told over and over.

I feel like a marriage in crisis or second chance romance should have a lot of angst and build up and pining etc. to build up to this monumental moment. I didn’t get that in this story. When they finally did get into an argument it didn’t feel like much was even there and was super lackluster.

While i felt this story lacked and was pretty dull. I did still enjoy it at surface level.

Such a sweet second chance. This story doesn't go very deep, but it does show that people can change and forgive.
Clean, contemporary romance.

Amnesia isn't usually my trope as I can find it quite frustrating but that definitely wasn't the case with this. It was such a cute fluffy read. If you're looking for something light and easy, this is the book for you!

Light-hearted. Sweet. Funny. It was a good fluff book. I like spicier books so this isn't my favorite, but I did really enjoy this as a quick-read.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Meyer and Archie. They were once married but now are divorced. But one day Meyer gets a phone call, stating her husband has been in a plane crash. He can not remember his past two years and has them call his wife. Sometimes it is great to have a do over. They fall in live.

This story really interested me when I read the blurb. This was also my first Carina Taylor book. I wasn't expecting it to be actually so deep because it dealt with such topics as substance abuse and assault. But I really liked that and that made me more invested in the story.
Overall a really emotional and captivating book. Definitely will be checking out more of Carina Taylor's books.

If I'm being honest, I was a bit leary when I found out this was a romcom centered around someone with amnesia. The stories in that trope can sometimes be unrealistic and a bit ridiculous in my opinion. However, I have enjoyed the other books I have read by this author so I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. This was a fun second chance romance between Archie and Meyer who used to be married to one another. The story is complete with chemistry and fun banter made even better by the fact they had once been in love. Through a series of events, Archie ends up with amnesia and the hospital calls Meyer to come get him. Archie has no recollection of them ever having gotten divorced so Meyer takes him home to help him recover. I really liked both characters and I appreciated how the author showed how they had grown while they were apart which helped the readers have hope for their future relationship.

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for a copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was a sweet second chance romance with Hallmark vibes. There was a great balance of drama and humour and I didn't find it too annoying, just a little. I did think the one big fight being the erase for their divorce was a bit unrealistic and the FMC annoyed me in some parts of the book. The ending felt very rushed and I would have wished for it to be a bit smoother. Overall it was a cute read if not a bit too slow for my liking.

4/5 stars

I received an ARC of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was such a fun read! I read through this book in one sitting, and it was enjoyable from beginning to end. I laughed out loud several times and adored these characters, especially Meyer! I was really rooting for her and Archie to work things out.

After an accident leaves Archie with amnesia, his ex-wife Meyer is left to take care of him. Unfortunately, he still believes they're married, while Meyer is all too aware of the fact they divorced—and why. This leads to all kinds of awkwardness, and poor Meyer is left trying to deal with both her business and Archie's recovering memory.

Both Meyer and Archie are likeable characters. I loved their interactions, and their relationship seemed really sweet. Their banter and flirting sold me on their relationship, and I was hoping for a HEA!

I would definitely recommend this to rom-com fans! If you enjoy fun romances with tropes like second chance romance, enemies-to-lovers, or amnesia, you should try this book!

Content: some language, no sex but be prepared for sexual tension between the main characters
