I really enjoyed this. This was so cute, so sweet and perfect for what I needed in the moment. The romance had me gushing and blushing and I had numerous jitters as I read. I absolutely adored this!

This was such a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the story a lot and also could sympathize with Meyer a lot, she’s such a likeable character.
Is this story genius? No but it’s still such a nice and cute little story to read. I enjoyed it very much and can recommend it, also the authors writing style is so easy to follow.

Highly recommended for those who love to read adult romance with a second chance trope!

This is a very light read, with good pacing, loveable characters and great writing style.
The amnesia part was intriguing, I wouldn't know what to do either If I was ever in Meyer's position.

I really enjoy this second chance love story of Archie and Meyer! I love their chemistry and it can be seen that they are good for one another - all those bantering and flirting are sweet and hilarious!

Meyer and Archie are the type of "Right Person, Wrong Time" couple. But, their divorce and the time away from each other actually help them grow to be a better person.

While I love this book, although I have one input to add. I wish there's more flashback chapters to show the life they had that led up to the big fight and then the divorce.

Overall, this is still a lovely quick read with a sweet epilogue at the end. Definitely one of my favorite second chance story!
I'm really looking forward to read more books from this author!

This was delightful! Normally, I am not a fan of the amnesia trope, but this was fun. It was a clean, feel-good romcom. I will definitely be reading more by Carina Taylor!

Forget Me Twice was a really easy breezy read that you'll enjoy (hopefully!!) in only a matter of hours.

This was a second chance love story that had me rooting for them from the start, I loved how much the MCs seemed to grow during their time apart and time together again. Overall I thought it was sweet and steamy and just what I needed.

What a fun premise!
Meyer Dunmore gets a call that her ex-husband is in the hospital and has lost all of his memory of the last two years, including the fact that they got divorced. It's a second chance romance that has the setting/dynamic to be great, but it just falls flat. There's somehow not a ton of tension and suspense and the characters were pretty two dimensional.

Within the first chapter I was already laughing. I really enjoyed that this book had me laughing so much! It was needed more than I knew.

Why do I love Archie so much? He’s so sweet, kind, thoughtful. Everything you’d want in a husband, in my opinion.

This was such a great, easy, quick, enjoyable read. It was funny and overall a really lovely book.

If you’re looking for a quick romance read that is actually good, this is it! I read this in one sitting.

I really related to Meyer and her fears getting in the way of her relationships and life in general. I also admire how both Meyer and Archie could own up to their mistakes and turn their relationship around. I can also really appreciate Archie being there for Meyer through her struggles and vice versa!

Thank you so much to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC! This book comes out 11/10, be sure to check it out!

Forget Me Twice is about the second chance romance between a divorced couple.

Meyer and Archie were married and now they were divorced. Now Archie is back in Meyer's Life because he’s been in an accident and he has amnesia and the doctor recommended to Meyer to not tell him the truth.

He remembers that they were in love and they were happy. I like that Meyer keeps her boundaries even if she wanted to be with Archie. I loved that Archie fought to be again with Meyer and he gave her time and space to make her decision without pressure.

I really loved the characters Archie and Meyer and how they worked together to become again a couple and to understand each other.
.
I loved the concept of this book and I enjoyed reading about their relationship. I loved this sweet romance.

The story is about Meyer and Archie, who are now divorced after an incident that happened two years ago. The story starts with Meyer getting a call from the hospital, that her ‘husband’ has been in a plane crash. She thinks it’s funny since she isn’t his wife anymore, but apparently he had named her as his emergency contact. Upon arriving at the hospital she finds out that Archie is suffering from post-traumatic amnesia (PTA). He has lost two years of his memory, and he still thinks they are happily married. The doctors urges her to take him home and pretend that they are still married, until he gets his memory back.

Why did I love this book so much? First of all, Meyer has a cat called Gatsby! I’m kidding, that’s not why. The whole pretending to still be in love part was hysterical! The author has written the book very well. I haven’t read a book with this trope before, and the amnesia aspect was also well written. I don’t believe that in real life the doctors would have urged anyone to take their exes home though, but it was fun nontheless.

I would recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for an amazing and well-written romcom, cute second chance romance and nosy neighbors (I loved Margaret’s character)! I cannot say anything else without spoiling.

-- Minor spoiler on why I didn’t give it 5 stars --
I wasn’t too pleased at first when she found out that he had gained his memory back, and wanted to fake the memory loss for a while longer. But since Meyer overheard the whole scheme, I thought it was very funny!

RATING
⭐⭐⭐
3 out of 5.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
When Meyer Dunmore gets a phonecall from the local hospital informing her about her husband's accident she's rightfully confused. She hasn't been married for a year now, and her ex lives in another state.
Nonetheless she has to check out the poor guy, as it seems the accident was a bad one.
Just how bad?
Quite.
Archie doesn't remember the last two years of his life. Amnesia after trauma is supposedly normal, but their situation is most definitely not. Meyer faces a doting husband in the form of her ex, who has to be kept out of the loop, otherwise his scattered brain could get more tangled.
What's left to do?
Meyer and Archie have to play house together once again.. and this undoubtedly will lead to complications of the heart.
Question is: will he remember?

REVIEW:

Meyer and Archie's story was a true romcom, with interesting plots, funny, scheminc characters, unbelievably goofy happenings and just all around feel good vibes.
Meyer had funny inner monolouges, Archie was a goofy heartthrob, while the sidecharacters' bickering and teasing was laugh out funny.
I really enjoyed how the MCs got to learn to be around each other again, we did not jump into any love-fest. I would suggest it's more of a chick lit book simply because of this, the main focus wasn't the romance. But don't fret, we got enough romantic moments, small touches of heat, etc.
The book doesn't explicitly discuss any sexual activity. But there is a great grand gesture, which reminded me a lot of some favourite movie romcom scenes of mine.
My only issue was the sometimes non-expressive prose, which for me is kinda hard to get into, and the repetition of character names in the same sections.

This book was very sweet. This trope for me is a little complicated for me, this is how it goes, Meyer and Archie were married and for the past 2 years they were divorced. In those 2 years she has grown as a woman, changed her career and then she gets a phone call that her ex-husband suffered a huge accident. This accident left him with temporary amnesia, and he doesn’t remember the last 2 years of his life, so pretty much he still thinks that he’s married to Meyer. This whole situation shakes up her whole life. But while they are living together trying to help Archie out, they discovered things about each other, they have shown growth within themselves, and they also confronted the reasons to why they left their marriage. This book is very touching, and how powerful it is to communicate, to take accountability, and to never give up, and its ok to try again. Thanks Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This book has such an intriguing premise! I love second chance romance and it was interesting to see how that was affected by amnesia.

The character growth in this book is so well done! I immensely enjoyed seeing how Meyer and Archie learned about themselves and about each other. The side characters are delightful, and Margaret and Gatsby were my favorites! There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, as well as sweet moments of reconnection, which I loved.

The innuendo was a little more than I expected, but I also realize that the romance was between a couple who had been married. There were a few phrases that felt more crass than I prefer when reading, but I also understand why they were there. The romance is closed door, which I appreciated!

4.5/5 stars!

Content:
Mild swear words
Moderate innuendo
Closed door romance, only kisses shown
Trigger warning: attempted assault briefly mentioned

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you like books similar to the writing of Emily Henry, Mazey Eddings, Jenny Proctor, and Gigi Blume then you will LOVE Forget Me Twice.

Meyer Dunmore receives a call from her local hospital. She's been told that her husband, Archie Dunmore has been in an accident & as his only emergency contact, she needs to go pick him up.
But what the hospital doesn't realize is that she's she's been divorced for over a year. When she gets there, she finds out that Archie's accident left him with amnesia and he believes they're STILL happily married.
Yet, that's SO far from the truth. How does Meyer tell him that he left her heartbroken? Especially when Archie is desperately trying to remember what she's worked so hard to forget.

M E Y E R :
My heart ACHED💔 every time Archie would bring up a memory of their BLISSFUL marriage.
I wanted to BAWL! just imagining how hard it must've been to remember the good times, the LOVE she had for Archie but knowing that ONCE Archie regains his memory, she may lose him AGAIN!

"Archie Dunmore had once filled a piece of my soul that I hadn't known was missing, then crushed it entirely when he walked out of my life a year ago."

A R C H I E
Knowing how much Archie LOVED Meyer but still walked away?! Made me want to just SHAKE him! I
BUT, he did own up to his mistakes, & he realized that he needed to MATURE to be THAT partner that Meyer needs.

"I want you to be sure of your decision. I want you to be sure of me."

M&A
I loved their BANTER, their FAMILIARITY, that comes in a REAL marriage.
They married YOUNG and as the years went on, they started to grow up INDIVIDUALLY.
But people change & unfortunately, Meyer & Archie, forgot to grow up TOGETHER as a couple.

Forget Me Twice was my first Carina Taylor book. It was an easy read, light, and super cute romantic comedy. But I feel like it needed MORE.

1. The 'BIG' fight & ENTIRE reason for their divorce seemed underwhelming.

2. I feel like Archie's POV could've moved the book in a better direction & I woud've LOVED it. I would've LOVED to know what was going through his head during this entire time. 😩.

3. I wanted more DEPTH to Meyer's & Archie's characters.

Do you ever wish you could take back the hard times in your relationship and start again?

Archie Dunmore gets that second chance after he survives a plane crash. Now he cannot remember the last two years of his life, and the hospital has called his emergency contact: his wife Meyer.

Meyer is not too thrilled about the phone call, however. Because what Archie does not remember is that they have been divorced for a year after Archie left her. Having to take care of an Archie who does not remember the tumultuous parts of their marriage and the heartache of their divorce brings up all of the feelings that she has tried to suppress in the last year.

This was a fun, low-angst, slow-burn read. Archie and Meyer had great chemistry even when they were apart, and that alone will have readers cheering for them. Sometimes our true love happens at the wrong time of our lives, and Carina Taylor does a great job of leading Archie and Meyer through that journey.

The spice in this standalone read is hidden behind closed doors, but I give it an extra half point because I love their flirting. Tiny details -- be it Archie's smirk or Meyer's teasing -- gives their banter life and wit.

If you adore second chances for divorced couples as much as I do, this is a great add to your TBR.

This book was a bit slow going for me, but not due to an uninteresting subject matter. I enjoyed the relationship between the two exes and the slow burn will-they-won’t-they between them! While the ending felt a bit out of the realm of possibility, it was honestly so sweet that I wish it weren’t so difficult to believe a divorced couple could find common ground again. The fact that Meyer and Archie both grew into who they needed to be on their own during their time apart was so endearing but also made it a bit hard to see why their relationship got so bad the first time around. It felt a bit too fast for forgiveness as a reader but that’s also without being in the relationship itself and being outside of the feelings. There almost wasn’t enough from the “before” time, like the fight and what lead up to it, in present form. I really did enjoy the main characters and the side friends and family though, Margaret is hilarious and I want her to be my grandmother!

This was such a fun read! I actually couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting! Meyer gets a call to from the hospital, telling her that her husband has been in a serious accident. The only problem is she doesn’t have a husband anymore. When she gets to him, she’s told that he lost some of his memory and he thinks it’s 2 years ago, when they were still married. It was delightful reading this story from Meyer’s POV as she battles with her growing feelings for her ex-husband Archie. They were super cute together! There were a few twists and turns along the way, too, with a grand gesture and some tension filled scenes. Definitely recommend this one!
