Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.

This was a really cute, easy to read book. I was able to finish it it under a day. It’s fast pace and hard to put down, with lots of laughable scenes and lovable characters. This book poses the question : What do you do when your ex-husband wakes up thinking you’re still married? Its a second chance romance book If your looking easy escape romance read, this book is for you!

*4.5 stars

i thoroughly enjoyed this book and story, definitely recommend it for a quick and easy/fun read!! it’s one of those books that had me saying “just one more chapter” instead of going to sleep.

second chance romance books are usually a hit or miss for me, but this one was definitely a hit. it was also the first book i’ve read that involves a character that has amnesia, so it was interesting to see how that side of the story unfolded.

i personally found the characters really likeable, (especially archie who was adorable), and they had some really sweet moments together. the side characters were amazing as well, and i would love to read another story that is set in this town.

there really isn’t much criticism i would give this book! i guess the main thing i would change/add to the book would getting to see a few chapters from archie’s pov, but not having that didn’t ruin my reading experience at all so it’s not huge deal!!

“Forget Me Twice” by Carina Taylor follows the story of Meyer and Archie Dunmore. They were married for some years, however, disagreements led them to a divorce, but after a year of been separated she receives a call: her ex-husband had suffered an accident that left him with amnesia, and he doesn’t have any memory of the past two years, he doesn’t remember their divorce and the only way for him to recover his memory is to go back to their home and be in a familiar environment. Meyer just wants him to recover as soon as possible and get him out of her life and forget once again about his infuriately handsome and sweet ex-husband, but it shows to be a difficult task when he keeps acting like the man she fell in love with, working hard to fix the rift between them. Would they be able to overcome their differences and give love a second chance or will it just confirm they are not made for each other?

I really enjoyed reading about Meyer and Archie and their second chance at love. Meyer is a creative woman that owns a little business, she knows what she wants but is afraid of sharing it because she doesn’t like confrontation. She is such a good friend, daughter, and sister.

I fell in love with Archie and how hard he worked to win Meyer over, he was so caring and did everything to prove his love to her, even if he had to do things, he didn’t like such grocery shopping.
I also adored the side characters. Their families and friends were so sweet and supportive, but my favorite was without any doubt Margaret, I want to be like her when I grow up 😊.

Meyer and Archie’s love story shows that true love is worth to fight for, that sometimes we need time to heal and mature, but when it’s meant to be, when you have found your avocado half 😉, time and distance cannot destroy it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing Group for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

The story
Meyer and Archie have been divorced for a year but when she gets a call that’s he’s been in a small airplane accident and has amnesia, the feelings come rushing back. Archie has lost two years of his life. He doesn’t remember the fights and divorce and his move to another state and job. Can Meyer pretend all is well while he regains his memory?

My thoughts
Carina Taylor has an easy to read writing style, where heavy topics are actually covered in at a pace and in a tone that feel fresh and energetic. I loved hearing Meyer’s inner voice. How she has grown inner strength since she and Archie divorced, how she has changed her life to do work that makes her happy and is slowly coming to the point where she is able to stand up for herself. This story is a treat to read!

This book started off with a BANG! Or should I say… CRASH? 😏🤣 (That’s a knee slapper… Never mind… I know it’s not. Just bear with me and my attempts at humor.)
This book was absolutely delightful and totally took me by surprise several times!

I was definitely weary about the premise. I hate a divorce set up in a second chance romance usually. However, Carina really made it work in this story! She made me believe that they had grown enough to really make things work this time around.
The amnesia plot was super fun too! It was like if “Overboard” was a second chance romance and there were no kids involved… or revenge…
So not totally similar but it gave those vibes! 😅😂

Meyer and Archie (love those names btw ❤️) were such great characters! I loved their banter, the teasing, their caring for one another, and the avocados. Iykyk! 😉
I liked that I was able to really love Archie even without getting his POV! He was such a sweetie! 🥰
Also, shoutout to my boy, Gatsby the cat! 🤗

I think Carina handled the topics in this book well. There were some real and raw situations but she still kept the humor and love present! 😊

All in all, this book absolutely charmed me!
I’m so looking forward to reading more from Carina Taylor! Maybe Willa can get a book? Or Tripp? 😁

Extra things I loved:
Archie 🥰
Archie’s Mom and her ghosting 😂
Him sneaking in her bed lol!
Archie with the kids 👶🏻
The avocado keychain 🥑
The pepper spray incident 🥴
Bocce Ball
Ice cube kiss 🧊💋
Gatsby in the tree 🌳
The spider incident 🕷
Line Dancing 🕺🏻
“I won’t forget you twice.” 🥰
Margaret on the plane 😂
The epilogue 💗

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟
Content: Closed Door 🚪 (The book alludes to sex and has some innuendos seeing as they were a married couple and now he thinks they are STILL a married couple… 😂 Absolutely nothing on page though! Just kisses.)

I laughed so much while reading this! Archie and Meyer had let the pressures of life pull them apart and gotten divorced. They haven't seen each other in quite a while, and then Archie shows up without warning, bruised and confused after his accident. Meyer's feelings are incredibly confused; she is still upset with him, but he is acting like he did before things went south between them. She tries to balance her new life with helping Archie adjust, but the craziest things keep happening. It's a very funny roller coaster of surprises and revelations. I was pulling for them the whole way.

Forget Me Twice by Carina Taylor

This was a quick and funny read! Perfect for after my spooky, murdery previous read. Archie and Meyer were married and divorced and then Archie gets into an accident and forgets the divorced part. Meyer has to take him home and pretend like they are still married. I loved Archie and Meyer had me laughing out loud! Her humor is so dry and quirky and reminded me so much of my grandmother. Archie is thoughtful and has made mistakes but I found him so endearing. This is my first amnesia trope read and I really enjoyed seeing where Taylor took the storyline.

Carina Taylor is definitely on my radar now and I’m looking forward to reading her backlist.

3.5 rounding up to 4 stars.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!

This was a sweet, closed door romcom! It’s my first book by Carina Taylor and it definitely gives the warm and fuzzies. Archie and Meyer were likable main characters that made it easy to root for them.

Spoilers ahead!

I was underwhelmed over the big fight that caused their divorce. I thought getting the reason for why they split would give the satisfaction after having them reconcile but the fight was so minimal that I was left a bit unsatisfied there. They both gave up so easily after the fight and then to actively pursue divorce after one argument like that was pretty meh.

There was talk about assault (unrelated to the MMC!) so if that’s a sensitive topic for you, enter with caution.

Overall this was a nice, quick read.

This book was fast-paced and an easy read. There were a lot of LOL moments that I enjoyed between the two MCs.

I really loved that the author showed how the separation was both their faults. They each owned up to their part in it.

I think this book could have been a four or even five star if we would have had Archie's POV. I really would have loved to know what was going on inside of his head.

Also, I felt as if the "big fight" was a little underwhelming to lead to a divorce. I get that its also about all the little things that piled up before then. But, we didn't really get to see any of that to understand fully why they separated.

There is some mild language and a small amount of inneduo (a good portion is when he has amnesia and believes they're still married).

Overall, really cute, but could have had more depth.

**I received an ARC from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

"The next time I kiss you good night, it's going to be a proper, thorough good-night kiss and it's not going to stop at that."

Forget Me Twice is told from Meyer's perspective, who gets an unexpected phone call to say her husband is in hospital after a plane crash. The thing is, he doesn't remember the last two years, which includes their divorce a year ago. Meyer's told that he needs to remember things on his own and familiar surroundings should help him heal, so she reluctantly brings him back to her place.

This is an unconventional but nonetheless sweet second-chance romance. In the beginning, Meyer is conflicted, as she reconnects with the Archie she once knew and loved, before the "Big Fight" that ended their marriage. It's hard for her not to let her guard down when he's a total charmer and finally giving her and her small business the support she craved.

In the end, they both realised that the time apart, while heartbreaking, allowed them both to figure out what they wanted out of life and from each other. But they were always better together ❤️.

If you're looking for a sweet, fast-paced romantic comedy, look no further.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the early copy.

This was a cute and fun read!

Archie and Meyer have been divorced for a year when she gets a call from the hospital saying they have her husband! Turns out she's still his emergency contact and to top it off he's suffered amnesia, forgetting the last two years. He doesnt remember their divorce or the events leading up to it. Not wanting to cause anymore damage the doctor suggests she take him home and pretend they're still married and let the memories come back to him.

I loved the overall idea for this book (reminded me of the movie overboard a bit) I thought it was a nice fluffy read, however I feel like the events that lead to their divorce was kind of just glossed over.

I liked when Meyer decided to "mess with" Archie and tell him he likes doing things he never used to (grocery shopping etc) That part of the book was over a bit quickly in my opinion.

Overall I enjoyed it, a nice fluffy second chance romance!

The premise of this one was so fun! Meyer and Archie are divorced. He gets amnesia and thinks they’re still married. Forced proximity ensues while Meyer has to decide if she wants a new relationship with her ex husband or not.

I enjoyed this one! There were some fun secondary characters and funny scenes. I didn’t feel like we ever got a great description of what lead to their divorce but overall I enjoyed the story!

3.5 stars.

Amnesia isn't usually my trope but combined with second chance romance? It was such a cute fluffy read. If you're looking for something light and easy, this is for you.

Unfortunately the characters were all a little flat. I needed more relationship building. We were told the MCs were in love but I didn't really feel it.

A cute and fun read. The premise was very interesting and had me cringing and laughing all the way. A prefect read if you ever wondered how you would handle this situation.

Absolutely wonderful read! I could get enough of Meyer and Archie, and truly felt their emotional tug-o-war as the author artfully composed their story. Their story isn't like the other traditional enemies to lovers tropes you find on the romance novel shelf, and that is what drew me in as a reader, as I was completely captivated by the events as they were unfolding. This is the first romance book I've encountered with ex-spouses forced to live together under unusual circumstances. This was my first experience with a Carina Taylor novel, and it won't be my last!

I love, love, love the premise of this novel. I knew it was going to come with some drama and controversy and it definitely did but I can’t help feeling more could have been done to really make this unique romance really shine. I enjoyed Meyer’s creativity and desperation in trying to hide the truth from her amnesiac ex-husband whilst trying to ward off his advances but I didn’t really warm to Archie’s character. He didn’t seem to have much depth to him, and we only seem to learn that he’s reckless and apparently loved by everyone. This is probably a hazard of the plot, since it’s hard to get to know a character that’s missing two years of their life, especially when their wife is avoiding talking to them about anything significant.

There were lots of fun moments and I enjoyed Margaret’s quirky character, she very much filled that scheming, somewhat savage, funny old woman role in this story although we didn’t see too much of her. However, I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the main characters. I was more being told there was chemistry and love than seeing it for myself. That being said, this is a light and fun read with a great plot at the heart of it and if you’re up for some easy reading, then this might be the book for you.

If you love second chance romcoms with little steam then this book is for you. This book was an enjoyable read, that kept me engaged throughout. I adored Archie and Meyer. The banter was great and I loved the side characters - definitely need a Willa/Kingston story and also a Tripp story. I wish this was a dual pov, I would have loved reading Archie's thoughts.

Well this was utterly delightful!

Second chance romance isn’t generally a troupe I gravitate to but I had such a good time reading this! Meyer and Archie are both strong, well defined characters with their own unique personalities that you’re able to easily root for. I really enjoyed the pacing of the book and the banter was amazing! My only wish is that is waa dual pov, I would have loved to spend some time in Archie’s head.

If you enjoy second chance romance or just want to give the troupe a chance I highly recommend.

I was ready for an immeasurable amount of angst but this book surprised me
.
A second chance light romance with a good use of the amnesia resource, in a small town that makes you want to return
.
Meyer has had a year of personal and financial growth, after her divorce she went through difficult times but managed to get ahead and live a good and easy life. But everything changes when she receives a call from the local hospital saying that her husband had an accident and is in a difficult situation
.
With minimal injuries but unable to remember the last two years of his life. Archie believes that they are happily married and by doctor's orders he must discover the truth on his own to prevent further damage
.
Meyer is forced to live with an ex-husband she hasn't seen for over a year and trying no to flinch every time he wants to kiss her
.
I really liked how Meyer faced the situation, they both needed to grow and mature as people but I'm missing Archie a bit, I would have liked his point of view to understand him better and believe more that he deserved a second chance with Meyer. I can see and love how she grew up and became a better version but I didn't see the same in him
.
But Carina Taylor's books have a very particular charm in their plot and how the conflict is resolved, which put her books among the best romcoms I've read
.
Thanks to Carina Taylor and Victory Editing group for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion
.
