This book was full of romance, suspense, and I love the mix of paranormal elements of dragons, shifters, and more. The whole series is full of intensity as the world rebuilds itself and new paranormal threats and everyday forces and suspense to the plot. The hero is loyal, fierce and full of passion. The heroine Avery is adorable yet was a cop strength. Great plot that moves quickly and leading the reader to finish as soon as possible to find that satisfying ending.

Another yummy dragon shifter romance. Avery put Mikael in the friend zone, and he has no clue what that means after having been asleep for thousands of years. Danger comes calling and he finally moves out of the friend zone. Lots of action, drama, adventure, romance and sex along the way. So nice to see all the previous peeps.

There are so many more creatures (dragons, lions, tigers, wolves, phoenix) to get HEAs, but I'm sure we are going to have to wait until the last book for Aurora and King.

Once a dragon general, Mikael wakes to a world in the midst of chaos and rebuilding. He and his brothers are sent to live and assist Avery with the rebuilding of New Orleans. Mikeal has nothing left from his old life except his brothers and Avery seems to be in the same boat. But the beautiful human is all business and Mikael can sense she has seen her fair share of betrayal. But when something from her past resurfaces and endangers her once again, he's not going to let her keep him at a distance anymore. In fact once he's eliminated the danger he's going to claim her once and for all.

As always Reus has another hit. She keeps writing them and isn't slowing down. Enjoy this read as much as I did when you dig into it from the beginning.

Gotta love these dragons, so much I read them over and over and every time feels like the first. When Avery agrees to look out for 3 dragons, little does she know that one intends to be more then just a friend. I love Hunter he’s so cute!

A great sci-fi story full of witty banter between the characters. The action packed plot keeps you turning the pages. I really enjoyed this one!

Katie Reus has the ability to write a story in a way the readers are pulled in right away. I might not be a huge fan of supernatural books but something about this series. Its might little secret because yes there is steamy sexy time. Readers will want to step into the shoes of the characters as the story comes to life.

Some of your fave characters are back along with some new ones. This is Mikael's and Avery's love story. Throw in a deranged vampire, crazy parent and step parent dynamics and baby dragons. An excellent read from beginning to end.

There is so much to love about this book, not only is it a book about finding yourself, but there is suspense, steam, and of course romance. This is my first book in this series, but I will be going back for the rest of them. If you are a fan of paranormal romance don't hesitate!

Ancient Enforcer is the third book in the Ancients Rising series by Katie Reus. This can easily be read as a standalone book, but reading the whole series is so worth it! I absolutely love this series and it keeps getting better!

I don't even know where to start, this book is filled with so much good stuff! The world the author has created is fascinating and I feel so invested in it. The characters are relatable, likable, and captivating!

Did I mention there are supernaturals and humans living together to survive this world? Wow!!! Dragon shifters, wolves, fae, witches, vampires and humans have come together to thrive in these new circumstances and boy, do they make this book exciting!

The romances in this book are so steamy (NSFW level steam!) and the chemistry is off the chart.

I loved how fast paced this book was, filled with twists and turns and enough suspense to make me not put this one down!

I can't wait to see what happens next with this series!

If you love romance, fantasy, and adventure, then this book is for you! I highly recommend it!

I've read all of this series and think it would enhance the experience if readers were familiar with the characters but it could be enjoyed as a stand alone book also. When Mikael and his brothers are assigned to stay with Avery and her brothers sparks are evident for him from the first glance. Avery takes a while to open up because of her family history. As a dragon shifter, Mikael is powerful yet kind and gentle to his intended. It is an endearing romance with plenty of adventure and friendship. The rebuilding community has much to struggle with but a sense of supportive community isn't an issue. I read the book on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

These books are so addictive. I know that we will eventually work our way through all the unpaired off characters and cannot wait for more.

Mikael is an ancient dragon who was awakened soon before the public outing of supernaturals through a horrible attack. Since then, humans and supernaturals alike have been trying to figure out what this new world looks like. Avery, the appointed "babysitter" of Mikael and his brothers, becomes very valuable after "the fall" due to her construction background and having already known about the things that go bump in the night. Mikael, immediately upon meeting her, knows she is his mate. Avery... she takes some time to get convinced he is even interested in her.

In this new world, there are tons of big bads floating around, and the one from this book just so happens to be tied to both Avery and Mikael in one way or another. Throw in a dragon baby, the building burn between King and his unclaimed mate, and some new dimensions, and you've got a book that is very hard to put down. I really enjoyed the romance here, no matter how long it took to get to the smutty bits. These two are a great match and I hope we get to meet the mystery women that Mikael's brothers are interested in!

This was an amazing book about finding one’s place in the world with your soulmate. Avery has had some hard times in her life and things are starting to look up. Her town is slowly rebuilding and she gets to be a part of it. She was asked to take in three dragon shifters who have woken up after sleeping for a thousand years. As soon as she meets them she immediately feels like they are family and she has some very strong feelings for the oldest one, Mikael. He is beyond strong, smart, and lethal and he protects what is his. He is determined to win her Avery over at all costs. This was a great story and I loved the characters!

Dragon shifters, adventure, and non-stop action! A fun read with likeable characters and evil villains that make the adventure all the more fun. And a bit of longing, lust and romance thrown in. A fun paranormal read!

It was great to catch up with some previous characters and meet new ones. Loved the latest book in the Ancients Rising series. Laughed, cried enjoyed the chemistry between Mikael and Avery and absolutely adored Hunter the dragonling. Loved the twists and turns in Avery and Mikael's journey.

It reads pretty well as a stand alone, but there are a lot of characters, so it could be confusing. It is set in New Orleans-which I truly enjoy. Love the vibes of that city. What a fantastic, beautifully written series. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry and talk about steam. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.

Highly entertaining, emotionally thrilling, heart racking and action-packed romantic adventure filled with desire, witty and engaging charters, exciting twists and emotional turns. Was a edge of your seat exciting journey from beginning to end and so hard to put down.

I think I actually read this book before. It was familiar.. Mikael and hs two brothers had recently woke up from the deep sleep of theiir kind and King housed them with Avery and her two brothers. He immediately knew she was his mate. His dragon knew first, but he caught up quickly. She was helping him learn about this time after the fall when many were killed.. It was cute that they both thought the other just wanted to be friends, A rogue vampire was turning humans and they were killing other humans. Plus her dead beat father shows up and wants a favor. Her brothers get in trouble and King and his friends race to save them. There was plenty of drama in this story and it keeps you well entertained. A good book
