Forget Me Twice is an enjoyable, quick read with some quirky characters, humorous situations, and a second-chance romance between divorced exes. The treatment of the amnesia trope is entertaining and I love the interaction between the two main characters; it has a vibe similar to old-time romantic comedy movies (Archie is quite the Cary Grant-style hero). The banter between the couple is sharp and witty, though I must admit Meyer annoyed me at times with her behavior--I felt she wasn't always a likable character. (I don't like her name, either, it's somewhat bizarre and made me think of lemons every time I saw it.)
These quibbles aside, it was a lot of fun to read. The novel is well-paced and smoothly written and a good way to while away a rainy day on vacation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book blew me away! I loved every part of this story. Meyer and Archie were such lovable characters, and I was rooting for them the entire time. Also, I loved that it showed growth of owning up to their own responsibilities. This was such a sweet and quick read!

This was a quick, cute, and simple read! The plot is really intriguing, and the book grabbed my attention right away. While there was no spice, I really liked how the characters worked through their past. I also liked the ending.

While I did enjoy this book, I do wish there was more to the characters. I didn’t feel anything for them, and I wish there had been more development/character history given to us in the story.

Overall, this did draw me in and keep me entertained, I just wish there was more to the story.

ARC PROVIDED BY NET-GALLEY***
I absolutely adored Carina Taylor’s other book ‘Neighbors like that.’ This one however was a little underwhelming. I felt like there wasn’t much going on in it and it dragged in some parts. I also think that both of the characters could’ve benefited from therapy. The characters felt a bit one-dimensional, even with everything going on.

That being said I did enjoy the whole concept of the plot. Archie and Meyer were a second chance well deserved!

This was absolutely delightful. The plot was well-paced and captivating from start to finish. The characters were well-developed; complex, and intriguing. I highly recommend this beautiful telling of the power of love. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

"I'm bringing my ex-husband home with me."

An easy read romance!

I quickly read through this second chance story as the flow and development of the story was fast and easy to follow.

I enjoyed the main leads, however I would have enjoyed a greater insight into their characters as I feel that we weren't given a lot of information about them.

As a second chance romance I did think I would have enjoyed more angst and slow tension building scenes between the two main leads. However, it was still a cute, soft romance.

Thank you to Netgalley and Victory Editing for an eARC.

To be honest, I feel like the premise of this book would be something you would see in a very typical rom-com movie, but I loved it! I don't open up a romantic comedy to get quote-worthy lines or read the best writing of my life, but it was a cute fun book to blast through in one sitting. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it will join my one-sitting read club as it was good enough to not want to put it down. I think that any book that can catch my attention and hold it is a book that I want to recommend to friends. The plot... amazing and captivating. Second chance tropes are one of my favorites. I am not a huge fan of insta love so second-chance romances are where I like to live.

I really wanted to enjoy this book based on the premise, but it just didn’t play out like I hoped it would. There was none of the angst that should come with second chance romances, and everything fit into place way too easy to the point that it was aggravating. But, it was a very short read (I finished it in less than 24 hrs) and had some cute moments. If you’re looking for a sweet, quick read, this is for you.

I loved the cover and the premise of this book! The plot of having amnesia and a second chance at love drew me into this book. I liked the drama between the main characters. I like the conversations about their relationship- the genuine problems they had during it and what they could do to work on it. It was a short and sweet heart with some heart-wrecking moments to keep the momentum going.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Only in a few parts, it didn't really hold my attention and I found myself skipping a few pages. However, I believe that was more on me as a reader and my preferences, than the author’s writing skills.

Romantic content: Kissing
TW: talk of substance abuse and assault, some mild language

I enjoyed this book and am giving 3.5 stars ! I was given this ARC by Netgalley and Victory Editing in exchange for an honest review. These thoughts are my own opinion. Also trigger warnings for attempted assault. ⁣

Meyer receives a call that her husband has been in a serious accident and she should come to the hospital. But wait she doesn’t have a husband only a ex husband Archie. Meyer gets to the hospital and found that Archie was in a plane crash and has retro grade Amnesia and can’t remember the past two years and thinks he’s still happily married to Meyer. The doctor thinks Meyer should not tell Archie that they are divorced and let his memories come back on their own as his brain is in a fragile state. Meyer takes him home and is caught between living this lie and telling him the truth especially when lots of feeling are involved. ⁣

I really enjoyed the beginning and end but for some reason the middle lost me a little bit. I lost the connection to the story. I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers here! Overall still a very good read and I’m glad I got the chance to read it. Forget me twice comes out on Nov 10,22.

I absolutely love marriage reconciliation books and this one did not disappoint.. Archie is back, crashing (literally) back into Meyer's life. The problem is, he doesn't remember the last two years of his life and he thinks they are still happily married. He doesn't remember their divorce last year and Meyer is supposed to not upset him so he can regain his memories.
It's told from her POV and of course she doesn't want to fall for her ex-husband but the more that he is around her, they are falling into their old ways. She doesn't want to lie to him though, so she needs him to remember, and fast.
I loved the two of them, falling back into love with one another, it's possible they never fell out of love, but seeing them back together, wanting to work on themselves was just so adorable. I love a guy who is perfectly devoted, and Archie was that man, even if you think he might not have been. It's just another reason why communication is so important in a relationship.
Thank you to Netgalley, Carina Taylor and Victory for an early copy.

When my local hospital calls to say “I’m sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been in an accident” I try to explain the basics to them.
1. I am not married anymore. (Archie Dunmore is a thing of the past.)
2. If there’s a husband in the hospital, it’s not mine.
Except Archie is back, and he's been in an accident. One that has left him with amnesia. Yup. He believes we’re still happily married. Oh joy.
Too bad for me, the doctor believes it would be best for Archie to remember things on his own. He needs familiar surroundings to heal.
No big shocks.
No emotional trauma.
Which means I can’t tell him the truth.
Archie bursts back into my life with all the warmth and joy of a freshly married man, confident that I’m the love of his life, and determined to fix the rift between us.
Except how do I tell him that he walked out on me?
Especially when Archie is desperately trying to remember what I’ve worked so hard to forget.
Totally gripping I couldn’t put it down really enjoyed this book totally recommend

Archie and Meyer I loved them both. You can't help but to love them and enjoy reading their story to see the outcome of the book.
The writing is fantastic. I was hanging onto Taylor's every word.
This is a rich, funny, warm story of two ex's who fake a marriage due to her ex having amnesia.

Such a cute story! I was lucky to get approved for an ARC through NetGalley. This was my first book from this author and I will 100% be reading more of her books. I loved the personality of the main characters (Meyer and Archie) and loved the story’s “coming home again” feel. Highly recommend!

What do you do when your ex-husband literally crashes back into your life…but doesn’t remember that he is your ex?! Meyer has been learning to stand on her own two feet after her divorce but when her ex-husband, Archie, crashes his plane & ends up missing two years of his memory, she ends up pretending they are still together. This was my first Carina Taylor read & I really enjoyed it. Written from Meyer’s perspective I loved watching her & Archie try to fall back in love but as their new selves (minus Archie’s missing memory). Full of funny antics, this book made me smile & I’d definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys sweet romances with a bit of angst.

PERFECTION, OH MY GOSH I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK IT ISN'T FUNNY!!!

Her ex-husband loses his memory and thinks they are still married?!?!? It was so funny, so cute, the banter was everything and their whole relationship was entertaining. It reminded me of You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle! The ex gave me major golden retriever vibes and he was so adorable.

Also, they didn't divorce because of cheating, they had a big argument and they were divorced for a year!

This was such an easy, breezy read. I literally read it in one sitting, within a couple of hours.

That being said, this was pretty underwhelming. The story felt pretty rushed while the characters felt surface level— there just wasn’t much depth here. nothing for me to get attached to. Far too much telling with very little showing, so I struggled to stay invested. The characters were flat, there was nothing unique or distinguishable about them— they could have been anyone.

We kept getting told about how much they’d both grown in their time apart, how much had changed and how things were different now... I will believe it when I see it. I can’t get invested if you don’t show me. There is zero focus on them fixing their relationship, on exploring where things broke down and what needs to be worked on. I mean, we get the vaguest sentiments and explanations but not much else.

I just don’t have much to say beyond feeling completely indifferent to this.

A marriage in crisis romance should be full of angst, intensity, regret, heartache, betrayal, all that juicy stuff... and this one just wasn’t. Instead it was pretty bland and smooth-sailing. Nothing to sink my teeth into.

It wasn’t bad at all, it just lacked a lot of depth.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, and Victory Editing for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

This was such a surprise! When I originally saw people posting that it was up on Netgalley I intended to pass because second chance romance isn’t always my favorite. I’m glad I decided to give it a go anyway because apparently if you slap some forced proximity onto that second chance I will eat it up in a day and a half! It’s a great, easy to enjoy rom-com and a perfect weekend read!

I loved both Meyer and Archie (though I do wish we would have had a chance at his perspective - especially since each chapter head has Meyer’s name on it and I kept expecting to finally get one that said Archie) and thought their character development was well done. I didn’t really love any of the side characters but that’s a small complaint. It’s definitely worth the read and since this is my first by Carina Taylor I will definitely be looking to grab a few of her others!

Content: closed door romance, small amount of mild language, divorce, amnesia, mentions of alcohol abuse and attempted assault.

First of all, thank you to Netgalley and the author for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I really loved the premise for this book. I think it is clever and unique, and not quite predictable enough to know exactly what was going to happen. The banter between the characters was funny and realistic, if not a little cheesy (but what good romcom isn't??) The author did a good job of showing the character development of the FMC through the entirety of the story.

I felt like there were some unnecessary scenes that didn't really aid the plot, and I kept expecting something relevant to happen but it just ended up being random information that was thrown in without a clear purpose (ex: Kingston and Willa). Some of the dialogue felt forced or unnatural and didn't seem like how a realistic conversation would go.

Overall, it was a cute and quick romcom. Great plot and characters and conflict, I just had some minor issues with the dialogue and extraneous scenes. I would still recommend it!
